Well, that had... subsequently answered his second question: that Rufflet had been a wild pokemon, emphasis on the past-tense. Apollo didn't know how to feel about now being the 'proud' owner of another battle-hungry pokemon, not to mention its reckless resilience. He stroked his chin and cocked his head, trying to decide what to do from here. Of course, the most obvious reason was to keep the pokemon, it was a flying-type and he was in need of one, eventually. Buuuuut...
Apollo chanced a glance over at Sylvia, taking note of the rather displeased way she now carried herself and the glare she sent the fallen pokeball, it was obvious that she wasn't a fan of the Rufflet. Of course, he couldn't just let one pokemon's initial opinion dissuade him. Althoooough, trying to gauge the room the man noticed the subtle signs of his other two pokemon as well, they didn't seem to be fans either.

Putting the decision on hold for now Apollo turned his attention to his communicator, which vibrated across his wrist with a new message; it was a distraction he was willing to take! The male's eyes lit up when he saw who the sender was, the hint of a smirk already curling at his lips. The pleased expression on his face only grew when he read over Zak's message, though put off replying instantly to search for the translation of 'Bol'shoye spasibo'.
If you're interested, I just caught a Rufflet that I wouldn't be too broken up if I gave it away.
He kept the message short, and withheld any flirts or innuendos this time; he did have the ability to send a normal text and even hold a normal conversation, every now and then. Speaking of normal, Apollo decided to send Cyrus a text while he was at it, fishing out his friend's number and opening up a new window to begin texting him. He kept it simple, though that was partly due to the fact that he didn't know quite what to say, what sort of text did you send a person after a decade? For the musician, it was a greeting and a verification to his identity.

There! He'd managed to find a possibility of a solution, even if it was a definite one it was better than nothing. Apollo kept his communicator at eye-level, his mouth set into something of a sideways line, lips pressed firmly together. Although he'd remained 'appropriate' with Zak, that didn't mean he had to stay that way and, if he was being honest with himself, he was a bit bored and in need of human interaction, even if it was just through a screen. The tips of Apollo's fingers pressed against the screen as he scrolled through his list of contacts, trying to decide who to send the message to. Obviously not his only favorite Russian, he'd just sent him a message and although he was his newest 'entertainment' he certainly wasn't the only one. It wasn't as if he got around a lot... it was just that he got around a lot. Okay, maybe just a little.
Tapping his foot lightly Apollo finally decided on Cameron, he was a funny guy and he'd enjoyed his company, the two days he'd been in Violet city last year. Now that a target had been chosen, all he needed to do was decide on the context of his text. Something that would no doubt match his sense of humor. His fingers began typing out a message, though he kept the 'send box' empty with the intention of filling it out last.
Apollo was still tip-tapping away when the pokeball containing the belligerent Rufflet shook twice, and out popped the bird. He took the moment to actual take in his surroundings, but almost instantly locked eyes on Sylvia and from there didn't hesitate to take a running leap out her, sending them both sprawling to the ground. "Damnit" Apollo cursed underneath his breath as a caterwaul started up and decided to finish up his text. He was mostly done with it anyway, all he had to do was put in the name of the receiver. It was rather unfortunate that, in his haste, he failed to hit 'Cameron' and instead pressed down on 'Cyrus'; he had so little 'C' contacts.
Of course, he didn't realize this mistake and with a sigh he quickly pressed send, dropping his hand down to try and break up his two pokemon.
"Arceus-damnit, Rufflet! Stop! Sylvia would you-- s**t! Cut it out, both of you!"

