Kiyelt rolled his eyes. "Mella if you will excuse my rudeness for a moment?' He bowed his head to her and slowly stepped up to Yelena. "I was needed to defend my country, if I did not have to meet a male and female of all the races I could stay at home for longer lengths of time. And if I could have packed you off with me I would have. But when I went to leave I didn't see you that day. I got Norcrest from a friend. He was originally a big ol' grouch but is now warming up to me." Kiyelt shooed the sailscale out and he landed on a post and displayed his wings to Yelena. Cocky little lizard. Kiyelt brushed one of Yelena's dredlocks back smiling, then he leaned down and kissed her. "I missed you, and" he bent down and pulled a feather out of a hidden place on his boot. "I still have this." He showed her the feather she had given him. "And the other half of my necklace." He braced himself for the beating from the goat he knew would come but Norcrest landed on his front and hissed at the Roati. "Huh...protection is knew." He glanced at Mella. "I apologize for my rudeness but I'm not sorry, are you here to draw the beast? Maybe we all should. I haven't seen one before has anyone else on their travels?" Kiyelt: Beast Pen Post: 4

Mella: Post ½ Location:Beast area. Mella had no idea that anyone could possibly think that the world or those in it couldn’t be real. It was a strange thought. She rolled her eyes at Kiyelt. His words to his crush were a bit dramatic. “ Oh trust me I think that Kiyelt, apparently, has a flare for the dramatic, but I know everything he says is from the heart so you can trust how he describes you is just how he sees you.” She glanced between the two trying to figure out how that relationship worked when she didn’t think Kiyelt was real. “Have you considered testing to see if he is real?” A playful thought crossed her mind. “If you poke his cheek each time you see him and he’s there then you know he is real. Of course you could do the same test by kissing his cheek to see if he’s warm and living if you wanted.” Mella then turned her attention to a little problem that was forming in her sash. As Telwren wriggled around to try and hiss at the other sailscale Kiyelt had she finally had to pull him out of her sash and hold him up. “What by all the rocks in Sauti has gotten into you?” She glanced back and forth between the two sailscales and then to Kiyelt for help. “Sorry Telwren isn’t normally this bad.. I really don’t know why he’s acting like this. And no, well yes in part I was going to draw the beast but I wanted to see if I could help take care of the animals to free up others who could fight or be useful in the healer’s tents…”

Yelena frowned not sure what he was going to do or be rude about. She just wasn't sure about anything. She watched him when he stepped up over to her. Was he going to do something to her? She frowned and pouted as he spoke. "You could have left me a note or something. Or had your parents let me know. All of a sudden you were just gone as if you had never been there. And why would you have wanted to pack me off with you?" Her eyes dropped onto the sail scale and she cooed at him. She looked at him as he displayed his wings. "Oh aren't you such a handsome sail scale there. And how did you end up with Kiyelt? Hmmm handsome Norcrest? Such an amazing handsome guy you are."Her attention snapped back to Kiyelt as he touched her hair. He had done that before. "You always touch my hair. Why?" She was so shocked by the kiss she didn't even react. Didn't shove him away or pull him closer. It had startled her so much. She flushed as he said he had missed her. She had missed him too. Her eyes widened even more as she caught sight of the feather he pulled out of the hidden place in his boot. "You actually kept that? You didn't throw it away?" She wasn't surprised he kept his necklace it was his after all. She looked at Mella as the lady spoke. She just didn't know. Maybe the lady was right. "I just I don't know. Maybe you're right but I don't know." She got a wicked light in her eyes as Mella said that. "True I do need to prove he is real. but now how to do that. I know two things that could work. I'll try one first then the other."She looked back at Kiyelt and stepped closer. She reached her hand down to stroke Norcrest's head she stilled held onto Iniu. Aril ran around them and headbutted Kiyelt's leg lightly. Icewalker stepped forward and regarded the ice male deciding if he should smash the guy or not. Yelena then looked at Kiyelt and gave him the full power of his pout. Being so close to him she pouted up at him. And after a little while of pouting at him she reached her hands out to tickle him. She remembered where his ticklish spots were. And then she kissed both his cheeks just as Mella had suggested. She walked over to Mella then. "Could you give me some pointers on how to draw? I would like to get better at it if you would be willing to teach me or just give me some tips. It would mean a lot to me." She looked at the sail scale the lady had. "Your sail scale looks so good too."Yelena: Location: Beast pen, Post: 4

