Nox stood at the courtyard once more, feeling doubly blessed because not only was there yet another potential kithain standing beside her about to begin the search for another Fey to awaken, but that her ranks were becoming stronger. She was, however, rather annoyed that things had not been going particularly as planned. The mouse-fey still had not divulged anything of use, and it seemed that Feles had disappeared...Oh yes, Nox knew everything that happened within the castle walls.

Inle took in the scenery with a dubious, critical eye, still not believing that she was actually here, in a place of legend. Never one to lose her constant cynicism, she had almost convinced herself that this was nothing more than a very real, very strange dream. The only thing dissuading her from that belief was the woman standing next to her; after all, mostly-naked women were not creatures that often appeared in her nighttime visions.

The woman's wings fluttered. It had been fairly difficult to convince this Inle person of the validity of her claims...and she suspected a fair amount of skepticism remained. Still, at least they were now here, and things could be accomplished from there.
"Lead away," she motioned towards the general direction of the castle,
"You will feel drawn to somewhere, if you are indeed kithain. Your blood should pull you towards that Fey which you are descendant of."

A pull? That might explain the prickling that danced along her skin, that raised the hairs on the back of her neck; something else that told her that, as much as she might want it to be, this was no actual dream. A thricely pierced brow raised at the winged woman, and she turned from her, muttering, "'Lead away,' she says. I can't lead my way out of a paper bag, and she expects me to lead away? Pfft." She hadn't noticed that she had already started walking in the direction of the castle, her steps surer than her belief.

The Fey ignored Inle's muttering, following the woman. Good, there was some sort of pull. That would make things significantly easier, as it meant that this woman was indeed kithain to one of her people.

Though, admittedly, Nox did feel a bit sorry for whichever Fey it was. This woman did not seem to measure up to standard.

The pull the pale Fey had mentioned grew stronger as Inle approached the castle, settling into an itch between her shoulderblades. This was something she could not ignore; never in all her dreams had anything ever had such a physical effect on her. The sound of Inle's boots hitting the stone castle floors thudded softly, almost eerily as the sound was bounced back by equally stone walls.

It was not long before the Fey woman found herself and Inle standing in front of a beautiful stained glass mirror. The bright moon shone through it, illuminating it and random spots on the hallway.

Inle stopped dead as soon as she saw the beautiful window. The moonlight gave it an eerie glow, and she immediately wondered how radiant it would look when set against the light of day. "That's uh...wow. That's wow a lot," she stuttered, too taken aback to form an intelligible sentence.

As she approached the window, a voice chimed in her head..

"Do you, Inle-roo, give freely of your spirit and essence, to free Mephiti, of her dread curse?"

The words seemed to reach out and grab hold of her, binding her..

Did she what?! What curse? Spirit and essence, was this woman insane? There was no way--"Yes," Inle found herself responding, her tone almost serene in spite of the thoughts whirling inside her head.

There was a bright, nearly blinding light, which coalesced itself in the form of a small child...

Mephiti blinked up at the woman a second, and then scrunched up her nose and let loose a fearful cry...

Inle instinctively turned away from the bright light, but a moment too late; spots danced before her eyes even as the light faded, and the Mephiti the voice had spoke of was revealed. She stared blankly as the girl on the floor screamed at her, and with a maternal instinct that didn't often rear its head, she bent down and picked up the wailing child, bounding her in her arms a bit in an attempt to comfort her. "Hey, hey, it's ok, kiddo." At least, I think it is, she thought.

By now, it was more than obvious to Inle that this was, in fact, no dream.
