”Good, good!” Chirped Paradox happily. Yami was more intelligent than she'd been sharing, which made a good deal of sense seeing as she seemed to do most of listening here, and was quite aware of the right thing to say when her turn came.
"I'd love to see this 'telling' you speak of. Baba, I think we have a silent genius in our ranks~" She sung while floating and twirling around the table. Paradox landed on a spot with her finger and the entire area lit up.
"This is the area parallel to Shibusen here, but since there are no landmarks there, we can easily zip through that area of the Netherworld and into the land of mortals from here." She didn't really want to explain the theory behind all this, but she would if she had to.
"When you're ready, I think the school looks lonely, don't you?" Paradox would wait for the two to gather before activating the warp sequence.

__________________________________________________________ Waving her arms Baba was engulfed in a small vortex of darkness. After a few seconds her presence vanished and the darkness faded, leaving the crone standing there. She craned her back and groaned "Changing always brings back the pains of old age..." The crone would follow Paradox as soon as they left. [exit]

A ripple in the wall spat out Paradox in walking stride. It was as if she didn't have to think about it. And there Baba was, looking cocky as ever.
”Hey!” She continued walking up to Baba until she was a foot from the witch.
"Is there a reason I'm doing your dirty work?" Her gaze narrowed as she waited for the witch to respond.

__________________________________________________________ Baba stood in front of, what she had come to known as, the Xuza window. She didn't bother turning around and simply replied. "You haven't missed much, all she's been doing is talking. It's rather boring really..." Baba had made sure to listen carefully for any clue but all she learnt was that this girl was going to grow up to be a loner.

”You broke character out there. What kind of doddering old lady say 'let's split up?'” She looked at the window to see what Baba was talking about. She wanted to know who these new people were, and what they meant to Xuza.
"Your prospect is interesting, but I don't see what the big deal about her is. Could hardly even fight me--well, neither could you, but I digress."
"In any event, she's sure to go running to Xuza again at some point, when that happens we'll know exactly where to find her... Although," she added, just for the hell of it, "there is an easier way I'm sure you already know."
"I don't think I have to spell out what kinds of advantages having a Mina window here would hold for you." She looked at the wall again and moved next to Baba, pulling up chairs.
"Boring, eh? You've got to be kidding me. There's a year's worth of information here, at least."
"From now on let's try to stick to our strengths, hm? I'll watch this, and you go after your own damn pawn." After she finish speaking she shot a deathly glance to Baba. Really, it's not a good thing to incur the wrath of a being of her qualities.

__________________________________________________________ Baba didn't look very impressed by Paradox's attitude. "I don't need her to fight. I just need to harness her souls energy and from the looks of it you've experienced first hand what her Scramble Wavelength can do. So tell me, what set her off?" Baba,like any witch, enjoyed research and this was one project she had been working on for years.

”What didn't set her off?" Paradox flipped her silvery hair and continued to watch the futuretube, her hand coming to meet her face.
"All I said was that she had a fan waiting. I swear, you mortals," she said lumping Baba in with the likes of Mina, "get more fragile every year." She tapped the side of her head.
"I suppose it's a decent ability, to be able to scramble up a wavelength. Too bad it didn't do anything but give me a decent massage." She stopped and turned half way to Baba.
"But you knew that would happen, didn't you? I'm not sure how I like be a guinea pig." Paradox began to giggle, rising til it broke, replaced by a metallic slate face.
"I can't wait for this little experiment of yours to come to its ultimate truth. Just remember all your help along the way." A smile punctuated her sentence. The witch then got up and started floating over to the screen.
"This one here," she said pointing to the redheads. "This one is interesting. She seems to be in close contact with the future. That'll change a lot of things for both of our 'times.'" She did the little air quotes with two illusory hands that came out of nowhere. But back to the subject of Mina.
"She was in the same room as Mina when my camera started attacking up... No thanks to the little superstar. But it makes no difference--well, sure, it does, but it ended up being a good difference for me. You see, her little scramble-thing jolted her powers ahead who knows how far. Her body was scarce able to weather the changeover."
"But! if it was somebody else, I assume they might have been in serious trouble--though I don't necessarily see it on her track record." She laughed a little. "Meanwhile, mine took Noira Blackwing to a stalemate all by her lonesome with some broken ribs... Are you sure you know what you're doing?" She tilted her head and smiled obnoxiously at Baba. The images behind her telling a story about a hypothetical future seemed irrelevant now in the face of what could be now, and yet Paradox wouldn't let them go. Why?

