Chance didn't care that Otto had forgotten he was there; the music swelled over him, enveloping him entirely, and Otto's rapturous, enthusiastic face, the movements of his arms and hands as he played, made everything entirely worth watching.
He didn't know how much time had passed, but the snapping of the stick dragged Chance out of his reverie, and he exhaled a long breath, grinning over at Otto.
"Man," he said with a sigh, Chance flopping back onto the couch and taking up most of it in the process. "That was ******** incredible. Thanks for letting me hear you play, seriously, I feel super privileged to get to hear that."

"It weren't free." He mused idly, meandering toward the couch. "You owe me like.. ten cheesecakes now." Lies. He owed nothing. "Nah, thanks for listening." He smiled, tilting his head at Chance and his hogging of the couch. He'd just have to sit on the man during movie time. He'd deal with it. "I think the more I let people watch me play, the less I'll feel so self conscious about it." And he hadn't felt nervous that whole time.

"Fine, nine cheesecakes and a pie it is," Chance deadpanned, grinning up at Otto from his position on the couch. "Seriously, it was probably one of the most amazing things I've ever seen you do, that was flat out incredible."
He pushed himself up into a sitting position, swiping a hand though his hair.
"And I've seen you do a lot of stuff, so you should always feel ******** proud that you can do that, because otherwise I'll probably just go on for the next ten minutes about how cool that was."

"I'd rather not let it go to my head." Otto murmured with a smile. He climbed onto the couch to sit with Chance, his head resting on the back of it. "And I'll be holding you to that pie." And the cakes.

"Is that 'cause your head's already big enough?" Chance asked airily, a cheeky grin on his face. He leaned casually back against Otto's shoulder, fingers laced over his stomach, legs dangling over the arm of the couch. "As for the pie, well, I'll have to take you back to that one bakery we went before, what with all of the cakes from there."
Chance's eyes flickered to the television.
"Are we gonna watch another natural disaster film, or a Disney one?"

"I think... after all that s**t we went through? Seein' stuff get destroyed and a lot of people dyin' ain't such a cool idea for now. So let's go Disney." Otto murmured, staring absently at the shelf across from him. "Gimme a sec." He pressed his hand to Chance's shoulder, getting off the couch and setting up the movie. He returned shortly after, remote in hand, and let Chance lean on him once more. Pulling his knees to his chest, he pressed play. The tell tale opening came on, as a fairy flew over Cinderella's castle; the trademark logo of Disney. Then? The narrative played, and it was obvious Otto had chosen to play Tangled.

"Disney works for me," said Chance brightly, almost falling over in spite of the warning Otto had given him. He flopped back against the couch and waited until Otto had gotten back to move again, head resting against Otto's shoulder.
"Ooh, so like a fairy tale, right," said Chance, reaching for a pillow and gathering it against his chest, eyes fixed on the screen. "I haven't seen any of these movies before."
This was made abundantly clear, considering how eagerly he was now watching the first opening number in Rapunzel's tower began to play.

"Yup. Fairy tale. Kind of a different spin on one." Disney had a habit of making the tales their own. "You're uh.. in for a treat I guess." Honestly he had no clue how Chance would take a Disney flick. Chance had little experience with movies as it was. Did he even know about plays? At least maybe story books? Otto had loved story books as a kid. He used to go to the local library to hide from his family, and spend the time reading fairy tales and other books in the children's section.

"I've read some of Grimm's original fairy tales," said Chance, without taking his eyes off of the screen, and in answer to Otto's unasked question. "But as you're well aware, my knowledge of movies is limited to approximately three things. I also highly doubt that this movie is like the original Grimm tales, because most of those were, well...grim."
He clasped the pillow to his chest and tilted his head to grin up at Otto before his gaze flickered back to the movie.
"Talk about creepy, those ones."

"I'd like to see movies of the Grim versions." Otto murmured back, dragging another stray pillow towards himself as well. "They were my favourites to read as a kid." "That.. and books on Volcanoes."

"So you liked all of the creepy stuff, hm?" Chance asked, with some amusement. On screen, Flynn Ryder was running through the woods, bag clasped in his hand. "I was particularly a fan of anything involving Peter Pan, J.M. Barrie was a very interesting writer."
He gave a little laugh. "I'm beginning to see how your tastes in books matches your tastes in movies."

Otto grimaced. Peter Pan used to be a cool story. Now all he imagined was a giant hand trying to smash him and Gale into the ground, with lost children tearing out their hearts. "Peter Pan's okay I guess." He dismissed idly. Otto smirked with a light shrug. "Well, natural disasters are just cool, okay?" Not when they happened to him in real life.. but on the page? Epic.

"I liked that one natural disaster movie we watched before," said Chance, sliding his gaze to look at Otto briefly before it flickered back to the screen. "I forgot which one. Twister, I think? Either way, it's pretty crazy to think of something like that actually being caused by nature."
He tugged absently at the pillow in his hands, Chance squishing it against his chest.
"Admittedly, I think I'd prefer watching them happen on screen and not right in front of me, but still."

"Yeah, it was Twister." It so happened to be in his parents repertoire of movies, of which Otto pillaged during one of their rare leaves of the household for the weekend. Much time was spent in front of their TV as Otto gorged on snacks and watched whatever movie he desired. "I kinda wanna see one.. Like, for real.. just don't wanna get hurt." "When I first saw Twister I told my mom I was gunna be a storm chaser for a living. She slapped me upside the head and told me to get real." Apparently it had been a dumb idea.

"Like, an actual twister?" Chance asked interestedly. "I've never seen one myself, either, but I think it would scare the s**t out of me. But at the same time..." He trailed off thoughtfully. "I mean, it's still pretty awesome that it's just...NATURE, you know?"
He gave a soft snort, gently elbowing Otto in the leg. "You're chasing storms now, I think, just a different sort of them," said Chance mildly. "Besides, without stormchasers, I assume science wouldn't have progressed as far as it has, right? Or some s**t like that?"