Eira - Dancer Location: With Viveka and her troupe Post: 2 Eira gave a smile as she gave Viveka a squeeze before releasing the pretty boy from her hold, "As good as anyone can be under such circumstances, how about you? Have you been well my pretty Vive?" She said, giving a little chuckle as she used the nickname that she had given to him. It suited him, calling him 'Pretty Vive' so there was no reason to call him anything else if her mind, "Well I hope?" Stepping back she gave him a once over, making sure that he was in fact whole and healthy at the moment. It would be a waste for one such as him to get roughed up in this war. Of course as she studied him she noticed his arm, something that made her lift an eyebrow, "What happened? Are you alright? Do I need to set Gyuri on someone?" The idea that anyone would be mean to the slender Viveka was something that obviously didn't sit well with her. Before she was able to threaten any futher bloodshed upon an unknown person two more members of her troupe seemed to catch up, something that had her happily clapping her hands together, "Ah! Borra, Sinny, good of the two of you to join us." She said, pleased that they had caught up. She'd noticed that Borra, the more naive but sweet member of the group, had gotten himself sidetracked. She wasn't worried though since Sinny was with him and the woman was quite dangerous and liable to blast anyone that angered her away with her magic. No reason to worry about her safety though she was glad that the two were back. Given what was going on she would rather they stay together as a group... though to do that she would really need to figure out where Makani had gotten off to. "Caught up, hm? That's alright. You were able to rejoin the group so that is what matters most." She told Borra, watching him as he got shoved toward Gyuri, and said, "Try to stick close to Gyuri from now on, just in case anything dangerous pops up. That way he can beat the danger into submission and keep you safe." She told Borra, ruffling his hair before motioning to Viveka, "Sinny, Borra, this is Viveka, he's someone I am trying to get to join our troupe along with his mate." She explained, then smiled, "His mate is a Bard and Vive here... well, he's just pretty and I rather thing he would do well drawing people to our inn with his pretty face alone. I mean just look, he's almost as beautiful as I am!" Eira's arrogance knew no bounds even in the most trying of times it would appear. Gyuri - Guard Location: With Viveka and the troupe Post: 2 Gyuri had merely smiled and shrugged when Viveka asked how he was doing, feeling it to be a rather difficult question. He supposed it was as Eira said, doing as well as one could at the moment. He looked around a moment, taking in those around them, and found himself thinking that he would much rather the troupe be somewhere safe... but it was difficult to make Eira do anything. She could be as stubborn and hard to move as a Mammu... not that he would say that out loud as he was sure it would get him a dark look from the woman who might take it as an insult. His gaze and attention seemedto be instantly stolen away from everything else as Borra arrived with his sister, his heart skipping a beat at the sight of the musician. Ah, he was back he thought to himself happily, glad that he was. He didn't like the times when they were separated because it meant that he couldn't keep him safe. Sure, Sin'qua was capabale enough with that magic of hers but he liked to be there as well. So long as he didn't appear as though he were smothering Borra, annoying him wasn't what Gyuri wanted. Lifting a large hand he patted Borra on the shoulder, giving him a smile, "Welcome back." He murmured, not one for talking but when it came Borra he was more open to doing more then normal amount for him. He wanted to wrap his arm around him, to pull him closer to hug him, but he'd behave. Besides, Borra was as cute and he was oblivious so he didn't exactly understand what he was feeling, not something he'd drop on him at the moment. Looking at Eira he smiled and nodded when he was told to look after Borra, "Can do." He didn't mind looking after him and keeping him safe. He'd do it without being ordered to but would most certainly do so if Eira said to. He was the leader of the troupe after all, her word was law in most cases.

