Fleur listened to Zoey's response to her question, eyes hooded with an impatient expression. "I would say both," she replied to her initial statement. When Zoey continued talking about Fleur herself, the girls expression slowly relaxed into a blank one. She looked at Zoey as if the woman had begun to talk in a foreign language that she couldn't understand. When she finished talking Fleur spoke again. "I don't know who you think you are," she replied in a voice suddenly dead of emotion. "But you just made my sh*t list." Once she finished, her face slowly filled with her cocky attitude again as if that passing comment had never happened. "Oh, no worries I don't mind being in the back for now. Traps aren't exactly my kind of thing." She turned to face the hissing that suddenly filled the corridors in time to see dozens of serpents spill into the halls from seemingly everywhere. This didn't seem to please Aurora at all as she looked like she was starting to have a panic attack. Wonderful timing. Now daddy was being drawn into the picture too. Fleur put her hands on her hips and looked over at Humphrey before looking back at Zoey. "What is it with her now? Don't tell me HE'S daddy?" She asked in an annoyed tone, referring to Humphrey. "I can see you going Tsundere for the doofuses," she added mockingly. As soon as Zoey gave instructions, Fleur's crystals flipped upwards and into attack position. Instead of doing anything fancy she stood her ground, launching both beams and crystal rockets towards the new attackers. She mostly took advantage of her crystals explosive nature by detonating them once they were among a clump of the monsters, sending razor-sharp shards in every direction to try and inflict as much damage as possible in as wide a radius as possible.
And in the end, all will kneel before me

The Atlantians were relentless with their assault. What they lacked in strength they made up for in sheer numbers. Wave after wave the Atlantian's poured into the halls with no end in sight. The majority of the scaly foes focused on group one thanks to Blake. Even though, Blake were the Atlantian's focus for the time being a few decided to challenge Illo as well. At first his distortion field proved effective in warding off simple attacks but as the Atlantian's number's grew so did their ferocity. From a distance it looked as if group one was lost in a sea of enemies. The tides of battle were surly shifting for the young sorcerer and monk. It was odd but amidst the chaos any Atlantian the approached Aurora paused and simply left her alone. There was no telling why they were avoiding the young girl but it helped out Humphrey, who was huddled up with Aurora.
As group one was being swarmed by Atlantians the stragglers were being picked off by Fleur. Her crystal shards were proving effective against the small group of foes that approached them. Since the threat at group two was being handled Zoey ordered for her group to continue forward. The mercenaries grunted as they lugged the heavy cargo. The team of researchers, who were currently terrified, followed the mercenaries from the back of the group. Zoey folded her arms across her chest and watched her daughter carefully. There was a concerned look on Zoey's face but the mission came first.
" Humphrey and myself? " Zoey followed her question with a hearty chuckle. "Quite the sense of humor you have child. But it's as I expected, Aurora is still bound to her father's will. She won't fight the Atlantians even if I was to command her. Dam that blasted man. Even now he still manages to oppose me. At least the Atlantian's won't attack her either. Sadly I can't say the same for the rest of the group. Come Fleur we must hurry time is limited."
Zoey whistled and instructed her group to head down a different path from the first group. Group two quickened their pace and headed down a hallway away from group one, as Zoey instructed. Instead of helping the first group, Zoey thought it would be best to leave them behind. Despite her decision, Zoey still held a concern look upon her face.
"Aurora meet us in the throne room." She shouted.
Amongst the sound of clashing steel and hissing from the Atlantians a loud humming could have been heard overhead. The foreign noise was subtle at first but it grew as time progressed. Zoey immediately recognized the sound and knew that she had to hurry. She looked up towards the ceiling and noticed the blue gems hanging above were beginning to glow.
"s**t, Fleur!" She shouted.
Displaying quick reflexes, Zoey grabbed Fleur by the back of her dress and with one arm threw her back several feet towards the mercenaries. Fleur might have been surprised by Zoey's strength or she may have upset about being tossed like some discarded trash but the truth is, Zoey actually save her life. Moments after a veil of light rained down from the ceiling. The veil of light was very elegant and beautiful but equally as deadly. The blue gems were creating these rays of lights, which acted as barriers closing off the labyrinth of hallways. Not only did the veil separate the groups physically but the veil also cut off everyone's vision of each other. The Veil was far to thick to see pass. Some of the Atlantians that got caught in the veil of light burned in its radiance and was instantly vaporized without a trace. Needless to say this new trap was fatal to all who touched it.
