He crouched, looking down and watching as lights flashed and weapons were thrown and swiped. It was a mess of color, from the dark tones of Negaverse uniforms, to the bright rainbow array of senshi uniforms. To be honest, it was rather hard to make out who was who, and he found himself preforming a different form of Where’s Waldo (Where’s Leto) in the mix of it.
Europa’s eagerness to find Leto and end her made him smile. “Not really smart on relying on the one-eyed guy to find anything.” He said, one of the few times he would ever joke about his handicap. Looking down, he rose up and started to walk along the scaffolding as he looked below, trying to pick apart fights and different signatures to find one that spoke to him. One DMC signature stood out, but it wasn’t Leto. “Seems Remaque is occupied.” He commented, gesturing at the man below. It was the perfect time if any to find Leto while the other officer was distracted.
And as if to answer this thought, he spotted her. “There she is.” He said, pointing down to where Leto was among her own. He moved closer to Europa. Placing a hand at her, he smiled. “Be ready to fight.” To which he teleported her and him down in front of Leto.
He already spotted a page beside her, but paid that officer no mind. He was here for Leto alone, and moved in, hoping the Page had enough sense to back off.
Moving in, he went for a swift kick at her side. "Surprise again!" He said, using Buddingtonite's little call from before.

"Everything? All I did was call him. He was the fool who traded places with that idiot in the first place. That wasn't my doing at all." It was awkward and difficult, but Lellouch managed to grab the boomerang while slashing it at Natron's front with out too much recoil. "Should. But you won't." The senshi said as she aimed a kick for his gut. "Won't because you're too hung up on what he thinks of you. You're too busy thinking about some rag tag family of idiots." The senshi made a grab for Natron's neck. "If I'm the monster, then what does that make you? You took her away from him, then, you stick that shell right back in its place like it never happened. You've hurt him just as much as I have. If not more. You can't bring yourself to actually do it and you know it."
"There's a reason it's called corruption. At least I'm trying to live up to it.

Leto's eyes narrowed suspiciously as the masked man continued to speak.Does it sound familiar? She swallowed as he continued, and suddenly Leto realized that she could hardly feel the energy signatures that should be emanating from Lellouch, Alkaid and what she assumed were Negaverse Agents. Cats, there had to be cats. She looked around the factory, trying to keep her cool as he spoke.
And then he whistled and Leto was pretty sure she was going to vomit. How the hell could she have been so stupid?
This could not be happening. She took an instinctive step backwards and looked at Damocles, horror-struck and suddenly the word 'surprise' was being yelled and enemies were dropping down around them. As a Page (Andronicus) stepped up to her and offered her help, Leto cringed but nodded with a quick "Thank you" before she pressed her way through the quickly growing chaos.
She needed to find that son of a b***h that was clearly the ring-leader in all of this. She stopped when she heard a familiar voice call out -- to the Negaverse -- and her heart practically lept out of her chest. Zirconia was asking for DMC starseeds. Which means... Did someone get killed? Leto looked around the large expanse frantically for a dropped body, but it was impossible to see anything clearly in the midst of battle and saw dust being dropped upon them. She would have to go back and find people later.
What mattered right now was the masked man that started this. Leto continued to push through the ever-growing crowd, practically deaf to the yelling of Senshi attacks and battle cries around her. Little did she know that he was hunting her as well. When he dropped down next to her and immediately kicked her side, She stumbled slightly, completely unexpecting the surprise attack. Quickly getting her footing, she hurled her entire body weight at the man, her shoulder dropped in an attempt to ram him in the gut.

