"Oh my god I would never actually," Chel insisted. "I don't even think Riptide deserves that s**t." More emphatically, she continued, "I'm even worried about it, to be honest."
She waved her hand and said, "A-Anyways, not meddlin'... More like ... messin'." Her shark grin came back as always. "You ever see Noemi's face when you asked her if she's banged Milo yet? Makes keepin' 'em close worth it just to see that s**t." Chel was not an innocent after all.
Much like Jack and Finn, she too was an a*****e. Just a different spin.

"Yes, I have. Not in so many words, but I prodded her about it on our blind date." A hint of satisfaction crept into his voice, even though his expression was still intent on that brooding. "Innocent lil' s**t makes me wanna vomit." She wasn't anything like her cousin; both of them were saccharine sacks of crap, but at least he could handle Lina's brand.
Jack glanced at her. "What exactly are you worried about? I mean anyone involved with Finn is worrying already, but they're grown a** men."

"S'just a feeling ..." Chel insisted. "It's probably nothing I just ..."
How to put this... "Lately I just ... I gotta feeling Finn's in a bad place? Or maybe not a bad place, but like he's restless?" She shook her head, shrugging because she knew she had nothing to back up her claims with. "Nothing concrete or anything for science-logic-man-" That was Jack. "-To worry about."
She knocked Jack's side and said, "Don't act like you ain't never worried 'bout Finn neither."

The scoffing commenced. "Only thing I'm worried about as far as Finn and Crowell are concerned are their bite wound and hallucinogen exposure, respectively," Jack replied as a matter of factly. "I'm not sure where exactly you're getting these vibes from, but like I said: if it's internal affairs, they can handle it. You have this awful habit of worrying excessively over people."

Chel's nose scrunched up something terrible. "Well someone around here's gotta! You and Finn always insistin' you don't care about nothin'- someone's gotta make up for the a*****e suck void."
It was just science really.
"So have you figured out my food yet?"

"Hey, don't put words in my mouth. I never said I don't care about anything." His face wrinkled enough that he had to fix his glasses. "I care about a few select things, thanks. Namely Barbara and myself. So you can take back whatever you allotted for me and focus it back on yourself." She was making lots of progress from the broken girl who had asked him to kill her after all.
a grumpy Jack ventured. "You were going on about it at the bar."

"Yeah, but that's still less than the average person so I gotta make up for it," she said with a cheeky grin. "Plus someone's gotta make sure y'all don't kill each other in the process too." Why Chel had been given this role was a mystery.
Pancakes was close, but Chel didn't feel like giving it to him. "Did I? ********, I was so drunk I don't remember ********' anything from that night. Literally just a black ********' hole. What did I even do?" Color drained from her face slightly. "I didn't throw up did I? That s**t's the worst- nobody likes the guy that throws up at a party."

"Too late. Been there, done that." He kept his gaze straight ahead.
"If you threw up, you didn't at the bar before I left. Way to stay classy, though." A snort. "You called me a fatass."

She raised an eyebrow at his comment, unsure if he meant he'd killed someone (possibly he was referring to her?) or if he was talking about throwing up in a bar. She decided regardless of which option it was, it wasn't the kind of conversation to be having in earshot of hunters who could abuse the information.
"I ain't ever claimed to be classy." She was acutely aware she was not someone to be proud of. "Why the ******** did I call you that?" she asked with a laugh. Of all the insults she could've used, fatass was certainly a stupid one. "What else happened?"
The lighthouse was coming in to view, but Chel didn't mention it. "You wanna get dinner later after my shifts?"

"Because that's what I called the sorry b*****d you picked up," he replied. "The one you ditched me for. Real catch, by the way. He looked like he was going to piss himself when I showed up." Jack answered her question with one of his own. "So you can actually eat a full meal now? Because I'm not cooking anything until I know you'd actually finish it, even if it tastes like s**t." None of that eat the chips nonsense from the last time she was over.

"I picked someone up...?" Chel mused, equal parts confused and impressed with herself. "Oh Dawson!" She came to life, nodding and smiling. "He was such a sweet pea. Don't really remember much after talkin' at the bar with 'im." She scratched her chin, thinking back to that night. "But hey- didn't ditch yer a**. Can't have ditched you if I was never with you." At least she didn't think she did. Maybe she did. She was pleased to hear he wasn't outright denying her request to dine like last time. "You insultin' my iron stomach?" she asked, tone rising. "I couldn't have gotten drunk off my a** if my stomach couldn't take it." She patted his hand and added, "'Sides, I'll finish anything you make no matter what."

"Uh huh." He wasn't impressed either way. "Next time, how about you come say happy birthday to your good friend before flirting with a pathetic looking stranger," Jack groused as they drew nearer to the lighthouse. Almost as if in recoil, he pocketed his hands. "Seriously, the sight of you grinding on him almost made me lose my booze."

"Hey now. Ya can't be jealous when you hit it and quit it~" Chel cooed. "And I did say happy birthday." It was somewhat satisfying to see it had bothered Jack to remember it. Even if it was just, to him, from a friend's perspective. "Ya know you're welcome to grind any time," she gave with a laugh. She nudged his arm anyways. "Now say you'll have dinner with me so I can stop askin'."

Jack scowled and said, "I'm not jealous and I don't grind, or dance for that matter." More like he didn't know how to, no matter how many people he watched. His movements were always too stiff, and he often grew self-conscious in a crowd since it was easy to pick him out by his height alone; as much as he denied it, even the opinions of strangers mattered enough not to make an idiot of himself. "Texting's not the same," he added stubbornly. "Just like getting a gift from a third party isn't the same. Anyway, if I go to dinner, maybe I'll sit with you."

"Ooooh yer totally jealous," Chel hollered. It made her feel a little bit better. "Jealous he might give me a ring first!" She didn't question his inability to dance because but was pretty obvious why. If Chel loved something, Jack was bound to hate it. "Honestly I was afraid Hanna would show uo. S'why I took shifts and got drunk. Didn't want to put myself out like that." She shrugged- Chel was honest. She kicked his shin and said, "None of that. Yer comin' or I'm eatin' in my room." medigel watching big hero six bbl!