"Before you start yelling at me you should know this is trap I spoke of earlier Fleur. It's called Heaven's Veil. I instantly destroys a person's body and soul upon contact. Only those with a pure soul may pass through unscathed. Seeing how Noir is wielding you like a puppet I take it that your soul is anything but pure. Seeing how we are cut off from the other we can move freely now. Come on you lugs double time"
Zoey snapped her fingers and once she did the group of mercenaries began assuming there true forms. All of the mercenaries had manifested into seven foot tall hulking demons. The group of demons yelled as they were overjoyed to assume there real forms. The archeologist cried out in fear at the sight .
"Sleep" Zoey whispered.
With a slight wave of her hands all of the archeologist fell into a tranquil state of mind. It was clear that Zoey placed some sort of spell on them. With the Mercenaries in their true form they were able to carry the wooden boxes with ease now. The demons walked door the hallway with the dazed archeologist following closely behind.
Illo opened his eyes slowly, the closest to startled a meditating monk gets, as his field began to become overwhelmed. The exercise in spatial dynamics was an interesting one in that Illo had to concentrate on several points all at once. Slightly annoyed, at both himself and the attackers, Illo resolved that fists would be the remedy to the congestion plaguing the crew.
From that floating lotus position Illo would spin horizontally and unfurl his legs to perform a very exaggerated and powerful back crescent kick on one of the advancing serpents. With his power the soldier took flight immediately and slammed unconscious into the wall of troops. The weakened point in their attack gave Illo something to concentrate on as he hit the ground.
Wasting no time, the monk went to work on the body of the aforementioned goon with several large body hooks. This was meant to increase the gap on that area, and it was working. Every blow quaked through the line of soldiers now supporting the K.O'd serpent's body like a tuning fork, and it wasn't long before spears broke and enemies gave way under the sheer strain of Illo's power. Keep in mind these were full-on strikes; one should never let the Iron Phoenix have room to charge up.
It was inevitable, though, that the other soldiers began attacking from the rear and sides of the monk. Illo could sense this, but took a few minor cuts anyway. A telekinetic charge burst out of the monk, spherical in shape of course, and sent those in the first row of the attack, but this shouldn’t be thought of as enough to wipe them out. A telepathic call went out to Blake to take the pressure off the monk while he continued to work his way through the line; time to go digging!
And he dug and dug until there was a collapse in a part of the crowd. Immediately, thanks to the help of Blake no doubt, Illo was able to teleport away and continue with momentum. He went it this way with hook kicks and arm locks to trap spears. The serpents really didn’t know what hit them, and though there were many they amounted to little more than a warm up for the monk, who used their numbers to sure up his form. He smirked in that moment, glad he got some live practice in again, when the columns started coming down.
“That looks interesting…” He didn’t really have a want or need to get out. As fas as he was concerned the enemy was trapped in the halls with him, not the other way around.

Fleur didn't hear Zoey as she called out to her, still too concentrated on the enemies she was shredding. She yelled out in surprise when she was grabbed and pulled out of the way of the newly formed veil. "What the heck!?" She asked as she realized that the veil was quite dangerous. She listened to Zoey's explanation of the veil with a sour expression. "Let's get something straight: I'm not one's puppet," she replied, addressing what was (in her mind) the most important issue first. "Just because your daughter doesn't have enough brains to act without you pulling her strings doesn't mean that nobody else does." Though Zoey was right about the whole purity thing: there was no way she'd pass through that alive. She looked on in surprise as Zoey changed all her mercenaries into giant demons. She didn't see that coming. Though she hadn't really been paying attention to them at all. Fleur looked back at Zoey when she summoned her. She was right. They did have work to do. Though their work might not necessarily be the same thing. Without a word she followed Zoey down the hallway.
Maybe it was due to graduating to soon, that had to be it. For some reason he felt a spark that hadn't been lit since his old days at the academy. Every punch he landed, each bruise and scrape he earned, they brought Blake closer the thrill of a battle with odds stacked against him. Using his menace as a supplement to enhance his reflexes Blake kept a five foot distance of space atop a mound of fallen Atlatians. Spears would fly in droves, passing through the air much faster than the average human could manage. The spear shower, however, wasn't beyond his ability. Dodging four or so, the sorcerer proceeded to catch the fifth, examining it a bit before sending his wavelength through its entirety. In one swift motion he pierced the mound of Atlantians below himself, it wasn't much serious as it was for show.