By the time Apollo separated the two pokemon he now sported a bleeding hand, courtesy of his newest pokemon's talon, though, at the very least, he had been able to recall it to its pokeball. He muttered a few curses, swallowing the more vulgar ones, as he stuffed the capsule into his pocket and shot an irritated glance to the red, red blood that now pooled from the slash on his palm. Well... this was great.
"We're heading back to the Pokemon Center," he announced through gritted teeth and began walking without a word. Apollo was so quick to retreat, in fact, that he missed the glint of emotion that passed through Sylvia's eyes. Yeah, she was okay, and before the cursing had begun he had given a quick check-up to make sure she was okay. Miraculously she hadn't received a scratch, but now she did feel bad. She hadn't meant for her trainer to get hurt, and now he was upset. She actually hadn't seen him upset before...
"C'mon," she muttered to the other two and stomped after their trainer, ignoring the looks Kahn and Dona gave her before they eventually followed along. All was quiet during the trek back to the center, and still was as Apollo collected a roll of gauze and a bit of antibiotic cream. He dressed the wound, flexed his hand twice, and once satisfied went directly to the PC box to drop the Rufflet off. If Zak wanted the pokemon then fine, he could have it-- with his blessing. If not, then he'd just release it somewhere.
While he was still thinking about pokemon he decided to rehash his active party a bit, and when that was done he turned to look outside absently. With all of that... excitement gone, he had missed the text Cyrus had sent him back, but even if he had he was in no mood to send out a reply.

She needed to sit down for a minute and set up her team for the next fight, and probably grab a snack at some point too. She still didn't get to eat the thing from before... But, that was just another thing on the list, as she entered the Center and sat down at a small table. Out of the corner of his eye Apollo watched as a young girl walked through the automatic doors, and he turned his head to watch as she approached the counter. There wasn't anything about her character that struck out to him, it was more out of the habit of people watching than true interest that had him even glance over. He turned his head back towards the window before his glance turned into a stare and sighed once more, left hand flexing absently. Right... he had been doing something before the whole bird-attack, hadn't he? They were going to go out and train a bit more, Mona especially. Though he was starting to second-guess that original idea. Sylvia was more than strong enough to take on the second gym leader's pokemon, he knew. So maybe he could just squeeze by with her....
He was still formulating his new plan when, from his left hip, a pokeball shuddered and popped open. Apollo furrowed his brow and turned to his left to glance at the pokemon that had released itself, only to stop when he came face-to-face with it. It was the Rotom Zak had traded him, a pokemon he had admittedly never even let out of its pokeball... until now-- and this was of its own volition. "Uh, hey there?" He found himself at a loss for words, not only because of its sudden appearance but also because of the livid expression it sported. It was a sharp contrast to the blank, nearly indifferent, look Zak's Rotom had carried.
"|2000000000......." Rotom swiveled its head--which was basically its entire body--back and forth, its expression only deepening when it failed to locate... something. "|2000000000000000000000000000000......" Apollo couldn't help but to c**k his head to the side and purse his lips, his befuddlement shared by the three pokemon he already had out with him. The sound the little ghost kept making, it was akin to the whirring of a machine, a very angry machine. Suddenly, and without warning, Rotom darted off, zig-zagging this way and that through the Pokecenter blindly. In its apparent haste it even managed to ram itself into the dark-haired girl Apollo had noticed before, giving her body a light zap before phased through her and continued on its war-path.
Apollo was left behind in its wake, utterly confused and concerned. "...What?" was the only word he managed out before he sent Kahn a look. That was all the feline needed before, with a sigh, he padded off to locate the rogue ghost. His trainer, on the meanwhile, went to go check on the girl his pokemon had assaulted. "I'm... so sorry about that," he apologized once he drew close enough. "I don't know what got into my pokemon. Are you alright?"

tabKraven silently continued her examination of her team, reading through the entries of her Meleeon and Gekkit. Interesting reads, but she ultimately had to skim through it to prepare for her gym battle in a timely manner. She glanced back at another trainer in the Center as she heard an odd whir coming from his Rotom, but dismissed it not long after. She heard the whirring coming closer all too late, as a light jolt made her body jump slightly. But what really got a reaction out of her was the feeling of it passing through her, eliciting an incoherent profanity as her arm instinctively shot out. It nearly crashed right into the Rotom's path again, but it changed trajectory before it could give her yet another jolt.
Holding the strap of her violin case with an expression of startled anger, she looked up at the Rotom's trainer as he approached, apologizing as the woman's arm rested on the table. "An electric ghost just phased through my heart and shocked me while doing so. I'm fine, but that's not exactly the kinda thing you want happening at any point." After calming her breathing back to normal levels, she turned to watch as Apollo's Persian went off to catch the specter, pulling her arm back towards her as she turned back to the man again briefly. "Have you had that one for long?"

