Tim Burton and Studio Ghibli are such great film producers since they have a great take on what they produce and it's unique in style and design.

Well, if you read any of the books some of both studio's movies are based on, there quite good. Sometimes you need a good producer in order to get the best out of some novels.
No, they arn't similar, but just enough to make you go 'heck yes'.
