Everyone was able to relax a little with the scene over and done with, Syara gone, and ice cream forgotten. Aali had had his say and turned his mind from the present to the future. The important part of the day had come and gone from his mental to-do list. Next thing, hours from now, was the band playing. Beyond that Aali found himself thinking about next week, and next month. His focus was broken when Charlie spoke up.
Aali frowned at the mention of food. It reminded him of his own hunger, and nobody was disagreeing with the idea. If there was any reason to focus on the real world, it was this. It was the mention of Matthias being the one to cook that got on his right side, and he grinned. Better than take out and hopefully less waiting. "I'll help," Aali chimed in. He turned immediately to the doctor's general direction, to explain. "Me and Matthias are going to make lunch. Great huh? What do you want? Matt will make it." He could imagine it now... Pear, apple, potatoes. Great stuff, as far as he was concerned. In all honesty, he wanted to put his hands on the food, as per usual, to consider what it might look like. Smells and texture he got from sniffs and bites, but not shape.
There was a quiet metallic scratching as Aali began undoing the cap of his flask, just a moment before he was chugging from it. He closed it back up with a very satisfied sigh. "I vote ribs. I haven't had that before."

OPERATIVE: CHARLIE SMITH CODENAME: KAGEAKA The Silent Shadow . . ."Oh, ribs sound great! What do you think, Doc?" Charlie asked, totally okay with whatever the guys made, so long as she didn't have to do any of the cooking. It was for the better, really. "Afterward, we're gonna go check out the new recruit's band. Well, we hope he's going to be a new recruit. He's ... having a little trouble, but we're hoping to change his mind." Grinning, Charlie turned and ushered the guys a little further down the hallway. "How am I the only one who knows about this place?"She shook her head fondly, and ducked in front of them to stand in front of a pair of double doors, down a mostly unused hallway. "I mean, I don't even cook..." Charlie winked and pushed open the doors, walking in with a flourish. "Behold, the forgotten staff lounge. There's a stove, a fridge, pots, pans...whatever else you need for cooking, I don't know." Charlie laughed. "A table we can sit at, a nice couch, a TV...I'm pretty sure it's a hold over from when the operatives used to live here. But...it works for us! Pierson even still keeps this place stoked. There should be everything we need here."

Alec Braely"Damn Doctor" Dinner sounded great to Alec but he knew seeing to Syara's health took priority so he waved Kage off and smiled "as tempting as some wonderful ribs would be in this situation i must go see to Syara." if she had been missing her mask she could be seriously ill in a short time if they weren't careful. he would have to assess the situation and the rate at which her body would be fighting back to asses the proper course of action. He slipped away quietly so he wouldn't get them off track before heading to the bio container that was Syara's sick room. Within the unit Pierson was seated next to the sleeping girl wearing her own mask and white scrubs as precaution. "has her temperature or color changed at all since you brought her in?" The damn doc read the files as he stepped in with Pierson with his own mask and special scrubs that were cleaned, the read outs did not provide much comfort for her position, taking off her mask was the main issue, the water was heavily contaminated as well but it did appear that other than a rash she was supporting on her upper arm the real problem lay within her lungs where an infection was already taking root. "Sorry pierson looks like she is gonna be here a while, that infection looks rather nasty, we will filter the healing agents through the filter system" he placed a hand on her chest to listen to her breathing getting a little ragged and he glowed slightly as he worked to burn off hte most harmful of the bacterium, taking over for the 60% of her immune system that failed to work right.

Katherine Pierson PCI Psychiatrist and Commanding OfficerPierson had called the Doc straight away once she had left the scene where Syara had collapsed. She brought her to the clean room inside her apartment. Her entire apartment had decontamination lasers on all the doors and windows, but this room had been specially designed for when, not if, Syara got seriously ill. It was bound to happen sooner or later, so Pierson hedged her bets and splurged almost a fortune on high tech medical equipment, some more expensive than the stuff Doc had in his own lab. "She's steadily gotten warmer, but her color... she's always been that pale." Pierson sat in the chair next to where Syara was, watching the girl intently. She watched as he glowed, working on burning off some of the infection himself. "Even if it is your job, I really appreciate this Alec... I hate to see her like this, but it's just something that happens... She was already a little sick when I sent her out on the job last night... Expect a large bonus heading your way this month, cash as usual." Pierson sighed heavily; she couldn't shake the feeling that it was her fault. She looked away from Syara for a moment then sighed, "I want to stay here with her but I can't just stay in this room. I'm restless... Want some dinner? I imagine you're gonna be starving after that... You know I'm a pretty good cook." She smiled a little at her guest and tried to make the best of a horrid situation.

