"Forests belong to the plants," she said in a low voice. While you are beautiful, and green, and very tall- you are not any sort of vegetation, more's the pity." Her voice was calm, matter-of-fact, as though she were discussing what she had eaten for breakfast. Hollandaise tossed one last crown before turning to stare up at Des, one hip propped on the side of the booth.
"I am not a student - merely a guest. There are not enough Green and growing things here." She paused, eyes peering up into Des' face. "Did you ...follow me?'

Deszeld wasn't sure how she felt about the commentary regarding forests, but she wasn't going to do anything rash, like tell Hollandaise she was completely wrong and that she should rethink her stance on the matter. She wasn't even entirely sure that Holly was being rude, so placid and calm was her voice. In fact, Des was quite certain that Hollandaise was complimenting her.
Deszeld's webbed crest twitched.
"Yes, I am beautiful, and green, and very tall and not made of plants," Deszeld agreed very politely. "And of course I followed you. You have plants on you, and so I like you because of it."
The green threw her next flower crown sloppily, and, again, did not stop to see where it landed.

Hollandaise sighed, It was a long, windy sigh. Des was very, very self-assured, wasn't she? Still, the warder liked the look of her at least. She smoothed down a leaf.
"Are you wanting to eat me, then, drauhaus? You followed me to try and much on my hair like the boil?" One brow rose as she spoke. Turning quickly, she tossed another crown. "Oh! You've won, Des!"

Deszeld immediately snatched up a flower crown, one with a myriad of colors.
"I am a green, Hollandaise. I do not eat plants. Gnomes, yes. Sprites, yes. But I do not eat plants. Since leaving the forest, my meals have been composed of whatever is served at school. No gnomes, no sprites. Lots of eye scream."
She lifted the crown and settled it atop Holly's head. Her long, forked tongue flickered briefly in a rare show of approval.
"I will give this to you."

"Too much eye scream is not good for you," she said softly, relaxing a fraction. The dragon ghoul had not moved to pull at the leaves in her hair, and Hollandaise was glad. Although her mane was becoming quite bushy, she could only stand a few people to prune it. Deszelda'as crown was settled ont top of her head and Hollandaise's mouth rounded into a 'o'. Her hands reached up, fingers danced nervously over it, but she could not bear to removed it. A forked tongue.... dragon, lizard. A pale blush suffused her cheeks.
"Ah! I.. I must win something for you as well." Grasping at the first flower crown her hand fell on, she turned and tossed it, watching it curve lazily through the air. She missed, as she had before. Hollandaise made a sad sound and cocked her head over her shoulder to look at Des. "You stand quite closely, you know." She hoped the dragon would get the hint and move away, just a bit. Some such c;lose proximity was a bit unsettling. It made her skin itch.

Efflo had been keen to only do one booth, but he'd been informed that winning a raffle ticket was not an item and that if he wanted to partake in Gabby's booth, he was going to have to win something more substantial. The flower crown toss stood out, looking both delicious and beautiful, and so he decided to try his hoof at it.

Any excitement he had quickly waned, however, as his skill at the flower crown toss seemed aptly matched to his skill at whack a poof. He reasoned with himself that it was just because he'd never been used to having hands, he couldn't help it.

He stared at the flowers, and at the boil running the booth and the longer he looked, the more his stare turned into a sort of miffed glare, until the little undead sniffed unhappily and turned on his heel.
He'd definitely be back, but for now he was a little full of heartbreak.

"It is the only thing I like to eat," Deszeld grunted, her wings stretching out behind her. "It is good, and cold, and comes in many flavors." It had been difficult for her to give up the thing she had won; it had been her crown of flowers, after all, and Deszeld tended to hold very tightly to things she claimed as her own. However, the circlet of blossoms looked much better on Holly's head than it would on hers. That wasn't to say that if Hollandaise won one for Deszeld, the green wouldn't wear it. She would. "It is how I stand," Des replied rather blandly. She made no move to shuffle back. "Do you always complain so much?"