Apollo offered a small smile before one hand came up to rub the back of his head, his fingers slipping through his hair before the tips pressed down against his scalp. "Must've traded you a higher level one than you could actually get to obey you. Kraven popped her neck as she spoke, feeling rather stiff after the ghost passed through her. Her ears perked up again as she heard Apollo ask about her violin. "Yeah! I play the violin whenever I'm free. Apollo found it hard to continue the conversation, it wasn't as if he had difficult multi-tasking but... it was hard to hold a thought when he watched his pokemon were running about. As agile as Kahn was, he was finding trouble keeping up with a Rotom whose every action was sporadic and random, making it hard to read his movements. Eventually Sylvia, who had taken to watching the two on the sidelines, grew tired of the lack of progress and decided to lend a hand-- or rather a tail. She took a breath before she stepped forward, her tail swinging, and waited for the next time the Rotom zipped passed before she slammed her tail directly into his face, taking him surprise and sending him flying back.
"Maybe," Apollo absently agreed before he handed Sylvia the Rotom's pokeball, stunned, so that she could return him. Well, at least that issue had been solved. With his pokemon now safely tucked away he could now give the girl his full attention, just in time to hear her mention her lack of practice due to neighbors. "Is it that loud?" he found himself asking, eyebrow quirked. In his experience the violin wasn't a rather loud instrument, not unless it was hooked to something, but he had to take into account the different size, the proximity of where she had played, there were quite a few things to consider in her story. "I know this is a bit sudden, but would you mind playing a piece for me? I'm a musician myself and it's always nice to hear others play," he explained before he extended his hand out to the side, accepting the pokeball Sylvia placed into his palm. "We could go outside, so we wouldn't disturb anyone."

tabBetween the trainers, it grew a tad quiet as the two of them found themselves preoccupied with the chase going on. Apollo's Persian dashing this way and that, attempting to catch up to the Rotom that turned on a dime, constantly throwing the feline off his trail. Kraven and her pokemon watched until his Servine finally stepped up to the plate. With a whack of her tail, she sent the ghost-type falling, dazed long enough for Apollo to have her return him. Then the conversation turned to the woman's violin, and how she played it. "Parents said the apartment apparently had thin walls. I dunno how true that was, but either way the neighbors didn't seem to like it. I can do a quick piece, but uh..." She glanced around at the the trainers and the nurse in the Pokemon Center, all of whom were staring at Apollo with annoyance due to his pokemon's rampage. "...We should probably take it outside, I dunno if the Center would be too fond of anymore disruptions." Collecting the few things she'd sat on the table, she rose from her seat, Torch and Hazel both taking a seat on her shoulders, while the woman held her Oshawott against her chest. She motioned for the man to follow, before heading outside the Pokemon Center.

Still, he neither seemed fazed or bothered by the scrutiny given to his person and instead followed the girl outside. Sylvia and Kahn gave their own indifferent responses, the latter actually turning up his nose as he headed out the door.
"Oh," Apollo seemed to realize something as the automatic doors slid open to reveal the outside world, the sun casting the world before them in its bright light. "I never introduced myself, sorry about that." He stepped towards the side before he placed his own case onto the ground, afterwards extending a hand out the ebony-haired girl. "I'm Apollo Corisini, far more superior than the original." He flashed a smile after introducing himself, one that miiiight hint that he was only joking. But no, he wasn't. He was serious, he was so much better than the sun god; in so many ways. He was juuuuuust that egotistical.