In that act alone he gained the hate of every water dwelling freak in sight. Seeing as how Illo wanted some breathing room he'd take it upon himself to deal with the brunt of the Atlanitan force. With the perfect spell in mind Blake took off speeding, cyan-colored light glowing from his closed hands. In a singe trip around the feild he'd open his hands up, releasing bright incandescent web that spread and stretched till it was about thirty feet across. Aiming to drag it in-tow, the sorcerer would catch as many unsuspecting troops as possible. With each intersection on the net fitted with five foot tallons protruding forth Blake would take a quick breather sitting atop what looked like a large sack filled with impaled Atlatians and their fortunate comrades.
Oi, speak clearly when you're talking through my head. I can't stand pcionic outcries! Blake'd spit back as he watch Illo's movements as he advanced through the front lines. Looking back he noticed Humphrey and Aurora being passed off as non-threats by the sea-creatures. By the way, what's up with all the fish avoiding those two over there? If the monk had time too look back he'd spot Blake motioning his thumb towards the collapsed Aurora along with Humphrey.
Soul Force - Thunder: Blake is greatly skilled at bending his wavelength, so much so that it takes the form of actual lightning and is shown using it both offensively, defensively, and supplementary. He can use it to further increase his physical capabilities, granting him extraordinary control of both speed and agility. In addition to being able to channel lightning through weapons, he can discharge large amounts of it from his body. A supercharged brain can keep Blake highly alert and focused. When fighting seriously Blake has began known to pick up & read static wavelengths, literally feeling a living being's impulse bounce before they move.
Yaggdytha [52] (The Incandescent One): When invoked, the Blake begins manifesting amorphous, incandescent balls of cyan-colored living energy. Altering his wavelength, Blake can form webs of giant talons of light from said energy. While the web may be used to restrain the movement of opponent's wavelength and large objects, the talons are geared toward piercing through an opponent's wavelength, physically rooting itself within the soul and objects. Adding to the level of restraint this spell achieves when used in tandem with other abilities.
Shundō: Assault Hunt: This skill utilizes the user's powerful leg strength while simultaneously increasing the users speed by concentrating energy around the soles of one's feet to the rest of their legs. Although it doesn't increase the user's strength, at high speeds, the attacks can still be strong enough to break metal bare handed. With enough consecration one can even kick off of the air itself. Blake's technique when utilized reaches up to mach speeds.

Now that Heaven's Veil was in effect the Atlatians began departing. Even though the mystical light was a keystone in Atlantis's defense system ; it appeared that the Atlatians wanted no part of it. The group had officially been separated from each other and was now tasked with navigating through the labyrinth of halls. The remaining Atlatians dropped their weapons and slithered off into different locations. The Dwma students should have noticed that even the Atlatians were avoiding the magical veil of light.
"It's Heaven's Veil." Aurora mentioned in almost a whisper.
With the immediate threat gone, Aurora managed to get back to her feet with Humphrey's aid.
"I'm sorry but I'm not allowed to hurt the Atlatians. I wouldn't want father to be mad with me. We should keep moving. Mother wants us to meet in the throne room."
Humphrey was dumbfounded and was about to question Aurora but a beastly roar echoed through the halls. The roar was startling and powerful enough to shake the walls. Humphrey fell on his butt and gazed in the direction the roar was coming from. Heaven's Veil prevented the group from back tracking but it was clear that the source was coming from the Blue Cruise's location.
"Wa wa what in god's name was that?" Humphrey said nervously.
"It's the white haired woman." Aurora replied.
After another roar the Dwma student should have heard the sound of wood and steel being smashed to bits. To be precise they should have heard the sounds of the Blue cruise being smashed to bits.
"Now she's destroying our ship. Mother will be upset about that, she liked that ship. We should be safe for now, Heaven's Veil should have isolated her in the docking bay and I'm certain that she would not be able to pass through the light without being killed. Still we should avoid facing her directly. Down here she has the advantage and I won't be able to fend her off for long." She said in a dull monotone voice.
"Wait are you telling me that our only means of escape is gone!" Humphrey yelled.
"Yes."
"How can you be so calm about this? We are miles below the surface."
"Should I not be calm?"
"Oh god please tell me this isn't happening. Blake, Illio help me out here. Do you two have any ideas on what we should do next?"
"We should keep moving." Aurora interrupted.
