While still in Preachers arms, and asking if she'll get dunked the girl's eyes squinted as if thinking.
"Ooo yes!" a little bob of her head, careful not to clock the other in the face.
"I know how to swim a little." she admitted, bobbing her head several times in confirmation. Alec had taught her last summer, and the red headed child was rather proud of herself.
"...or I think so! At least once or twice." She answered indecisively, giving a small shrug. this boy was a good shot like some of the others! It was silly seeing her brother barely sit down and go tumbling right back down.
Once settled on the counter Ashley gave Preacher a considering look, propped up on the counter her little feet swung off the edge looking at the ball, then the object she had to hit. Just as soon she was lowered to the ground and offered a rather promising offer.
"I'll try okayyy~!" She shouted flailing her "wallist" costume at the boy. She looked positively mischievously, certainly entertained by the ball roll as she watched Preacher intently, reaching up and taking the offered object.
Practically prancing into place, she closed one eye and took aim. And of course the ball went sailing, well past the target smacking a bystander who happened to be the victim of the child's miss throw.
"Oopse! Sorrrry!" She called out bursting out into a giggle. She reflectively ducked behind Preacher, not clinging as she had at first and just sort of peeking around a bit.
Alec meanwhile quietly watched, his smile a gentle one. He was vigilantly over the scene, rather amused really. Who knew Preacher had it in him to be so good with kids? Ashley was usually too much for some people to handle.
"Nice try anyway Ash." He leaned forward a bit chuckling, sending the other boy a silent mouthed thank you for Preacher's antics.
"You feeling any better?" Alec asked of this too Preacher, noting the cough and expressing concern for the other boy.
