The way Sionet barely uttered the word 'friend', so softly that the wind carried it away felt like a hot knife piercing through the numbing frost. Xavier winced, his lip curling enough to show some of his teeth. But why had such a small and simple word hurt him so? Sionet had called him her friend so many times over the years he couldn't possibly add them all up. But now..it felt wrong when she said it, so very wrong.
A hard frown was on his face as they walked up to the building and they were met by two men. Xavier was momentarily dragged out of his thoughts as he looked between the two, coming to a stop beside Sionet. The elderly gentleman's words made Xavier's nostril flare and he was about to make a haughty retort but the way the other man was looking at him and Sionet made the words die in his mouth. The dragon turned his head a bit to get a better look at him, looking a tad weary. "Why do you look upon ourselves in such a mannor?" Xavier questioned.

Sionet Veralee Oroboros At Xavier's words, three sets of eyes turned to look at him, all with the same exact question in them. But it was Sionet's father that spoke up, as the mischievous twinkle returned to his brown eyes. "Oh and pray tell Lord Dragon, what manner would that be?" There was no malicious of ill intent in his words, just plain simple curiosity. While this was going on, the other three finally made their way up there, standing idly back and watching the whole situation with great interst.

Xavier's eyes narrowed slightly as he sized up the man before him. He knew this game all too well, and for him being on the guessing end of it was usually just as fun as being the one withholding the information. "As if you know or see something I do not." The dragon turned his head to give Sionet a rather curious look, as if he could see what her father saw if he inspected her close enough. But Xavier didn't see anything different about her; it was the same petite, large-eyed, long-haired woman he had come to know so well and he himself certainly hadn't changed any. But the more he looked at her Xavier couldn't help feeling as if there really was something different about Sionet today that he had never noticed before. But what was it? As far as he could tell her physical appearance hadn't changed. And yet she seemed far more beautiful to him, radiant even.
Xavier shook his head slightly: it must be caused by her being a familiar sight in a new and unfamiliar place. With a small sniff he walked behind Sionet and around to her side before sitting on the ground, staring at her father curiously.

Sionet Veralee Oroboros Confused Sionet looked from Xavier to her father and back, only to have her attention drawn to grandfather who gave a cough that sounding like a smothered cough. Raising an eyebrow at him, he immediately straightened his body. "Well I think we should enter and get you settled into your room. Come children." he said before turning and walking into the white building, that all of a sudden sprouted a rather large, wide black door. Thought he had a smile on his lips as he did so. Sionet's father frowned and looked at his fathers back, before reaching out and placing a arm around Sionet and pulling her along, "Now come little pet, we will do as the elder. there will be much more time to catch up with you and your friend. But do know that all Elders are here tonight. Even those from the other clans of ours." his voice dropping a few octaves as if he was worried. giving him a confused look, Sionet turned and looked back at Xavier, "Well okay. I knew that all elders were going to be there. But somehow I am starting to feel as if something was going to happen that isn't on our ciriculum." she said as she reached out to touch Xavier lightly with her hand, giving him and the others a small smile, before turning and walking a bit more smoothly with her father and grandfather.

Xavier was just as confused as Sionet was about what the two sirens thought was so amusing. The dragon got to his feet and adjusted his wings against his back as he watched the elderly male head for a large door that hadn't been there before. When Sionet looked back at Xavier he was still a dragon, but when she reached back to touch him he was in his human form and her hand ended up on his warm chest. And he was very naked.
The dark skinned male adjusted the bag slung on his shoulder as he looked up at the building and a small wave of unease washed over him. But he gave Sionet a large, mischievous grin as he strode forward through the door along side her and her relatives. "Is that so? Then perhaps this meeting will be far more amusing than anticipated."

Sionet Veralee Oroboros Xaviers nudity was given a rather few once overs of appreciation from Haily, Hayden and Cyrill. While Sionet hadn't even bothered to look anywhere but his face, thought there was a small twitch to her lips before she had turned and followed her elders. But she spoke up before anyone else could about Xavier's words, "Don't bother asking what he thinks is fun. His ideas of that are rather skewed, so just don't." The slight exasperated tone of her voice got everyone of the Sirens to Chuckle rather amused. Before long they were lead through a few halls and stopped before another set of tall double doors, that were not ornate in the least. When Sionet reached out, her palm touching it, it swung open. The room was the same way she had left it, down to the fine layer of dust that was coating it. Meaning that no one had dared to step into it while she had been absent from the building. As she stared into the mostly darkened chamber she spoke, "I presume that when the time comes for food and meeting, any of the three will be sent to fetch us?" were her words. Which were met with two sighs of acknowledgement as the elder men realized that they were being dismissed along with the younger three sirens.