Nera Location: Camp Outskirts Company: Lucijah / Unnamed Leaf Captor Post: 3
For a long moment the man with sandy colored skin seemed to vacillate between a flickering smirk and something akin to a scowl, discoloration already began to paint a ruddy purple mark with four angry colored lumps edging along the curve of his sturdy jaw. Lifting his hand to his face the Leaf Earthling settled on a watery expression of displeasure, the she-brute in front of him prattled on and on about the damaged sandling belonging to her and how he had stolen her. It was true that he had found the useless whelp hidden high in the skyline of the jungle tucked away in a makeshift nest sleeping like she had no cares in the world; had she really already been captured? Soothing out the wrinkle of his brow the young man allowed for his chest to deflate ever so slightly. “She isn’t worth the trouble. You can take your little trophy, but she isn’t someone that will help us win this war, how could anyone that cried for their mommy so much be someone with any power whatsoever.” Turning on his heels the man stalked away towards the beast pens leaving the women to themselves.
Ashen skin flushed with pinpricks of pink pushed into the flat of Lucijah’s arm and nuzzled the firm flesh she found there before retracting and staring up into the shimmering pools of her twilight lover’s cool hues. “I missed you . . . water please, I am so thirsty.” Pulling her cracked bottom lip between her teeth the prentice dropped her gaze towards her feet and pushed her sandal clad toes into the silt mixture of sand and soil. “Darkling-mine, I need to rest. The soles of my feet--- I--- please--- just carry me for a little while. Please. Don’t ask questions, just do as I ask.” The girlish pitch that Nera used to speak cracked somewhere in the back of her throat and made her already small voice come out timid and wavering as if sobs trailed behind each shortly executed sentence that tumbled from her and fell softly onto the air.

Kennet, post three. (With Xilarn, Iroia, Makani, and Ruelash) (I'm sick as a dog, too lazy for proper formatting ugggh)
Kennet, ignoring Xil's initial warnings, and now drenched in water, snarled at Iroia as she approached.
"You'd better keep your distance, woman!" He snapped, his attention darting to Ruelash right after. The ice man had been quick to make his mark on Xilarn, as well as quick to shout. The hybrid shot forward with his spear aimed for his chest, where he made a quick slash.
"I'm Kennet, you haggard piece of trash!" He spat, shuffling backwards to shield Xilarn. "And if you want to get anywhere NEAR Xilarn, you're going to need to go through ME." He gave another glare to Iroia. "You, too, freckles."

Mella: Post 2/2 Location:Beast area. Mella had to let Telwren go which lead to the male flapping his wings and launching himself into a tussle with the sailscale Kiyelt had. Horrified she tried to grab him back but the little wriggling monster was to fast for her. The pair of sailscales went off rolling into the dirt. She glanced at Yelena. “Ah yes. I would be happy to help you and share a few things.” She looked to Kiyelt for help with the sailscales he knew the creatures far better than she did. She just hoped the pair of leather winged little sillies didn’t get stepped on by that large icewalker or the little goat. A noise from the beast’s pen made her glance at the creature that was currently looking in their direction as the sailscales hisses and snapped at one another. It was clear that Kiyelt’s sailscare was a fiercer fighter than Telwren and definitely winning but it didn’t seem like Telwren was going to give up. Panicked and not wanting to end up back at the healers tent again the wind earthling had a thought and slid her bag off holding it over the dueling beasts just let it drop on them. Horrified and irate squeak and hisses greeted her but the pair had crawled out from under the bag on different sides giving Mella a chance to scoop up Telwren and hold him firmly in place so he wouldn’t attack the other sailscale again. She had to take a few steps back to keep clear of Kiyelt’s very upset creature. “Sorry but could someone hand me my bag?” She smiled tightly and made sure the hold on her wriggling little monster was secure. “I seem to have my hands a bit full at the moment.” She really wasn’t sure how Kiyelt was going to react judging from the stunned expression on his face, but thankfully he pulled himself together quite quickly.

