"Yes, Aurel." He laughed. "There are not many of us. I have only met one other." The finger against his non injured parts of his back tickled and he twitched slightly, a couple of blossoms falling from his branches, causing a sneeze.

Ugh.

"Yeah. I agree. We should." Pause. "Where did you get the ax? I have a scalpel and a dull knife and I don't think either of those are going to help me."

"Ah, how sad. I haven't met any doppelgangers personally, but I know they're out there." She conversed, helping him stand even if he didn't quite need it. Many doppelgangers were great at what they did - which was why they were, for the most part, not known.

"Oh, in that supply closet over there. There's quite the selection, actually."

"I'll have to pick something up." He smiled at the ghoul again, allowing her to help him stand up. "I will meet you downstairs?" Aurel slipped out of the room to go and try and find the supply closet.

[ SUPPLY CLOSET ]

Once he found it, Aurel looked over the weapon supplies and finally settled on a sledge hammer. Satisfied with it, he swung it up - despite it's size - with relative ease to set it on his shoulder. Heavy, but it felt comfortable for the large boil.

Down the stairs he went to the basement...where everyone else was, apparently.

[ ROOM 103 ]

It wasn't the room the creature had suggested he go to, but somehow Llyr wound up in it anyway, his eyes wide as he took in his surroundings. Leaving Amphi behind had been difficult enough (she had looked so cold), but knowing that he could possibly help her to survive was enough to make him get up and go.

Now he stood in the room, the vibrant (and slightly sickening) yellow colored walls, his hands twitching slightly (he missed his rings), and stared around at all of the things hanging on the walls. He'd never seen these sorts of things before, and Llyr wandered curiously closer, his head tilted, his eyes tracing the lines of one thing in particular.

He stretched out a hand and wrapped his fingers around the pole-like spear, pulling it down off the wall and looking at it with vague interest. It wasn't terribly sharp, but the end was pointed and jagged, which meant it would probably be enough.

Crude, perhaps, but effective, Llyr thought, and took it with him.

[ ROOM 101 ]

The next room was the one the creature had indicated, Llyr's eyes passing over the 101 before he stepped inside, almost hesitant, his expression a mixture of wariness and bemusement. Pleasant, tinkling sort of music flitted through the air, and sleeping on the couch was the creature itself, curled up on an aged cushion.

Llyr stretched out a hand towards it, fingers touching the fur almost experimentally, and he opened his mouth to ask it why it was here and not downstairs protecting Amphi like it had promised -

- but then it had jerked beneath his fingers, and darted off, leaving Llyr standing alone in the darkened room. He watched it go, lips pulled downwards in a frown, and then looked back at the couch and the torn cushion the thing had been laying on.

Carefully he knelt beside it, and gripping the pole in one hand, he placed his other on the couch before sliding his fingers into the tear and groping around blindly for a few seconds. His fingers touched something soft, slightly stiff, and Llyr drew it out, brows drawing together.

Feathers..?

They looked familiar, all-too-familiar - like Pachua's feathers, bright and colorful and the most beautiful green and blue. Llyr stared at them for a long time and then slowly curled his pale fingers around them, holding them tightly against his palm.

He stood up and left the room, the pole clicking on the floor.

With Aurel taken care of and left completely to herself, Gene picked up her ax and hefted it along her shoulder, striding back to the supply closet.

[ ROOM 103 ]

The doppelgänger could still smell whatever it was in the grey cabinet. She needed to know what it was, her curiosity was killing her. With a deep (completely not necessary) breath, slammed the ax into the cabiney again and again, brows knit into a continual state of fury.

"I wouldn't do that, if I were you." The Fracs warned, sitting in the doorway.

"And why is that, Parker?" Gene barked, rounding on the Fracs with her ax head sitting on the floor, using the pole as a third leg to stand on while recovering from the exhaustion of the barrage. "Are you even Parker? Or is Parker our DM for the day, and you're his PC?." The doppelgänger interogated, leaning in closer. "Though I suppose that doesn't matter - you can hear me either way, can't you... Big Brother."

"Because you'll have a death on your hands if you do." It warned, its voice surprisingly serious. As she went on, the Fracs tilted its head this way and that, clearly listening to what she was saying, and interested in it to boot. Its ears then pivoted backwards, low and regretful. "Ah, right, this one." It mused to itself, as if confirming something in its own head.