Alec Braely"Damn Doctor" Sitting back as he made sure Syara would be able to sleep soundly through the night. "thank you Pierson, food sounds great, the others were talking about seeing some show tonight perhaps you wanted to go with them? she wont be waking till tomorrow i made sure of it" he spoke softly for Pierson as he took a look at the rashes on her arms as well, taking care to inspect her head and neck too, careful of her hands as he took off her gloves to check them too. "we shall leave her gloves off for now and i can get ointment for the rash that she can put on when it spreads" He leaned back to look over at Pierson with a nod and then took off his gloves, walking to the door followed by Pierson. "doctor prescribes rest for Syara and another regular check up tomorrow, also you should go out and relax tonight, i hear they are going to a bar, doctors orders?" Corry "Drummer"Corry seemed nervous as he paced back and forth on the stage checking on connections and the set to make sure nothing would be going wrong, dispite all appearances he was very serious about the music and took a lot of pride in his talents. "something is going to go wrong here tonight i know it Zack" he usually had these premonitions and upset moments when under heavy stress, it was interesting to see him so worked up though. "oh god... what if... what if i am lactose intolerant and we just had ice cream and and.... oh god i cant think of it!"

MATTHIAS KENT "BLINK" Matthias hadn't made ribs in a long time but he was up to the challenge. Matthias always crafted the best of foods for any occasion, big or small. As delicious as ribs sounded, they would take awfully long to prepare. He would need sometime. "Ribs, huh...? Hmmm... You two really caught me off guard with that one. Usually takes a few hours to smoke, cook, and actually serve." said Matthias as he cracked a smile. No matter.. He aimed to please. The Doc left to attend to Syara's illnesses. With good care, she would make a great recovery, and it wouldnt hurt to make food for each of them either. "Well... Let's get to it!" said Matthias as he grabbed spices he deemed worthy of the ribs dry rub. It was his own flavorful, bold recipe. "I could use some extra hands while I put this dry rub together. We can kill some time by preparing a smaller meal to keep us up and about. I say homemade tortilla chips and salsa!" Matthias was speaking with his back to them as pulled 2 racks of ribs from the refrigerator. A friend of his, who was also a chef, gave them to him as a gift. "Would one of you mind grabbing some flour for me? A large pan would help too."

OPERATIVE: CHARLIE SMITH CODENAME: KAGEAKA The Silent Shadow . . .Charlie grinned, and pushed off of the dining table she'd been leaning against. "I'll get the flour!! It'll be in a bag marked "flour" right?" She asked, only partially kidding. It would be embarrassing to hand Matthias something different, and she wasn't exactly the most knowledgeable person when it came to cooking. "Hey Aali, I think the pots and pans and things are in the cupboard two doors down to your left." Charlie called over her shoulder as she reached up on her tip toes for the flour. Of course it just had to be on the highest shelf... She thought as she stretched her arms just...a little bit....farther... "Got it!" She held the bag above her head triumphant. Being short had it's drawbacks sometimes, but luckily, this wasn't one of those times. It would've been cool if Alec could have joined them, but she understood patient care came first. Charlie put an arm around Aali's shoulders and steered them both back toward Matthias. "Here, move over Chef." Charlie bumped him playfully with her hip and flipped her hair over her shoulder. "Your assistants need to wash up." She smiled and batted her eyelashes at him, then turned and turned the water on. A little bit of hot, and a little bit of cold. It was good to have this time together with her team. She wished all of them could have been there, but it was great to have this time just to hang out and act like normal twenty-somethings. NeroBassistNero looked up from tuning his bass. He was off by himself, perched on a stool with his baby cradled in his arms. Her familiar sound fading as he looked toward Corry. The kid could be a bit of a meat head sometimes, but he was never wrong about these "feelings" he had, and when he did, he always seemed older, somehow. More mature. Carefully, Nero laid his bass back in her case, and carried it with him to stand with Corry. Of course, Corry's feelings were vague and never really provided any details, which meant he had to be ready for just about any kind of "bad" thing to happen this evening. Great, just what we need. Another set back. Nero thought with an internal sigh. Then Corry started panicking about being lactose intolerant, and the air of maturity vanished. Nero shook his head and smiled. "Don't stress, Cor. You've been eating dairy your entire life, and you haven't had any problems less. You're probably just going to spill your drink on a hot girl tonight or something." Nero teased good naturedly.

