It was terrifying. It was all a loud roar in Drona's ears; the screams, the ballistas, the sound of her own pulse in her ears. She struggled to keep her glaive in front of her, defending herself against the onslaught of shadows.

What was worse were the dropping bodies. She tried not to focus on them as they fell around her. As a retreat was called she had to help others get to safety, coating her hands in their blood as she stanched wounds and slipped on slicked up skin.

She had to help them. She followed Gawain, because she was needed.

Pure chaos, sometimes she wondered if it was better to be alive by this point.

Would it have been better to pass with her family? At least then it would have been quick (maybe), or even so, at least she wouldn't have been in her current situation. She felt herself wince, following the crowd into the mass to see then impending doom.

Aw crap.

She fell back, following the others. Safe, for now. Or were they?

Sitting inside that room, mingling with the others, was when Remi made her decision. No, no it wasn't better to die. She knew her parents were gone, but the memories of the how and when were taken from her. Now all she remembered was that they were gone. She couldn't relate anymore, couldnt feel that pain.

Wasn't that why she really came?

She knew her strengths, knew she was no healer and boy was she not a defender either.

Aniu Enter/Exit

Everything had gone to chaos. People were screaming, running. Panic reigned. What went wrong. How could this had happened? This wasn't how things where suppose to go. The good guys always won right? So why where they losing.

She sucked in a breathe, unsure what to do. Where to go. Then words rang through her head. The call to fall back. Regroup. She hesitated for a moment before following the order. Yes. Fall back. That was what they needed, surely this would help. She helped drag who she could. Grasping at tattered bits of armor and fabric in a last ditch effort to prove some small bit of worth in the grand scheme of things. But with her small stature there was only so much she could do. What was she hoping to have accomplished. She was an apprentice. She was no Knight. Not yet at least.

A familiar figure stood out as she listened to the Great Knights speak. Neithan. She wondered where he would go. If he would fight, defend, or something else. She knew where she had to go. If he was hurt. What was he thinking, she wondered.

Aniu was no fighter. That was proven tenfold when she had gone on that little quest with Neithan. What good would she do fighting leagues and throngs of monsters, when she had so much trouble getting a silly little trinket. How could she be expected to fight the creatures that nearly killed her before hand.

She was no healer. She didn't have the slightest clue on herbal remedies or how to apply any of that. She knew nothing of how to mend and stitch skin. How to splint and bandage bones. How could she expect herself to heal the wounded. To put them at peace? Aniu would do more harm than good, if anything.

She hoped her friends were okay. She hoped they would continue to be. She wondered where the others were, if they were standing here listening to the Knights talk. She wondered what paths they would take. How they would fair against everything. Against themselves.

No. She had to stop. She had to stop worrying. Had to stop thinking of all the things that would go wrong.

Neithan. Llyr. Night. They would be fine. They would regroup after this. She knew that. They wouldn't want her to worry. They would want her to do the best she could. Even if that meant failing in the end.

She would follow Percival. She had no strength too her. She was small, and lethe. But this. This she would try her best to accomplish. She could help, if nothing else. She could buy the others a few moments time. A distraction if you will. Eat up as much time as she could.

Taking a deep breathe. The young woman steeled herself for what was about to come. This is what she had to remember. She had people counting on her. Depending on her. She had a job to get done. And she would see it through until the end. Big or small. No matter what may, and would eventually come her way. She would face each and every thing that dare cross her.

She followed the Great Knight, noting that she and Neithan once again shared the same course. She flashed the taller man a knowing smile. It was laced with hope and determination, unlike the few she had shared with him before where they were all nerves and wariness. They could do this. She knew they could. They all could. They would triumph. They would win this.

[ Barth ]

Barth winced at their...options.

Right, so, the buff-looking fellow was clearly banged up and covered in blood. And it sounded dangerously like it might be a lot of fetching things. The infirmary would be full of- well, he didn't particularly want to be doing any of that. He was not a healer. At least, he didn't think he was. And Morrigan...well, that would be right into the thick of it, wouldn't it?

Still, there weren't any requirements stipulating he had to be in the thick of it, exactly.

He slid his sword free, admiring the edge.

It would give him a chance to see what, exactly they were up against. What these things were. How they fought. Some grounds to plan ahead, provided there was an ahead. Beyond that, well, he could stop by the infirmary if he happened to have a fairly unseeable injury that nonetheless required some rest and relaxation.

Maybe Zar would be there. He hadn't seen him. He'd wanted to stick close, in case...he'd find him after, he thought grimly. The worst place Zar could be was where he was going, and that's...at least this way, he could make sure... he'd just duck in and out. That was all.