"What makes you so sure that I'm Parker? I could be a copy cat." It paused. "False Fracs?" It mused with a chuckle, turning its head away for a brief moment before looking back up at her.

"Whose?" The ghoul demanded, still leaning on the ax menacingly. His response to her latter demands stunned her for a second - she hand't thought of that.

But, no. This had to be Parker. Coincidences like this didn't just happen - a known serial madman didn't break out of prison without returning to his former actions; kidnapping students in this case. "Because, Parker, this is so like you. A bunch of Amityville students, a twisted game where we get hurt and our minds get screwed with and tortured. You're obviously controlling this, somehow. I'm onto you, brother." She hissed the last syllables, staring into the Frac's gasmask eyes. She'd have the truth, by force or by quick speech.

"Don't ask questions you don't want to know the answer to." The Fracs answered with a small tsk.

"You learned all that from researching though. Anyone could have done the same. I could be someone you know very well, playing a trick on you. I could be someone completely unrelated, who just wants to give chaos a try." The Fracs drifted off into silence, its tail flicking lazily behind it. "Again, huh? You must be a pretty desperate, lonely ghost to try and find a sibling in a psychopath. Or perhaps you're just demented? Delusional?" It trailed off again, musing to itself, head tilted to the right.

His words stung, and she recoiled from the tiny creature, ax held across her chest as she glared at the Fracs. "What's the likelihood that someone went as deep as I did - wait." Her bros furrowed even more at the hooved creature, grip on the ax shaft tightening.

"How would you know how much I researched? Did you... research me researching you? Augh, how creepy!" She wailed, sticking her tongue out. Absolutely disgusting!

The Fracs let out a barking laugh. "I don't see how it's any different from what you did, really~ You tried to pry into someone else's life for your own curiousity and amusement, I just happen to be a little better at it than you." It seemed to shrug, still quite amused, and finally stretched to lay down, tail still curling behind it.

"So what makes you think you're this Parker's sister? Is it because you've got silver hair too? Because, let's face it, it's not an outright special trait."

It was Gene's turn to let out a little tsk at the Fracs' comments, shaking her head as it explained that it was a better information digger. More like a better stalker, who specialized in being a huge ******** creep - and not the good kind.

"If you've really done your digging like you say, you know it's more than just the hair." She set her lips in a straight line, ax still helf in front of her. "You can't tell me I don't look just like Jenny...except Ghosted. Same eyes, same hair, same smile and smattering of freckles. Hell, we even have the same plushie - which I want back, by the way." She snipped, casting a glance at the cushion room. 'Plus, Parker's dads splitting and Jenny going missing at 9 years old ten years ago? Then I happened? I doubt that's coincidence." Gene added, still staring the Fracs down. Parker or not Parker, she didn't care anymore - this thing obviously knew something.

"You can have it back when you find it, not a minute before." The Fracs then went silent, as if considering her words. It tilted its head, and then looked up at the ceiling, then down at its hooves, and finally it started pawing at its mask. Honestly, it looked a little too distracted to even be thinking about this subject any more. It carried on like this for a moment or two longer, and in the lapse of silence, was footsteps.

A rather tall boil with silver hair and long brown ears appeared in the doorway, his face obscured by a gas mask that matched the Fracs', wearing a vest over a long sleeve shirt, and dark jeans. He stooped to pick up the Fracs, which cuddled happily in his arms, nuzzling into his shoulder.

"You know, I thought you looked familiar." He mused, his voice much deeper than the Fracs' had ever been.

She'd stumped the Fracs? How was that even possible, with all its wit and seeming intelligence. Hell, why had she never thought to question that before? Minipets couldn't talk - let alone create such elaborate plans and puzzle rooms like this. That's why she knew someone like Parker had to be behind it all.

"But I want it now." She whined before the boil strode in, picking up the Fracs with the identical gasmask. Raising her gaze at him, Gene's own face set into solid rock and boiling lava anger. So, their captor had showed, and he was so nonchalant as to just make conversation, and cuddle with his pet?

How dare he. A jet of hot air bellowed from the ghoul's nose as she imagined ripping into him with claws and talons and fangs. "Brother." She breathed out, voice flat and neutral. She had to play her cards right, else she'd be the next Amphi.
