All the Fey had this curious notion that he was somehow attractive, and a good lot of them that Rosa was jealous of this. No matter how many compliments he got, he didn't acknowledge them, because to him it was silly to compliment a person on their looks when there was no way for a person to change their looks. And besides, Rosa had made it apparent when she had spoken honestly she thought them mad for saying such- did he actually agree with her on this?
He smiled a little at Muris's words. "What do you think, Herald Alces? I think I rather like her small... then we can be true gentlemen and carry her around for all her hard work with the horses."

Alces now looked even more confused as he watched Lady Rosa, wondering what was going through her mind at the moment. He was about to say something, but stopped himself and remained silent for a bit longer. She was certainly acting strange, "I don't feel like standing up yet." he replied, "But if I did, and needed help, I would certainly ask for it." He gave a nod of his head and then looked over at Aesculus and Muris, smiling at the two of them. "Although I suppose it wouldn't hurt to stand up now anyway." He slowly stood up, after grabbing his book and handkerchief in one hand so he wouldn't have to bend over and pick them up, and possibly get dizzy from that.
Once he was standing he stretched out one of his arms, letting out a laugh, he nodded, "Yes, she deserves such treatment after all her work; making sure all of our horses are happy and well fed!"

Rosa sighed, "Well, I dare say 'least I have friend left." She mussed, looking up at Muris she shook her head, "Your going to drop her!" She Yelled, furrowing her eyebrows she moved away from Alces and kept a slight glare on Filix.

Muris grinned at Rosa, "You have lots of friends, Lady Rosa! I'm your friend, right? And so's Alcie and Filix..."
She blushed deeply at the other comments, though, burying her face in Aesculus' hair, "Don't be silly! I don'! I -like- takin' care of the horses!"
She was glad everybody seemed to be acting pretty nice...even if she wasn't sure what "enchant" meant. She'd have to ask Shiaree about it later so she could make sure Aesculus didn't do it.

"Alcie is most obviously her nickname for Alces." Aesculus comments calmly as he kneels to let Muris off his back. "I won't drop her.. in fact, I must be going, so if he wants, Alces can take over for me. Muris, I would still very much like to see the horses, but I must be on my way to see my mother and foster-brother... I have some family business to take care of."
Aesculus kisses Muris on the brow like she's his little sister before bowing and waving to the two adults, more Alces than Rosa, and running towards the Tir Na Nog circle, barely remembering to scoop up his book in the process.

Alces looked even more confused at Rosa's last comment, wondering why she thought he wasn't her friend, since he considered her to be one of his friends. He glanced in her direction breifly, saying, "I consider you to be my friend Lady Rosa..."
"Goodbye dear friend!" Alces called out after Aesculus, "Let them know I said hi!" He set his book down on the bench, and waved at the other Fey that was leaving, then turned his attention back to the others that remained.

The mouse nodded as she clambered off of Aesculus' back, "Yes, Lady Rosa. Alcie is what I call Alces sometimes.."
She beamed up at Aesculus as he left, waving, "Don't worry, you can come see the horses anytime. Have fun with your mother and adopt-brother!"
The little girl then went over to Alces, hugging him tightly, "I'm sorry if you were upset by me cryin'...s'just that I was so startled 'n all.."

Rosa sighed, "Well i appears we have been abandonded, Muris." She said, shaking her head at Alces. "Friend." She scofed, shaking her head, only to repeate, 'Dear Friend' aswell after he said it to Aesulus. "I must stop, Muris. I will be a bitter old ugly woman in no time if I keep this up; just remind me to stay away from Cervus, Alces, and Aesculus as a whole from now on, alright? ... Muris, I think I will go aswell. I think it is better to sulk in privacy." She muttered. "Would you rather I walk you to your chambers aswell?"Rosa sighed, "Well i appears we have been abandonded, Muris." She watched the other boy leave, then looked up at Rosa, "Mmmkay, I guess...that'll be good," she smiled, putting her hand in Rosa's and looking ahead, "I'm sorry you're feeling sad. I hope you feel better soon..."

Rosa smiled, "I won't be sad for long. Even if I dont get along with any of the men Im sure there willbe others in the future whom I am pleased with. Alces is a dissapointment, to me, though- while for you I am sure there is ample hope. Ah, well, I knew from the beginingI would have trouble with men. Come, my friend." She said, walking twords Muris' chambers.

Alces stared at Rosa a bit longer after she scoffed, almost looking a bit hurt by that, and said nothing until he noticed Muris was hugging him. "It's nothing to be sorry for. I wasn't upset. It's all right for you to cry. You were just worried, and upset." He smiled kindly at her and went to put his arms around her, "And now I think I shall return to my chambers and rest for the night. I'm still feeling a bit shaky." He leaned over to pick up his book and cloth and went to give the girl another squeeze, "Goodnight you two."

Muris seemed rather disturbed by this new revelation of Rosa's-- how Alces could disappoint anyone was really beyond her, especially if she passed whatever test he failed..
Sighing a bit, she walked with Rosa to her room, and then sprawled out on her bed, lighting the lantern that she had gotten from Alces and his "Sissy" and cuddling her mouse plushie and horse plushie tightly.

Roleplay Session
Session Plot: More chatter?
Participants: Rosa, Alces.. Yo, join!
The evening was growing late, and perhaps a bit chilly. The gardens were as they always were, save for the simply plucked notes of a stringed instrument that came from rather deep in the flowerbeds and trees. The notes were more then often off key, or one might assume the musicians fingers were inexperienced and slipped, but in total it wasent so bad that the song was completely unenjoyable. She was humming along to the lyre that was pressed against her shoulder, playing the instrument uncomfortably - more then obviously trying to get used to how it differed from the instruments larger cousin; harp. Once, inbetween notes, she muttered to herself something suspiciously close to, "Tell me my talents are mundane and useless.." with a scoff, the slow song continued.
Not that teaching one's self is always the best way to go about learning new things, but Rosa had thrown a fit some time ago with Ahnna and had stormed out into the gardens. She had been there who know's how long, though luckily the traces of whatever had angered her before her long since melted away, or appeared to. She was instead left with a stubborn determination to dominate the song, and though she had most likely been playing the same notes over and over she seemed to enjoy the well written and beautiful hymn to the song...still.

After having transformed into an adult, only the night before, Alces had come into the gardens since it was a quite place, very ideal for relaxing and the likes. He had made himself comfortable on one of the benches and had closed his eyes, only to be 'interrupted' by the sound of someone playing an instrument that sounded a lot like a harp to him. Reopening his eyes, Alces cocked his head off to one side to try and locate the direction the sound was coming from. The man stood up and began heading towards the noise. He figured it could only be one person; Rosa. That was the only one he knew of that played harp-like instruments.
As he rounded the corner, he saw that he had been correct in his guess, and stopped for a moment to watch Rosa, before finally stepping forward and not saying a word; seeing as how he didn't want to interupt her and cause her to stop playing the song.