OPERATIVE: CHARLIE SMITH CODENAME: KAGEAKA The Silent Shadow . . . A couple of hours (and a belly full of delicious ribs) later, the group of PCI agents made their way toward the bar where Zack's band was playing. Charlie had no idea what to wear - she hadn't been a part of the team sent to scope out the location before hand - so she hoped the single black dress she owned would be appropriate. Much to Charlie's dismay, Pierson had insisted her female operatives knew how to fight (or in Charlie's case, function) in a dress and heels. Every so often, under cover missions required fancy outfits, and Peirson didn't want the women incapicatated by their clothing. Charlie only wobbled once on her heels, but she was begrudgingly thankful for Pierson's lessons. Otherwise she never would have made it out of her house, let alone all the way here. Her leather jacket held a few hidden weapons, and there were blades in both her heels. As an operative, she didn't have much time for make up, so eyeliner and mascara was going to have to do. Charlie didn't even bother trying to do her hair; she simply let it out from her ponytail, leaving it to hang down to the middle of her back.
With a quick flash of her ID to the doorman, Charlie stepped into the bar, searching for a table where some of the others were already seated, and inconspicuously checking the emergency exits, ranking potential threats, and various other security checks. "So, when do they start?" Charlie asked, carefully sitting in her chair. NeroBassistNero had his baby set up on stage, tuned and ready to jam. The guys were keeping an eye on it for him while they set up, and he met with the guy running their sound board. Luckily, he was one of the few things that had gone right this evening. They'd worked with the sound guy before, so he knew their tastes and preferred settings. Looking around the bar, Nero nodded to a few of the regulars, waved casually to some of their fans, and just generally took in the crowd. The mood seemed generally okay; people were glad the weekend was finally here, relaxing with a few beers and friends. There were girls and guys looking to hook up, a few groupies hoping to score with the band, a couple of guys were spoiling for a fight, so Nero made a mental note to keep the band out of their path. We should probably skip the fighting song too...Don't wanna give them an excuse. He thought with a chuckle. Nero clapped the sound guy on the back, happy with the settings, then made his way back up toward the stage. The set was going to start in a couple of minutes. He hopped up on the stage, picked up his baby, and strummed a few chords. Corry was looking nervous, but seemed to be holding it together, for now.

Renalissa "Rina" Rafaldi Keyboardist & Backup Vocals
Rina adjusted the settings of her keyboard, the sound settings had to be just right for it to sound good, at least to her. Her final pre-show checklist was just about finished as she played a few notes to herself, testing the way they sounded before giving their sound guy a thumbs up. sighing she adjusted her seat; she disliked standing and playing the keyboard for long periods of time, so, like their drummer, she had a stool to sit on. Spinning around a bit she looked to the worried Corry and gave him a quick hit on the arm. "Calm down Corry, everything's gonna be fine. I've got a good feeling about this show. Plus, we don't need to share the money we get with the manager. So that's a plus." She gave him her best reassuring smile and went back to testing out a few notes and settings with her keyboard. She glanced up at the crowd and hoped they would enjoy the show.====== Katherine Pierson PCI Psychiatrist and Commanding Officer
Pierson cleaned the dishes as she finished having dinner with the Damn Doctor. Alec's suggestion about going to see the show was a decent one, and she knew it was a much better idea than waiting around with Syara. On the other hand she was basically in a coma, and Pierson didn't want to leave her side. Syara was... too important. "Thank you for having dinner with me Alec... I suppose I should do something to get my mind off of... Syara's condition but at the same time... I want to be there for her if she wakes up." Giving a small sigh Pierson put the dishes away and turned to look at Alec. "I'll go to this show the others were talking about if you go as well. If I have to suffer through a garage band's music, so do you." Pierson crossed her arms and watched the doctor. She just wanted someone else there to make sure she didn't go right back to Syara's side the moment she got there because she was worried. Not that she would ever let anyone know that.