__________________________________________________________ Baba sighed and sat down. "Since she was hard to find I'm guessing her unique wavelength was suppressed. If it keeps up then it could be a problem, not a big problem more of an inconvenience." When Paradox mentioned her own girl Baba smirked. "When I 'lost' her to the DWMA a Meister touched her hand. That brief moment of contact was enough to cause both meister and weapon to go out of sync for a good five minutes. Now imagine if I caused her wavelength to... Explode?" She said knowing full well that Paradox would understand Baba's motives.

Paradox was about to respond to only the issue of Mina, but there was something that interrupted her. Something that made her grimace for just a fraction of a second. Perhaps it wouldn't be noticeable to Baba, but then again it just might be.
”That seems like a good plan, too bad THIS is happening," Paradox said masking her disgust with the Monk's show of power with auspiciousness. "But what if we think even bigger than that? What if we got someone like that to do our bidding?" On the screen there was an image of a man in a blue tunic/robe-thing and the rest of the group looking quite worried and hot. Because of the 3D nature scope of Xuza's camera wings, the two would enjoy their pick of any view within a reasonable radius. Paradox changed the screen to focus on a mountain hanging in mid air.
"This monk can levitate an entire mountain, and it doesn't exactly look like he's straining himself. What's even more impressive is the fact he had to teleport that chunk of planet away from where ever it was...." She pulled up a split screen to show both the mountain, which would fall and stop at the Monk's command, and a view of the group and whatever went on with them. "What about that?"

__________________________________________________________ Baba stroked her chin in thought. "Yes it is indeed impressive. However your pet is currently in the future so we can't grab him from there and if we were to track him down and collect him in the present it would alter the future. Just as your name sake would suggest, a paradox." However tempting a being of that power was their options were limited.

”Would it?” Asked Paradox with a grin. "You're skipping back to page one now. There's no doubt whatever we do or think or see will change the future, therefor we aren't really looking at the future at all." She floated around and produced a model of the timeline out of the air itself, making a series of curvy lines that flowed and intersected seemingly as they pleased.
"If we simply watch this future and don't act on it, forget it even exists, then we would likely cause very little change. But, if were to find what events change bring about which events, then we could begin to see some real change--after we quit watching it, of course."
"Now, all we have to do is pick and choose what we want to change. Really changing time is not so difficult..."
"You should know the movers are already in place for this outcome to happen. There will be changes, but I will make sure to steer this in our favor. Meanwhile, there seems to be little evidence of your Mina here. But, then again, we don't know how things got so scrambled up."

__________________________________________________________ Baba shrugged, time travel was a rather complicated science at the best of times and it was near impossible to alter a future. By changing the future you would remove the reason you changed it and therefore wouldn't change it, ending up in a constant loop. "What can I say I hate time travel."

”Hm. I suppose it is a little boring.” Paradox had her thumbnail in her teeth at this point, eyes off somewhere in infinity. "In my time this was all people talked about. My, things have gotten complicated." For a moment Paradox actually looked human, or at least sentimental if those two words aren't synonymous. The screen played in fast forward, and in the time it took for these few lines the two time travelers had gone through the streets and into the drafty halls of Shibusen.
"What's this!" Said Paradox with clasped hands. The screen played a conversation of Atlas and everyone else in the room with Xuza. "Do you think he'll kill them all?" Paradox asked without turning from the wall. "If he did, that'd certainly save us a lot of work." She was being dumb on purpose of course.
"But then, that wouldn't leave any room for us, would it? What should we do about this?"

After a while of this doomsday talk, Paradox saw her exit.
”Well, this has been fun, but I think it's time for us to get this show started, don't you?" Paradox produced a set of doors on the wall opposite them.
"Those will lead you almost anywhere you want to go. Just don't blame me if you get lost," She said flippantly before going into her own door/portal. "Ciao!"