When he felt a multitude of eyes on him Xavier''s grin spread further; oh how he loved to be the center of attention, even if for just a moment. His violet eyes gazed around curiously as they walked and after going down a few halls they reached a set of modest doors. Xavier came to a stop and watched as Sionet opened them, revealing a dark room that was covered in a layer of dust. His eyes took a good long look before he stepped inside to inspect it: surely this had been Sionet's room long ago when she lived here. Xavier's nose crinkled at all the dust and he went over to the window to draw open the dusty curtains, causing sunlight to flood the room.
Xavier set his bag down on the bed before turning to head back to Sionet and the others. He made a shooing motion at the group with one hand while grasping Sionet's hand with the other, gently pulling the woman inside the room. "Yes, yes, begone." Xavier's eyes gleamed as he reached out to pull the double doors shut. Now that they were alone the man turned around and set his hands on his hips, looking around at the dusty room. Xavier shook his head a bit, causing his jewelry to jingle, before heading back to the windows and opening them. "Sionet, my dear, a refreshing breeze to blow the dust away?" The man crooned while turning his head to look at her and gesturing at the open window.

Sionet Veralee Oroboros Sionet rose an delicately arched eyebrow at Xavier. Placing her hands on her hips she just stared at him with a non-amused look on her face. With a small huff she walked around him and to her bed. Lifting her fingers she snapped them, causing the room shimmer and than appear cleaner, except for piles and piles of books scattered around the room. Than without giving him a glance or saying anything went and flopped down on the king size bed and let her body fall back, arms spread wide. "Seriously Xavier, if you think I am a maid your sadly mistaken. And very hurt you would think I would let a space I live in to be dirty." her voice a soft whisper as she stared at the ceiling.

Xavier gave an approving look around the room after Sionet had worked her magic then turned towards the bed, looking at her curiously. The man strode over and laid down beside her, propping his head up on one of his hands. "What ails you, Sionet?" He asked softly.

Sionet Veralee Oroboros Lifting her head up just enough to look at Xavier after her put his person on her bed, she raised an eyebrow and smiled wanly, "Woman's intuition. I feel as if... something isn't....just quiet right is all...Time will tell us that answer."

For some reason seeing Sionet this way bothered him. Xavier scooted up a ways before reaching out and wrapping his arms around her, pulling the young siren against his chest in a warm embrace. He felt very similar to her, as if something was off somehow. Being close to Sionet almost always seemed to sooth his uneasiness. Xavier closed his eyes and lightly rest his head against hers seemingly content to just lay there and hold her.

Sionet Veralee Oroboros Watching her friend closely she saw him relax after giving her a particular look, not that she was too concerned where he was involved. Years of experience had taught her that he was sometimes to cleaver for his own good. But she was happy over all on a lot of things where he was concerned as well.. Giving a sigh, she let her head and body fall into the bed, enjoying the quiet solitude with him, as the hours seemed to slip on by. Soon enough a knock came to the door, causing Sionet to groan from her half wake state of being. Sitting up, she rolled herself to the edge of hte bed, before making her way to the door. Reaching out, only to hesitate a second before grasping the door handle and pulling the door open. There stood Hailey her eyes looking every where but at her, leaving that odd feeling to grow heavier in the pit of her stomach. "Both of your presences have been requested by the council of Elders." was all she said in a soft voice. Turning and looking over her shoulder, Sionet waited for Xaviers response.

Xavier had dozed off at some point and seemed very unwilling to get up, grunting as Sionet stood to answer the door. The male rolled onto his other side to try and drift off back to sleep but the short conversation at the door had caught his attention. The male opened his violet eyes and turned his head to look over his shoulder at Hailey and Sionet. Finally he sat up and stretched, looking displeased that he had to get up. "Yes, yes, give us a moment." He said irritably before standing up and rummaging through his magical bag. Xavier was getting cold and so he pulled out an outfit for himself consisting of a pair of black dress pants, a soft lilac undershirt with ruffles on the chests and the ends of the sleeves, and a dark purple overcoat with silver trim and buttons. He took his sweet time dressing, making sure everything looked perfect and was in the right place and that none of his hair was caught inside his clothes. Then he brushed out his long hair before finally turning and striding over to the two women, one of his hands lightly settling on his hip. The look on his face said that he expected someone to lead the way and not keep him waiting forever.

Sionet Veralee Oroboros Sionet smiled and rolled her eyes at Xavier's reactions. To her it was his normal antics, while natural is a bit show. Giving a look to their guide, she nodded her head. Getting a small nod in return from Hailey, before she turned and began to lead them through the long, high ceiling corridors. Silence prevailing as Sionet stayed by Xavier's side, her mind wandering. Occasionally allowing her arm to brush against him, as if for the comfort as her nerves showed through.

The male strode after Hailey once she stared moving and at first his violet eyes looked curiously at the corridors and some of the decorations in them but soon enough his expression turned bored, one of his hands resting on his hip as he gave a quiet yawn. There was little more than the sounds of their footsteps to break the maddening silence but something warm and soft caught his attention. Xavier turned his head to the side a tad and glanced downwards at Sionet's arm, which was grazing against him. He could feel the tension coming off her every time she made contact with him and his brow furrowed.
Xavier looked forward again as they walked and he debated on what to do about it. Finally the man turned the hand closest to Sionet palm up and caught her hand in his the next time it swung by him and held it up, reaching over to softly pat the back of it with his other hand in a reassuring way. He held Sionet's soft hand in his for a few minutes, lightly stroking it before releasing her as if nothing had happened. Xavier wasn't one to walk hand-in-hand with someone. At least not for long.