MATTHIAS KENT "BLINK" After dinner, Matthias made his way to the bar, taking slightly longer than the others. Before departing, Blink made a stop in his office on the 9th floor. As he walked to a nearby closet, Matthias swiftly removed his clothes. his gauntlets were the last to be stripped of his body. With a deep breathe, opened the doors of the closet revealing dozens upon dozens of outfits. Some of which still hadn't been worn before. "Hmm..... So many options..." said Matthias folding his arms. He briefly raked through heaves of clothes until rediscovering some nice clothes he saw fit to wear. He quickly showered, dressed himself, and headed downstairs - adjusting his cuffs and watch as he did so. Underneath, he wore lighter weight gauntlets that stretched 9inches down his forearm. He didn't carry his firearm tonight. He figured the 6 blades each gauntlet was equipped to fire was capable of taking down any unlikely threat.
The bar wasn't unbearably far from HQ, but on a slightly full stomach, the walk seemed much, much longer. Blink quickly shook away his fatigue as he entered, making his toward Charlie, who he'd spotted from the corner of his eye. Those curves were hard to miss in such an alluring dress. He approached the table from the same direction, slightly leaning over the back of Charlie's chair bringing his lips close to her right. "I don't get the pleasure of seeing you enough outside of the office... I could get used to seeing you in a dress." whispered Matthias. He fixed a button on his shirt and took a seat next to Charlie. He looked toward her with a lasting gaze, almost lustful in nature, before his eyes turned to the table in front of him. He smiled, trying to dismiss his amorous behavior toward her. "Excuse me?" Blink gestured toward a nearby waiter for a cold pitcher of Samuel Adams beer. The waiter quickly filled their glasses and left the remnants of the pitcher behind on the table for others to serve themselves. Matthias kindly thanked the woman. The bar was lively, filled with the usual occupants you'd occasionally find at the bar.

Zack Hoyt
Seated on one of the amplifiers, Zack was busy tuning his guitar. Even though he looked busy, he could definitely hear the drummer’s usual freaking out session that came before every show they did. He rolled his eyes at his friend, but continued setting up his guitar. He figured the show would go well despite Corry’s worries. Fortunately, Nero was there to try to get Corry to calm down at least a little bit. ”Nero’s right, Cor. The show’s going to be fine. You’re freaking out over nothing, seriously.” It was then that Rina mentioned the fact that they wouldn’t have to give their old manager his cut of the pay this time, which was most definitely good. He didn’t really pay any attention to the crowd while he was setting up on stage. Not that he was nervous or anything, he just was focused on the show and the songs they were going to play. As such, he failed to notice that the people from PCI were in the audience tonight.
When he was finished tuning his guitar, Zack get to his feet with the instrument at the ready, the strap holding it up for him while he wasn’t actually playing it. But he did give play a couple of cords to make sure he was satisfied with the way the sound was working. He gave a satisfied nod towards the guy at the sound box controls to let him know he was okay. ”I’m ready when you guys are.” he stated, ”Let’s give ‘em something to rock to, alright?” When he received the go-ahead from the his friends, Zack began to play the first song in their set for the night.

Katherine Pierson PCI Psychiatrist and Commanding Officer
Pierson stepped into the bar with Alec, he had convinced her to let Syara rest at her home and to get her mind off things they decided to go to the show that Zack's band was having. The bar wasn't exactly upscale, so she was fine wearing just her leather jacket over a black shirt she had, along with some grey jeans. It was something that Pearce would have worn but Pierson felt comfortable wearing it in public. She saw Charlie and Blink on one side of the room, giving a small smile she dragged Alec to their own table, not wanting to interrupt the pair's night out. "Give the two love birds some space. We can enjoy the show from here." Pierson sat down at the table and looked up to the band that was already playing. Pierson hated to admit it but they were quite good, and she did like this kind of music.

