If she were being completely honest with herself, June had no idea of what she might want to do when she grew older. She was used to sort of drifting through her classes, scoring good marks but never really appreciating them below surface level. None of the core classes excited her to where she might want to focus further on a particular subject. None of the elective classes caught her interest either, despite their artistic allure. This worried her, because what will she do if she graduates and still doesn't know where she should belong? How would she determine which university to go to if she didn't find her path?
The easier option would be to look to her parents for inspiration. Her mother was an incredible seamstress and designer who could make the most lavish dresses. June had tried sitting with her in her sewing room and trying her hand at sewing, but it just wasn't her thing. Her stitches came out all wobbly and all uneven lengths.
