Let me add that to my list. Yeah I hate it when I time out and lose my post. How about having the form auto-save every 15-30 seconds on top of having an explicit save button. Though, I'm not sure when the draft would be removed from storage, because if the user never submits the post or they go to another thread... conflict of drafts? Unless you allow allow one draft per-thread? neutral I'll implement it similar to GMail. Drafts are per thread, but on Gaia it'll probably be temporary, until we actually build a page that can access all drafts. Lanzer Evil Cleavage FeaturesCan we have a setting in our settings that automatically disabled all of the like/dislike voting things for all of your threads? I know there is an option to disable it when you make the thread, but you don't always remember to check it, or when you do, you preview the post and forget to re-check it. Hmm, I can make it so that the preference will stick. Shouldn't be hard to do. I'll add to the to-do list. I do plan on making forum options stick, so that things such as post style and voting preferences will be saved. July 5th, 2017: Lanzer StarIore FeaturesI don't know if it's possible to do or if a button already exists and I am just not seeing it, but could Gaia add a button to code for spoiler boxes to the post a reply page, post a journal entry page, and all other features that allow for BBcode? It's sometimes a royal pain to code for spoilers by hand, especially when you are using a mobile device without access to a keyboard. I'm adding more buttons for the new currency feature, I'll add the spoiler button while I'm at it. Lanzer xKamirei Featuresso..the "loading..." in forums is really troublesome for me. it almost never loads or takes a while, so i'm constantly having to refresh or have to manually edit the url to get where i want within threads. idk if i'm the only one..is there gonna be an update or anything for that? i don't remember it being a thing before. edit: i use chrome if it matters I rarely heard of anyone having trouble with the page loading javascript when using Chrome. I would suggest disabling all your extensions and see if that might help with the problem.

Like they used to expand and you could drag them out further or longer. Like in PM's here. There is an overlay so you can see where the original box sits vs you being able to drag it out. But in threads, you can only drag it down. Like here. Any chance you'd be able to make it so the text box in threads can be dragged out as well as down? As someone who spends her time making lots of thread layouts, this was very useful when I could do it. - Thanks in advance Hmm that is a tricky one as we have the styling options on the right. Probably need to do some CSS magic to make it work right. Might take some time to implement unless we get more requests to raise the demand for this feature.

Basically it's a thread treated like a diary where users post what they feel, music they like, funny pictures. Kind of like a diary, but public. Do you think there could be a subforum for these? Some people get annoyed seeing them. Nope. Chatterbox is specifically for any threads that don't violate the ToS, so we're not gonna implement a subforum to start regulating Chatterbox threads. Its been that way for weeks/months at least. can we get it fixed? Sorry the error was a little more involved than I thought, so I wasn't able to fix it just yet. Half the site feedback forum, for example, is unending stickies and a lot of them are either out of date, no longer relevant, or just overall taking up space when they can be combined to allow for a cleaner front page. There's barely any discussion I believe the idea for the forum is that it would essentially be a Chatterbox but for those who qualified for it, we can definitely look into changing the rules of the forum, but it would then start imposing restrictions on what you can post.

Currently they aren't allowed in the mass majority of cases and we've got a word filter that hits on some of them. I mean is there an algorithm that would prevent users from hitting submit on posts that have slurs in them. I know it's not feasible to stop every form of human and decency violation on here but it would show that gaia cares about its minorities Hmm... I don't know if I necessarily like the idea of flat out stopping people from submitting posts, not necessarily because the slurs shouldn't be used, but because that would be an incredible powerful tool that I personally would want to see reserved for something massively detrimental to the site and community (nor do I actually know any sites that actually stops people in such a way). That being said, I took a look at how we are filtering out the words with our word filter and believe that we could make some improvements there to make it a little more restrictive. For example, some slurs have a different filter level setting than others (this filter list was developed in probably early 2008, so I don't think anyone who created it is still here to speak to why this is), some words/slurs are censored completely (such as "********" will censor to "****" ) whereas others are semi-censored (such as "p***s" which will censor to "p****" ). May we have more information about the forum getting reformatted? It's mainly a thing for mobile phones and tablets. It allows everything to load faster and formatted well for smaller screens. Will the forums also be getting that feature? It would be helpful since people have different screen resolutions. I was under the impression that people wanted variable screen width for the forum. If not we can certainly change the format. (multiple users replied to this confirming that they do NOT want fixed-width forums.)

Wonder when we removed the check by accident.

We can certainly work on a shared ownership feature for forum threads. I should be able to work on it next month.