Instead of waiting for a response, Aurora began traveling down a hallway with a set of ascending stairs. Aurora appeared very focused and confident, she actually navigated as if she had been here before.
While the others dealt with the realization that their only means of transport was forever lost, Zoey continued her chat with Fleur. Zoey wasn't a fool, she knew that Fleur was a powerful kishin but she still insisted on getting under the woman's skin.
"Not a puppet? Are you trying to convince me or yourself? Noira Blackwing has her hand shoved so far up your backside that I could smell her on your breath. Enlighten me Fleur, why is it that you follow that blasted woman around again? Do you believe that she will take away all of your fears and pain? Or is it that you're afraid of her and have nowhere else to go? Is that why you willing allowed her to place her blasted mark upon you? How about we cut the pleasantries and be honest with ourselves for a moment darling. Noira is a tyrant, who rules through fear and do you know why? It's because no one has been brave enough to oppose her. But what if I was to tell you that there was a way to kill that b***h? What if there was something down here that could do just that? Would you still follow her blindly if you had the opportunity to free yourself from her grasp? Listen to me Fleur, that woman is just like Death. They both want nothing more than absolute control but they are fools. What this world needs is order. Witches, Demons, and Kishins deserves to rule this world not Death, not Noira, or any one person as a matter of fact. I have done my homework on the Blackwings over the years Fleur. Information is rather difficult to come by but I know enough and I know that a talented woman like yourself is wasting your time with that group. Do you actually think you can spread your wings and shine, while, Noira blocks out the sun with her wings? Like I said before I knew who you were the moment you stepped onto my ship. I could have had you killed but that would have been a waste of talent. After all I witnessed the fight you had against my daughter so I knew of your skills. It's true my daughter has grown dull over the years but she is still a formidable opponent I assure you. Sadly she is too stubborn and fixed in her old ways to see the threat that has yet to come. So Fleur I have a simple question for you and all I want is a simple answer. I know that deep down you are afraid of Noira, which is good because fear forces one to change and evolve. So if you had the opportunity to break free from her grasp, spread your wings and fly would you take it? Or would you rather remain a puppet? "
Zoey stopped walking and awaited Fleur answer. Up until now Fleur had avoided Zoey's questions but now Zoey was being direct. Interestingly enough, Zoey spoke to Fleur in a concerned manner. She generally seemed to be looking out for Fleur best interest. While Zoey awaited Fleur's response the demons reached a series of stairs. The lumbering giants carefully totted the wooden boxes up the stairs.
Illo would have cursed if he could think of the words or the target to which they might fly; given the sudden exodus enemy forces, which aggravated him, had taken his audience away in addition to giving him a tough choice on which to be more upset about: the ship or the warm up cut short.
... But, dawned the smirk on his ruddy face, the others were away from him now. There seemed to be nothing holding him back--and even some things pushing him forward! Into the abyss; further, deeper, illuminating the dark halls into which the enigmatic ones slithered with the light of knowledge. He was already there, mentally. So with instant movement he started off into one of the stone channels.

Fleur glanced back in the direction of the boat when she heard a roar and the monster begin tearing it apart. "Well that's just great," she muttered angrily. She turned her attention back to Zoey as she began speaking to her again. The longer Zoey talked, the more visibly angry Fleur became. "With or without that mark, Noira has no control over me!" She replied angrily. Her fangs were showing as she spoke, something that only happened when she was in combat or really upset. "I know who Noira is better than you do! She's nothing but a scared little girl who happened upon a power she doesn't understand. I know there's a way to kill her! It's to beat her into a black, bloody pulp that can't reform itself no matter how hard it tries!" She grit her teeth as she continued to listen. "I don't care who rules the world. But no one will get in my way." She seemed to calm down some as Zoey complimented her. "I'm not a puppet, but if you know a way to defeat Noira, I'd love to hear it." She was focused like a laser on Zoey, ignoring everything else completely.
Seemingly more intrested in exploring the ruins on his own Blake didn't even think twice about Illo taking his own pace. Batting away the large catch of Atlantians he found their group in asmall bit of a pridicament in terms of directions. It was then that Henry voiced his wanting to leave their venture as soon as possible had it not been for Aurora planing to move on. With Illo gone the best course of action was to move forward. Blake focused solely on following Aurora as she navigated through the maze that was Atlantis, waiting for the chance to let loose on another opponent.
OOC: I'm really sorry guys, my life got too hectic for a while after November. If any of you are still wiling to finish the mission I'm down to see it to the end.
