constellation sensationHe was focused on the stars, and she was focused on how passionate he was about them, and now she was starting to focus on something else. Like how warm he was. How their hips pressed together. How these things reminded her that she found him attractive and how it'd been a good time. Her hands tightened on the back of his neck as she swayed with him. "Hey. It's as good as reason as any to get promoted." She replied in earnest, noting she'd been watching his mouth as he spoke, and then looked past him and back up at the sky again. Staring at a reason to get promoted.

"We should make," said Chance importantly. "a shopping list."
He pointed his fork at Claude again, dripping a bit of sauce onto the table inadvertently. Reaching for his napkin, Chance patted at it and added, "Like, just bring a bunch of snacks back, y'know? Maybe we could have a little get together with a bunch of people for fun, have ourselves a little party."

Chance lowered the club without a hint of sheepishness, because he still wasn't actually paying attention to where he was swinging it; but at least it wasn't in the vicinity of anyone's head now.
"I didn't either," he answered her with a smile. "That's why you and I are doing this now, because I didn't have a childhood except for a sucky one, and you had whatever you had, so we're just making up for lost time."
He stared at her for a moment, giving her - not the course - a deliberately slow once over.
"I already have," Chance stage whispered, unable to resist, a smirk on his face; but then he sidestepped towards the golf ball and tapped it with his putter. It rolled a few feet and then stopped just short of the hole, almost like it was mocking him.
"Hm. This is harder than it looks."

"Does pirate even count as a language?" Chance said with amusement, swinging his bag. He gave a small shrug, pushing himself off the wall and beginning to make his way down the street at a leisurely pace.
"I never really had the opportunity," he said.
There was a pause.
"Or the chance to."

He flattened his hand again, trying to make a star.
"I wouldn't say so, no," said Chance thoughtfully. "Maybe in a similar category, but not the same thing."

"That, and just the simple pleasure of being able to say that I'm no longer a pathetic trainee," said Chance with a laugh, still unable to keep still. One hand moved restlessly, sliding up a little beneath Claude's shirt to press his fingers against the warm skin of her waist. It seemed like a gesture he wasn't even sure he was doing, still swaying, his other hand moving around to wrap securely around Claude, hauling her up against him.
"It's fu-ck-ing go-rg-eo-us out he-re," Chance singsonged, planting a messy kiss to her cheek, because he was distracted and had missed her mouth and gotten her face instead. It was almost like he was drunk (and while he'd had a few drinks, he didn't really get drunk until the heavy shots came out), adrenaline from the day and the night pumping through his veins.
"I definitely should come back here at least once a month," he said with a sigh, and then added enthusiastically, "Did you know that the constellation Draco is made up of several double stars and binary stars? And that the philosopher Ptolemy was the one who first listed it?"

"I had yachts and Egyptian cotton." Claude replied, and quirked a brow at him as he gave her a once over, waiting. She gave a soft snort. God. She was seriously contemplating just taking a vow of silence around Chance, because he all too easily turned everything against her.
She watched him hit the ball, and clucked her tongue. She then lowered her golf club from her shoulder. In response to Chance's observation she followed it up with:
"Pretty sure I said that the other night."
The trainee turned then, and went to go retrieve her ball out of the tropical shrubs she had hit it into before. It didn't surprise her that her aim with putt putt was on par with her pistol. Didn't surprise her one bit.

A brow quirked as she listened to Chance and his plans, quietly eating while he spoke. Her eyes followed the sauce drop that landed on the table, and then rolled back up to his face. She then glanced down at her plate as she twirled more spaghetti onto her fork.
"I don't like other people." Claude dead panned.
She then ate the fork full, and swallowed before following it up with. "Seems alright." While not exactly the most group oriented person, if Chance ran in the same circle she seemed to be skirting, it'd probably be fine, and thus she had no reason to argue.

"No." Claude replied honestly, because it'd been a joke. She gave a soft snort at his pun, content to just wander down the street with him. "Well, you have the chance now...so capitalize on it."

"Is there anyone you find unpleasant?"
Claude looked down as something bumped her ankle, and saw a piece of seaweed. She leaned to pick it up, looking it over briefly. She then chucked it at Chance.

constellation sensation"True." Hm. She thought she'd describe this as something of an odd, but interesting, situation for herself. Along for the ride on someone else's high, not able to exactly relate, but still finding something endearing in being a part of it. She also didn't often find herself in actions such as these. She knew, without a doubt, that these were not displays of affection, but being at a loss at what to do was new. Along for the ride it was. Since he pulled her even closer, she just wrapped her arms around his neck, and stayed there. She gave a small nod to the declaration of coming back. "I didn't." She murmured, and because she wasn't familiar, asked: "Which one is Draco?"

"The look he gave her was a flat one, clearly unimpressed by her joke.
Except he really was amused by it, Chance leaning to elbow her side. "Fine, you're right, I should look into that. Got any suggestions as to as to where to start on that?"

"I had cigarettes and spaceship sheets," said Chance idly, waving a hand and almost forgetting that he was holding the golf club in the other. "Yachts aren't nearly as cool as pirate ships, though, so forget yachts and go find yourself a pirate ship to commandeer."
There was a smirk on his face.
"You did indeed," he said. "And it was a good line, so I borrowed it."
He fluttered his fingers at her over his shoulder, tapped the ball again, and this time it was too hard, bouncing off of the opposite wall and sliding slowly back again.

"Neither do I," came Chance's deadpan comment back, but this wasn't true, and they both knew it. He prodded her ankle again. "I do, however, find certain people more interesting than others - such as yourself," he added, grinning at her as he took another bite of his fish.
"I do like good drinks and good company with good food."

"My mother," came the immediate answer, and Chance laughed, lifting his sand-stained hand and settling it on his knee instead, which promptly smeared it across his jeans. "She was certainly a piece of work."
He blew out a breath, ruffling his curly bangs. "I - wow, excuse you."
The seaweed had smacked him in the face. Chance gave her a wide-eyed look of mock horror before scooping up a handful of sand and promptly smearing it deliberately across her own leg, his lips twitching in amusement.