OPERATIVE: CHARLIE SMITH CODENAME: KAGEAKA The Silent Shadow . . . Charlie was just debating whether or not to order a drink when she spotted Matthias approaching. Damn... she thought appreciatively, whistling softly under her breath.Charlie looked away quickly, pretending to watch the band finish their warm up as Matthias slipped behind her. His breath tickled her cheek while he whispered in her ear, and she had to fight down a whole body shiver as she looked away, biting her lip to keep from grinning. There was nothing she could do to stop the ferocious blush creeping across her cheeks, though. Deciding that two could play this game, Charlie turned back to face him as he took his chair. She reached up and pulled her hair over one shoulder, leaving the other bare and offering an unobstructed view of her...dress. She looked up at him from under her long lashes. "You clean up nicely too." Charlie said, just loud enough for him to hear. Convinced she was going to burst into flames any second, she was both relieved and profoundly disappointed when Matthias turned and ordered a pitcher. Luckily, the waitress was quick and returned in no time, filling their glasses before departing. Charlie took a swig, glad to have something to help her cool off. Just then, the band started to play, and Charlie grinned. "They're pretty good!" Scanning the crowd while she bopped her head to the music, Charlie spotted Pierson and Alec, and raised her glass to them. Finally, a nice night out with everyone, no drama, no targets, no fights. I wish Syara could be here. Which reminded her..."Hey, where's Aali? I thought he would've been here by now. He was so excited to see them play. Have you talked to him?" Charlie drummed her fingers on the table, wishing she'd worn her glasses. Someone in the bar would have a phone she could borrow and temporarily use to track down Aali, but Charlie hoped it wouldn't come to that.
Nero Bassist The crowd was loving their first song, and Nero was totally in tune with the band, and the music. Nothing beats the rush of being on stage, man. He thought to himself, enjoying the music as much as anyone. The stage lights were bright, so the band could only see the first two rows or so of the crowd, and a couple of tables closer to the back. He noticed some of the people from that weird encounter at the ice cream shop were here, and he wondered if Zack knew. Deciding not to bring it up to him - that whole thing had just seemed uncomfortable, anyway - he shrugged it off.
The band was definitely giving it their all tonight. Finally free of their stupid-a** manager, they really seemed to be coming together. Now, they just needed to find a good replacement. Pushing those thoughts from his mind, he looked across to his band mates and flashed them a rare grin. This was what playing a show should feel like. Nero was on Cloud 9.

Alec Braely"Damn Doctor" they arrived at the bar around the time the band started to play. Alec was impressed by their talent and as he settled in his seat with Pierson he ordered some snacks, still hungry after dinner and all the rather excessive healing he had been doing that day. "i didn't realize they were an item" he watched the band with a small smile not sure if he should put his phone on the table in case an emergency might call for him. He wasnt the on call doctor, but most of his paitents were rather special cases, Syara being the worst case he covers but not the only one. As he reaches for his phone though he notices someone comming up from behind their stage and watches a little confused. nudging Pierson lightly he wonders if there might be something more than just a show going on. Corry "Drummer"Corry remarkably was talented enough to be the drummer and back up vocals for his best friend in certain songs. Rina was the back up for most of the songs, but they all had agreed that having him sing for a few made their music sound so different at times it was hard to dislike. His stomach was starting to hurt from the stress his mind was still giving him. and he messed up once or twice as his premonition was steadily getting worse, by the time the song ended he had to take a breather, he knew the others had noticed his slip ups but he didnt really want to worry them at the same time. He gave Zack an im alright smile as they got ready for the next song.

MATTHIAS KENT "BLINK" Matthias took hold of his glass, standing in front of him on the table, and held it in the air toward Charlie. "Cheers..." said Matthias as their eyes met. Their glasses touched before meeting his lips. His eyes rolled up from his glass toward Charlie as he drank. So very pleasing to the eye, this woman was. Her scent; captivating. An instinctive desire burned within his very being. He watched as she draped her hair over on shoulder, leaving the other for his visual pleasure. Blink softly licked his lips as his eyes wondered about her. He grinned with a huff, turning to his right, hiding his own blush.
As Blink lowered his glass onto the table, the sound of music started to flood into his ears. The band had begun playing. They're pretty good!" said Charlie. Matthias turned to face her. "Yes.. They are, aren't they?" He took possession of Charlie's left hand, holding it within his own. The conversation continued on. Charlie noticed Aali was missing. Where could he have gone in such a short duration of time? "Hmm... The last time I saw Aali was during dinner earlier today." Blink reluctantly reached for his phone, slightly irritated at the fact Aali, in his absence, was snatching away Charlie's attention... He couldn't be too jealous, however. Aali was their comrade. "Maybe I'll give him a call.." He dialed Aali's number, raised the phone to his ear, and sat back in his chair. He awaited an answer.
