Reed de Févin "You were my everything.""Ah." Reed said as he rubbed the back of his neck. He didn't notice the lack of communication over the week, having been caught up in his own errands. He looked back down when Alan began talking about him and love, feeling a gentle smile crawl up his lips. "You nerd." he joked lightly as he put an arm around the scientist's shoulders. "That really means a lot to me." he whispered before kissing the man on his temple. When he leaned back, he smiled at a piece of paper held up between them. "I can't top what you just did, but I did get you a little something for Christmas. I pulled a few strings and got you a star. I tried to get you the moon, but people can be so stingy." he snickered."Your music will live on."

☸ Alan Brandt ☸ "The science of it all is simple." Alan scowled a little at the joke, not getting it at first and thinking that Reed was being rude before spying the smile. Ah, a joke! How quaint. He allowed himself a smile of his own, happily permitting the kiss before seeing the paper. He took it, looking it over for a minute. "33.3074303°–13.3040485°?" he read aloud. "Wait a minute, I know where this is. This is located in Coma Berenice, near the Black Eye galaxy. That's my favorite constellation." He looked up to Reed in amazement. "But why? I can understand getting me something wonderful, but a star? No one's ever given me a star before." "The numbers never lie."

Reed de Févin "You were my everything.""Exactly." Reed said with a smile, putting an arm around Alan's shoulders. "I wanted to get you something that nobody else could. It's worth it. You are worth it.""Your music will live on."

☸ Alan Brandt ☸ "The science of it all is simple." Alan's eyes shone as if they had stars within them as he looked up at Reed, an adoring smile on his face. "You're the best," he breathed, leaning into Reed's side and letting out a small sigh. He never thought he could ever be this happy. Suddenly, he felt a buzzing. Reaching into his pocket, the scientist pulled out his phone. He read over the text message, rolling his eyes. "Looks like Dana's little boyfriend was cheating on her. She wants me to beat him up, despite the fact that Prince Charming is twice my size. So much for a romantic lunch break, " he said, putting his phone away and crossing his arms. Being a big brother really was a full-time job. "The numbers never lie."

Reed de Févin "You were my everything."Reed cherished the moment until the text ruined it. He was about to throw a small fit until he learned the contents of the message. "Oh gee, really?" he blinked, trying to remember the guy. He seemed nice and dedicated, but he did have the build of those types of guys. Reed looked at Alan. "Is she coming by?""Your music will live on."

☸ Alan Brandt ☸ "The science of it all is simple." He shook his head. "She won't come near the school. Apparently, it's really creepy to her to be anywhere near somewhere that you and I have been intimate in any way. I don't pretend to understand her." He adjusted his lab-coat for a minute, then in a split second, took it off, setting it on his desk. He reached into a drawer and pulled out a black suit jacket, tugging it over his arms and fixing his hair. It was weird, not going out with the lab-coat, but he figured it was time he actually wore these suits right. "Come on, she's at my place." "The numbers never lie."