tabAs the two exited the Pokemon Center, Kraven paused as Apollo seemed to remember something. Introductions... something that'd been lost amongst the ghost zaps and phasing through people's chests. Still better late then never. "Na, it's fine. I wasn't aware there was a prior Apollo Corisini, I take it that makes you the II?" Kraven chuckled a bit, lightly smacking Apollo's palm with the back of her hand. "I'm Kraven. Just a woman of many talents."
Kraven then turned back again, getting a bit further away from the Center before she could play. Once she figured she was in a good spot, she let her pokemon down off of her, and unslinged the case to her violin. While she brought out the rather beautiful piece of wood, Gungnir began to lean onto her foot, not very content with the possibility of having to walk on his own feet. Kraven pressed the butt of the instrument against her neck, leaning part of her head down onto it to keep it in place. "Hope you're ready for this..." Without any apparent lack in confidence, she lined up the bow, and took a deep breath. Finally, she closed her eyes, and began to play.
Words could not accurately describe the sound her violin emitted. Screeching, wailing, or even howling didn't even come close, as she reached octaves one wouldn't have thought a violin would've been played at. It was almost absurd, how the pokemon at her feet and the passersby some feet away covered their ears in defense against the sound, and Gungnir's expression went from stoned to aflame with mind annoyance, and yet Kraven didn't seem to have any issue with the sound. Her headphones had been placed in a position so they'd only covered one ear, so she should've been able to hear quite clearly the bloody murder her instrument yelled. When it finally came to an end it was a blessing, as Kraven went about as if it was what any musician's sample would've been. "How was that?"

Apollo chuckled good-naturedly, his allusion obviously going over the girl's--whose name he soon discovered was Kraven--head. He didn't think correcting her would do much good, so he let it slide and instead focused on Kraven's introduction, "a woman of many talents, huh?" He chuckled before he rubbed his chin. There were a few flirtatious comments that could be drawn from that particular comment, but given her age appearance... well, he was just going to play nice and keep things platonic. Ah well, perhaps he'd save up and use a few lines on Nurse Joy the next time he went back to the Pokecenter, to get back into her good graces.
He followed Kraven until she found a suitable area to give her performance, and while she got herself ready he used that time to check his phone, now that he was in a better mood. He actually had two messages and decided to look over, and reply to the newest one, which happened to be from Zak and was a response to the Rufflet he'd offered-- with a bit of flirting on the side. Thank Arceus, he never thought he could be this happy giving a pokemon away. As the relief spread throughout his body he quickly typed out a reply and sent it, quickly moving onto his next message right after. The older one was from Cy, and was only... a series of letters and symbols. Now that was odd. Before he could begin to investigate the strange text, however, Kraven announced herself ready and he quickly let his wrist fall to the side, so as not to appear rude, and prepared himself to listen.
It was a shame, but nothing could prepare him for what was, in short, the death of all music. Not a single, audible note was emitted from Kraven's violin, rather each note was simultaneously stabbed and strangled. The usually cheerful man found himself frowning, and deeply at that, as the caterwaul continued, and just barely prevented himself from clapping his hands over his ears like a child. Instead he listened, or was rather forced to listen, and waited as patiently as he could for the noises to stop, though by the time it did his ears were ringing. Apollo blinked a few times and looked about him, and the expression he carried was one of dumbfounded confusion, it was an expression akin to one whose aimless wondering had lead them to a new destination, previously unknown to him.
Apollo, with that same expression on his face, turned to Kraven when she inquired about her playing. "It was..." Now, he had to be truthful, it benefitted no one to sugarcoat his opinion, but he couldn't be too truthful. He didn't want to be too harsh. The man sighed. "Kraven, I'll be honest with you, you need a lot more practice." A lot more. Like, a lot; people weren't supposed to run away when they heard you play.

It wasn't a questioning gaze, really, wasn't exactly expecting to be Beethoven or anything, so she was sort of expecting to not be that great. Although, she seemed to treat it with the same tone deafness someone taking a class would have at the start, not... that. "Well, plenty of time to practice, now that I'm out here. No need to worry about angry neighbors or anything." The ebon-haired girl began to put away her instrument, letting her pokemon climb back on top of her and picking Gungnir back up. "Thanks for listening though, Corneli. I gotta head off though, 'bout time I finally took on the gym here."