Makani - Mage Location: Trying to keep heads from rolling? Post: 3(I think?) Truth be told Makani was actually a bit on the impressed side, the fact that the water hadn't even daunted the lot of them for even a moment. So cooling the group off wasn't working at all, so maybe he should get more serious about his attempts to stop them from tearing each other apart? Especially now that the scent of blood was now in the air meaning that someone amongst them had been injured. It was bad enough as an argument but it was just getting more and more dangerous. Let's see... he went through the list of magics that he had learn to this point, weighing his different options against one another. He could attempt to drop some ice on them to really cool them off, maybe? He didn't want all the angry people turning his way though. What about if he were to use earth magic to try to catch their feet? What if they could still flail at each other though? Hm... wind to blow them away from each other? That might only work until the spell ended though... Ah! He knew what might work. Walking forward he set to gathering some more power to himself, hoping that maybe this one would work. It wasn't exactly a spell that he'd used often but maybe it would work? The problem being that he had no idea how long it might work for. Long enough to get them to give up? Unlikely but maybe it would give one side or the other time enough to retreat...? Given the words thrown back and forth though he doubted either side would go for that idea which worried him. How did one play the part of the mediator with such strong personalities? It was like dealing with a very miniature version of the battle with Oba, huh? Lots of strong, stubborn people picking fights and not backing down. It was quite intimidating for someone like him but he couldn't just walk away and let them beat each other blood. Once he was in position he set to working casting his next spell, this time using 'Wall Magic' to call up an invisible wall of energy between the two pairs. He could only hope that it worked. It wasn't something that he'd used before other then in practice, meaning that someone as strong as the man with the bestial aura might be able to tear through it... he just hoped it wasn't something he could do in a laughably easy way or else Makani was going to run out of ideas. Once the wall was up he asked of them, "Maybe we should save our energy for the upcoming battle? "

UQUIN Post 2 xxxxHealing Tents
Uquin looked up as one of the Tendaji elders emerged from the tent. From this distance, he couldn't hear what she said - but from murmurs of those spreading her announcement, he wasn't impressed. Standing back up, he turned his gaze to Pahana, then back down to the girls. At times he wished that they had remained in Yera - but with everyone here, and the retreat from Neued still on his mind, the risk of having to scatter and flee into the forests was too great. He had made it home, the last time... but if they had to retreat this time, and his family was back in Yera, then they could be captured by the advancing army or, if they fled as well, they might not be able to find one another. Not in a world where Oba won.
The risk and fear was too great to NOT have them all here - but the risk of capture, of becoming overrun by the Obans was great as well. "Maybe... it would be best to stay in the Sleeping Tents." He mused, a hand reaching to settle against Ujana's shoulder in quiet worry. PADMA Post 2 xxxxHealing Tents
What?? No! Were they going to send her and Ujana to wait somewhere? Stamping her foot, Padma took a step away from her parents and crossed her arms petulantly. "I'm not going to the sleeping tents - I'm not sleepy!! And... and I want to help you, papa!!" She turned her eyes to Pahana, "Mama, tell Papa we aren't going!"

[ supply tents ]"Hm. I guess so," Kauff replied, looking back toward the leaders' tent. He took a drink from the waterskin as well before returning it to where he'd found it. "Want to get closer? There might be someone there who can take your sword. If not, I'll use it when I fight." It was a bold statement, considering he didn't think he'd be allowed to take up arms at all. As much as he hoped his suspicions weren't correct, he couldn't believe they would allow someone without training to flail around and potentially get captured just because he felt like it.
"Come on."

Ruelash – Ice Knight Around the Camp: Frustrated (Not counted towards post count)Ruelash smirked at the alkidike hybrid. He looked very familiar – strikingly so – but Ruelash didn't care about that. “Oh ya?” So. This was 'Kennet'. And he had asked the Oban over... And he was quick with a spear. Pain and warmth spread – slowly – along his chest, and Ruelash would have kicked himself for neglecting to dodge. Except that just made things more interesting. This one had fight, and wanted Ruelash to go through him to do it? The wild ice tribesman laughed, seemingly unphased by the pain, and picked up his other blade. “Don' mind if I do!” he said, pouncing for Kennet, thoroughly intending to cut him to pieces. BonkRuelash blinked, confused, as he ran into a solid, invisible wall where there had been no wall before. ”Wha?” But he had a good idea of where that had come from at this point. He turned, snarling, towards the mage. ”You...!” he growled, ”Chi's breath, what do you think you're doing, you little...”He began to approach the mage threateningly, uncertainly. His eyes. Why are his eyes closed?”Open yer frostin' eyes.” he growled at the mage, ”That's an Oban an' a traitor!”

