Diana was suspicious of Stella, but only because of Adrian's reaction when he looked up. She breathed with relief as Adrian's knee was lifted from her chest by Stella, but as soon as Darious interfered, she felt the pressure return and let out an 'oof'. She grimaced in pain, lightly glancing up at the insanity going on before looking at Adrian with a raised brow while still trying to knock him out.

Adrian could feel Diana's hands going along his neck near his collar. What was she trying to do? He thought she was trying to choke him with his necktie. The Assassin leader let go of Diana's chin and grabbed one of her wrists. "What do you think you're doing?" he asked in a calm, cold manner. He was ignoring what was going on with Stella and Darius. They were putting on some kind of show that was not needed.

Diana winced as he grabbed her wrist. "Trying to live." She replied calmly, trying to push against his grip, only to not budge at all. "I have too much at stake to be killed like this. My research... will revolutionize fuel cells..." She winced before letting out a small coughing fit. "Gas will be replaced by water. It's a multi-million dollar industry, green energy, that will revolutionize the world. Surely even someone like you can understand that, right?" She muttered, breathing heavily. "So I'll f-fight you... to... to the end if I have to..."

Adrian raised an eyebrow as he kept the blade close to Diana's throat. "You think making up stories will help you? Like I believe that. If you were that kind of person you would not be here. You're just another waster of space, unworthy of life" he hissed as his knife pressed against Diana's skin.

"Idiots... grabbed... wrong person..." She chuckled between coughs. "could... show you... how it works... to prove it..." She replied, looking as if she was beginning to fade. "Basic fuel cells... work using compressed peroxide or compressed hydrogen and oxygen tanks. The reaction is extremely dangerous because it's so powerful... exerting four times the energy of methane... or gasoline as you call it. So naturally it blows up the system. But if you use the Carnot cycle as a base and build using synthesized polymers... you can contain the energy and utilize it... the formula is... partial derivative of force over time with respect to pressure... is equal to the velocity multiplied by the... the..." She stopped, breathing heavily as she began to sweat. She was developing a high fever.

"Hey," Darius said, looking over at Diana. "As long as knives exist, I could care less about gas and crap." He sighed, putting his knives away. "Bored now!" He then looked at Stella with a grin. "You can keep trying to save her. It'd be entertaining to watch but I have another target to play with now." He told her, casually walking out of the cave, whistling as he tossed his knives in the air.

_______________ ★ _______________ Stella knew that Darius had thrown the knife that close to her on purpose, either in an effort to scare her or simply show off. She tried not to pay attention to him, even though it was tempting to curse and tell him to mind his own business. It was disturbing to think that he might have followed her here, which meant he had probably been nearby when she had been talking to that other girl. It was even more disturbing to hear Diana say that their people had caught the wrong person. Whoever those people were, they were going to be severely punished for their ineptitude. She didn't pay much attention to what Adrian and Diana were saying beyond that, but she did notice how weak the girl was getting. Stella raised a brow and walked over behind Diana to catch her if she fell, which might have happened soon. "Don't kill her," she said to Adrian. Not yet, she wanted to add. This girl was just full of surprises. First the discovery of the camera, then the ambush of a fellow hunter, now these nonsensical (to her) ramblings. It might be interesting to keep her around for a little while, provided that she didn't snoop too much.▸ Location: in the cave ▸ Feeling: incredibly disturbed sтεℓℓα

Adrian gave Stella a dirty look. "And why not?" he asked her. Even if it was just a ruse, Adrian wanted to hear the fellow assassin's reasoning. He payed not attention to the struggles of the prey under his knee. Adrian didn't care if Diana was suffering or not.

'Cold... so cold...' She thought, shaking with her neck under his blade. She breathed heavily as her hand dropped from his neck. She let out a few coughs as her head burned. 'Think...' She thought, slowly closing her eyes before forcing them back open. She lifted her free hand, the one which he was not grabbing, and put a hand against his forearm. She pushed his forearm to the side while simultaneously pulling the arm he gripped up so that Adrian would fall on top of her without the knife slashing her neck. "Warm..." She muttered, quickly gripping his jacket as her icy skin shook against him.

"Woah!" Adrian exclaimed as he felt himself suddenly get pulled onto Diana. The weapons in his pocket would most likely poke into both of them. This prey was a strange one. Pretty much all of his victims when he got a hold of them would be bawling their eyes out, begging for the mercy that he did not have before he ended their lives. However, this one was different. She seemed to remain calm and think clearly, even in this kind of situation. Perhaps the kidnappers did make a mistake. It was unfortunate then that Diana would have to die, just to make sure that she couldn't escape and tell the authorities about the Assassins' hunting grounds. Those who made the mistake of kidnapping her would be punished later, quite severely if Adrian was once again in charge.

_______________ ★ _______________ Stella returned Adrian's dirty look and was about to give him a reason not to kill Diana when suddenly she reached forward and grabbed him. Once again, she had managed to surprise them both. Even though Stella was behind her, she had still reached forward towards Adrian, probably because he was closer. In fact, he was practically on top of her. It was so ridiculously odd, the sight of them like this, that Stella almost chuckled, but bit her lip and stayed silent. She had already gotten into enough trouble with the Assassin leader already. This time she made no move to separate them. Maybe it would be in her best interest to leave them alone. ▸ Location: in the cave ▸ Feeling: mildly amused; contemplative sтεℓℓα