[Amrita]

Oh god. They were making her choose something again.

She looked around, watching fellow apprentice knights split into three groups, and for all her hesitation, she had nothing to show for it. No serious pull between the different areas. Nothing that called to her over the other. People she recognized went in different directions, refusing her the simplicity of following the crowd for the crowd's sake.

Until, of course, she'd seen the boy with the tunic full of snakes run towards Morgan. Somehow, because of that, something clicked in her head: of course, her choice was obvious. She had to follow Percival.

Amrita didn't even stop to question it, she simply ran after the group that followed the blue knight, and didn't look back.

For Kylee, the choice was surprisingly easy.

For some reason, her heart went out to the wounded knights that were dragged past her, and all she wanted to do was to help them tend to their wounds. There was no hesitation when they began to split into three groups; once Gawain mentioned he was helping those who had been hurt, Kylee had already made her choice.

She hurried after the Green Knight.

A feeling of fear washed over him as the sounds of battle started to echo into the dark sky, there had been little thought or even concern that Camelot itself would be attacked. No, he had been a fool heartedly in believing that they were safe anywhere in the entire kingdom let alone at the heart of it all. It was the last place of safety and as long as it existed there were obviously were going to attack as soon as they brought it down they would win. Gripping the handle of the claymore Matt started to move forward, his knees shaking underneath his body as he tried to convince himself that the despair erupting from the center of his heard was nothing more than fear trying to eat away at him.

He had to run, run, run as fast his feet could carry him.

Movement, he started to move as blood splattered across his body as the screaming he heard grew faint to nothing more than a gurgle as the corpse still twitched. Boiling in his stomach there was the feeling the need to hurl but something there stood, lingering in the shadow, it half deformed body twisting watching him. The eyes of the severed gazing at him until another one moved, running towards him, his body couldn’t think of anything to do. Where to go, move, move, it kept screaming in his ears.

The ground shakes, something lit on fire soaring through the sky as Matt didn’t hesitate to run as far as he could, following the words of fall back and not waiting to make it to the Great Hall.

It was safe, no only temporarily safe as the knights moved forward, the numbers dwindling as he looked around seeing all who was left in the hall. As the knights moved forward he thought about following Gawain, there was some knowledge about medical aid he had learned from his father but as he glanced at Percival he knew.

He had to protect, there was where he belonged.

[Xala]

The promise of a battle was strong. She really wanted to see- what, she wasn't sure, but it got her heart fluttery. In all the chaos, would she be able to?

She was sworn to the green knight, and in the end.

Ohhhhhh, tending to the wounded. Did they mean-? They couldn't really mean that, could they? Like, anyone could just come along and-

"Coming with you, sir!" She said, pattering after Gawain.

[ Corbin ]

it was chaos, pure and simple. No other words could describe the insanity that rushed about around him. He could swear that time must have stood still prior, but at this time was now rushing to catch up. A blur. Bodies were starting to pile up all around him. Blood and gore finding its way to splatter across him and his clothing. Not his blood yet. Thankfully. But it was mortifying all the same. It was a bloodbath, yet all he truly felt was not fear. No, maybe it is there, but it is hiding under the vengeance in his heart. He wanted to teach the shadows a lesson.

When Morgan spoke, it was with Corbin's rapt attention upon him. He didn't need to ask. Corbin gladly followed.

[Tyshina]

Another day, another choice. Was all Tyshina could think as she listened to what was being asked of her. A smile was still showing on her face, but today it was more a smile of courage than anything else. For today was the day she needed to choose where her place would be in this battle. This battle that she knew was going to be full of chaos, blood, and most likely bodies.

This was the time she had been waiting for. Since she knew that nowhere in the kingdom was truly safe. Since walls built by brinks can only stand for so long. This was what they were called for, and this was why they were here. They were here to stand against the enemies that threatened them and defend their home.

Her feet slowly moved as she listened to her choices and what each leader had to say. They spoke with such fire and determination that inside she felt like they actually at a chance against the darkness that was beginning to shroud over the land.

It was now and no time before could challenge the urgency as she felt now. Not even the time before with the box was nothing compared to now. She could feel her blood rushing as she thought of which area she would join. Where could she herself be the most use? That was when she heard Morgan speak, and in her heart she knew that was where she could let the fire inside her show. Morgan just spoke to her and she couldn't quite explain it. Maybe it had something to do with her lost memories. Though she knew she would never find out unless she followed it and saw for herself. So she followed without a word and without hesitation. It was her time to show them that chaos was going to end and she was going to protect this kingdom with all she had.