X I L A R N x A T T L E E Location: Camp Outskirts (with Kennet, Ruelash, Iroia, and maybe Makani) Posts: 4 (not counting this one) Xil groaned in annoyance, rolling his eyes at Kennet's antics. Here he'd assumed one of them would be rational. How ridiculous of him to assume it'd be his much more easy-going companion. That'd make too much sense. "You could at least try to control yourself," he grumbled pointedly at Kennet. "I've come to expect better of you." His relaxed nature seemed to deteriorate in front of other savages, though... Must be some type of... synergy thing. Or was it something else, entirely?
Whatever the reason, Xil grabbed the hybrid's shoulder and tugged him back. "The least you could do is not behave like an animal." Literally the only one that had any sense here seemed to be... that mage kid... The Oban's gaze shifted over to him speculatively, curiously, a bit suspiciously. Why was he so interested in helping? Xil stared at him, eyes scraping over the mage with a tiny frown. Was he... was he blind? That would explain it.
He clearly had virtually no idea what was happening. Either way, "Well, thank you, I think," he murmured uncertainly. His fingers slipped down Kennet's shoulder to grab his wrist. "We should go."

Hijil – Shifter Guard Around the Camp: Feeding the kinfa”Mmm. Very likely.” said Hijil, ”And there would be a risk of them hurting themselves in the process...” After all, struggling against bindings could cause injury. Hijil did not want that for the young birds. ”We might want to leave them with someone, not on their own...” The rest of the camp was a ways away – they had been patrolling when feeding time had occurred – and Hijil looked over the encampment amidst the trees. ”Someone who won't be fighting.” Of course.Ikkio – Shifter/Ice Prentice Around the Beast: With KelinaIkkio couldn't help but overhear Aysun and smiled. He was such a strange young man – somewhat insane, she thought. She looked over to see just what the boy was up to, only to see another boy much like him nearby. Well... she thought, intrigued, That must be his twin. she looked him over. Reading a book, I see. Her fingers tapped on her own practice book, thoughtfully, before she gave the twins a little wave.

Biroki – Shifter Sage Sleeping Tents to Supply tents: Making Tea
”Just stay put, all right?” Biroki said, going out to get supplies for tea. He paused as Antiope made her speech.
Prisoners... Like Rastian's wife, like so many other people's loved ones. Prisoners were not good, but at least that meant the people were likely to be alive. It struck him as odd, however, that Antiope seemed to have nothing else for them... Just extremely unreassuring statements of 'waiting' and 'patience'. Biroki shook his head as he set up a kettle to heat. This was a tricky time. They needed more than that at this time, they needed hope.
We're going up against an army. he thought to himself, sorting through the herbs, We need hope, and we need a plan, and we need one now.
He liked Antiope. She was a nice person, very friendly and respected, but also... young. It was strange to think of her as 'young'. But this war was revealing her for the inexperienced – if powerful – child that she was, and that scared Biroki. That scared him an awful lot.
He could, he thought, try to stand up to the plate and assist her, but he had a mission to do just now, one that involved a certain upset and drunk hybrid healer.
Still...
As the water for the tea warmed, and the herbs waited to be steeped, Biroki walked outside briefly to give Antiope a little wave and what he hoped was a supportive smile.

Bhima - post 4
"Oh?" the Alkidike asked. From the look on Hijil's face, she felt like the woman had someone in mind. Bhima herself was not so sure she would trust a new traveling companion to a stranger. Kinfa could grow large and be helpful in battle, plus she had grown a bit attached to the ball of green feathers that now waddled around her heart.
The only sister she knew who did not seem likely to fight had been taken, so she was out of the question, and also yet another reason to heave all of one's weight into battle. Then she paused.
"My mother may not be fighting..."
