Groaning his protest, he pressed his weight in her chest childishly. "Fine," he said, drawing the word out with a yawn. "Spooky house, dead tree, near the cemetery, foggy...Oh." He grinned a secret grin. "Tombstone for a headboard, am I right, Vampira? Go shop for some dragon minipet in a golem while you're at it, too, f'you want one so much."

Chel let out a wheeze- Jack was heavy when he wanted to be.

"Oh? M'I invited to your haunted house now?"

"Mmhmm. Skeleton key and everything. Sound good?"
PostPosted: Fri Jun 19, 2015 6:32 pm

"Sounds awesome," she told him earnestly, unintentionally squeezing him harder than she meant to. "It'll be like havin' a hotel room ev'ry night."

She snickered something low and ran a hand down his strands of hair. "It'll be the bat cave"

He didn't at all mind the pressure. If anything, he forced his arms under her so he could return the favor, strangely gleeful despite the exhaustion and drowsiness hanging over them both. But the tight hug (and the bonus short, eager kiss accompanying) marked the end of close contact as he hit his limit for the moment. Jack rolled off and laid out on his back, joints popping as he stretched his legs to their full length; his feet, as usual, hung over the side of the bed as he did so.

"Ohhhhhhh s**t, I forgot about that," he said. "Hell yeah. We could hide our special mission gear there or something..."

Chel made a noise as he got off, but it was routine. He rolled on his back, she rolled on her side (Chel slept on her side anyways). Her knees bumped into his thighs and she put her chin on the edge of his shoulder, greedily grabbing for his hand. Jack needed as little contact as possible, but Chel was still very dependent on his touch. She at least knew not to push it now.

"Gimme yer shirt," she said, making grabby hands at the white cloth on the ground. Without her enormous beanstalk heater it was cold.

Slothlike, he inched to the side of the bed and swung his free arm over, fumbled for the shirt, and swung back up with his prize. The shirt draped over her head like a blanket more than an article of clothing.

"These beds're too damn small," Jack grumbled as he wiggled his feet over the other side of the bed. This wasn't news, he just wanted an excuse to complain. When Chel finished putting on her extra layer, he turned on his side and curled his legs a little, pulling her arm over him like a seatbelt.

"Cozy, Chauncey?"
PostPosted: Sat Jun 20, 2015 1:23 pm

"No, Chauncey's only comfortable on-" A yawn. "A solid diamond mattress."

In Jack's shirt she was enveloped in her lover- his clothing, his body, the way he smelled- and it was all hers. There was a warmth she couldn't describe to other people. It was why it was so frustrating and confounding when Chris said I feel like he's going to be the reason I end up without my family. The only fear she had with Jack was the feeling that some day, her all wouldn't be enough anymore. That her luck would finally run out and hard work wouldn't be enough for the hand that snatched him away.

She closed her eyes and let his breathing become hers too. "Chel never wants to leave."

It wasn't easy to wake up before Chel this time; he was inclined to stay in their position, and he had a small headache developing from the collective aftermath. But he was determined to continue the spoiling treatment to the very end, and so he made a few quiet phone calls before getting up to clean himself. Jack had to anyway; his routine usually took longer than Chel's.

He stared through the porter that brought them their breakfast, daring him to question what sort of life led a man to have those sorts of scars and makeup. (He was only half finished; the meal was brought faster than expected.) Jack thanked him politely and only smiled to himself after the door closed.

He let the smell of food have a chance to wake Chel up as he went to go finish putting his face on.

Every couple had their fights and their annoyances and their pet peeves. One of Chel's was that Jack never stayed in the goddamn bed. It gave her a momentary shock to her system every time it happened that had her pawing around in the bed, waiting for the bad news before remembering he was just a high maintenance a*****e.

It was worse when met with an unfamiliar room, unfamiliar smells and a bathroom door that made it so she couldn't tell if it was in use or not.

"Jack?" Somehow smaller than usual. Tired, groggy from having just woken up, but an edge of fear to it. "You better be in that bathroom."

"Yeah," he called from within. "Finishing up." A little bit more moisturizer here and...there we go. He felt a little less gross. Yawning, he set his things down and ran a hand through his bedhead as he left the bathroom.

"Morning, you." He leaned over and gave her a quick kiss. "I got us some breakfast in bed." He indicated several trays of still steaming assortments, as well as a full canter of coffee for yours truly. "I booked it like we were staying a second night so they don't kick us out before noon," Jack added. "Figured we could find something to watch while we ate or something."

While Jack already looked the image of perfection (reputation, reputation), Chel was the polar opposite. She hadn't bothered washing off her makeup last night (they had been somewhat busy and now it was slightly smudged across her face. Her hair, which had been the pinnacle of class was now disheveled in a stylish sex hair look.

She looked like Chel should have looked.

The kiss met the back of her head, considering she had once again face planted into the pillow. Chel was not built for mornings.

Somewhere in the fog of being half asleep she heard Jack making important adult decisions, but for the next ten minutes she was out. After a second groggy wake up, she finally shuffled herself to the bathroom without a word, choosing not to acknowledge his kind gesture until she had a face on to do it.

She came out of the bathroom with her hair tied back in a "I literally could not care less about how I look" kind of way, dark circles around her eyes (both drawn in and part of her tiredness) and a semblance of "I'm awake, but ironically." Underwear was fished off the floor but she didn't bother with anything beyond that and Jack's shirt, which had now become her shirt.

Romantic getaway mornings were much less romantic when you'd done them a thousand times in your own room and didn't have anything clever to tack on.

Now that she had blinked her eyes enough times to be awake, she returned to the room of the living. Jack was flipping through channels and she unceremoniously interrupted, putting herself on him with a flop. "Feed me."

Grinning at the more familiar, disheveled sight, he shifted and allowed her to get comfortable. "One second. We have s**t for selections," he said as he scanned for what was available. "Project Almanac, The Lazarus Effect...What the ********?" He paused, then barked a laugh. "Channing Tatum is a ******** space werewolf in this one, but more importantly they got Mila Kunis. I'm not still drunk, am I?"
PostPosted: Sat Jun 20, 2015 2:33 pm

"Keep takin' second glances 'cause my hair's black and green now," she commented as he scanned through. "Mila Kunis' hot."

She rolled off of him, impatient for her food. She didn't bother with a plate, just took a fork and ate out of the pan while he picked out whatever movie they were going to ignore. "Think I'll send Abbi a tweet. Jack wants t'marry me. Bet that'll go well, yeah?"

He grinned some more and said, "S'like they said: you are what you eat."

And then the grin faded to something drier.

"She'd have a field day," he sighed. "Plaster s**t on Twitter like before. I don't want that. Not before it actually happens at least." Because he knew Chel would happily crow it from one side of the island to the other herself.

"Can you imagine doing it before the a** pirates? s**t, they've been planning for over a year or something now, Ian'd be so mad." Though Jack didn't sound bothered by it. He just downed the rest of his second cup of bland coffee.