It was a risk. Not even a measured one. Sympathizing with anyone from the chaos was as good as defecting to most. But the page either saw it Acubens' way or hadn't been taught otherwise and Acubens wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth. She smiled and gave the page's arm a quick squeeze before making her final request, "If you see a senshi who looks like a moth, is dressed in camo, or looks like Mardi Gras threw up on him let me know! I need to make sure they're safe." If they're even here. Something told her, however, Leto at least was in attendance.
And well, speak of the devil. There was her favorite puppeteer now! Fighting a white moon senshi. Of for ******** sake would people never let off them? She tugged on the pages' outfit once, instructing her to follow before darting off to her friend. He seemed to have everything under control, and the senshi he was fighting was too deep in battle to listen to her. The other white mooner, currently engaging another Dark Mirror she'd never seen before, looked less distracted. Acubens threw herself against the orange senshi, trying to pin her arms to her sides before she could do any damage.
It took Acubens just a moment to register what was going on. Just the slightest most infinitesimal instant before Acubens tightened her grip on the orange senshi and locked her jaw together. Her ears rung with the call of some kind of bird -- she hadn't been around for the name of the attack -- and it took real force of will to not let the senshi go and cover her ears. It even started to mess with her balance, making her knees a little weak with the force of the cries.

Remarque's defense was hardly anything to brag about. Above the belt, his years of boxing had prepared him to take and give a blow. Anything below the belt? Kicking wasn't fair game in the ring; even if he'd known what Thraen was doing, the only way to dodge it would have been to jump and Remarque just didn't have that in him.
As soon as contact was made, he realized he was going down; he just wasn't going to do it alone. He gripped the front of the senshi's uniform as gravity pulled him down. Either he was taking Thraen with him, or he was going to ******** up his uniform trying. And just in case? He threw a punch at the senshi's general direction, anyway. Now or later, it didn't matter; he was going to pay him back for that kick.
In the flurry of movement, he noticed a familiar face--Acubens--though in his current predicament he wasn't in much of a position to talk to her. He made a mental note to check up on her soon, though; he didn't want her getting hurt like in the last ambush.

There were Senshi and Negas all around him and Canopus. Any other time, he would have stayed and fight, going in to make sure that everyone was safe, certainly, but now, he didn't care. Okay, he cared, but they were being ganged up on. and there was no way he could keep fighting, not when Canopus was still here and liable to be hurt..
Then came the swipe at him, aiming for both his partner and himself. He couldn't let her get cut, so he attempted to block it, and any closer, his guts would have certainly been spilling out onto the floor. Instead, there was a deep cut going across his forearms and belly. Blood was pouring out, but he could feel it healing up a bit already, though it was true that he would have to get stitches after all of this.
Avior dove to the ground after the attack, dragging Canopus with him. Between their feet he smashed the ground again, this time summoning his wall below them. He was used to this, he KNEW how his wall worked, and even with the bleeding he was able to summon it, launching himself into the air, and hoping that Canopus was positioned well enough beside him to join him on the ride upwards.
"LAND IN THE RAFTERS!" He shouted at her, looking around to see if there was a clear exit from here. A window, any place where he could quickly make it out of here with the girl. Landing, he braced himself against a wall, trying to steady his breath in the few moments of peace he had obtained. Who else was up here? Damn, he hoped that no one was able to see them right away, or realize that they were up here as well.. Or for all he knew, he could have gone straight into the mouth of the lion..
Quote:
** In this case, Avior is summoning it directly below him. As he is not able to 'jump over the wall, it launches him into the air instead, though it's still there for the 10 seconds. Canopus may or may not have landed up there with him, it's up to you, Chibi.
Avior calls out his attack while punching the ground before him and from there, a magical, invisible wall springs up before him, enchanted to be impossible to jump over. It is only 10 feet wide, blocking him from any frontal assault. The wall is only up for 10 seconds, from which Avior would have to hit the ground again to build it up.. For an equal level character, it could be nearly impenetrable, and the stronger the enemy, the quicker the wall comes down. A 4th level character could instantly smash the wall to bits, a 3rd level character in a few hits, and a 2nd after a good bashing, though it would probably just be easier to walk around the wall. This can be used three times a battle, though there is a 10 second cool down between each summoned wall. I'll be back around 8 EST this evening Freaking school... sweatdrop if there's anyone else in the rafters, let me know, and they are welcome to try to stop him!
Europa had never teleported before, and she had to admit she was a little jealous. This was far more convenient than any power she had at her disposal, never mind that the surge of chaotic energy that made her head spin. Upon landing, she was glad that WP made the first move - she needed a second to get her bearings, and as Leto moved to counter the general with a powerful body slam, Europa sidestepped them both, raising her fists. Her attacks would give them a definite advantage over Leto, but she didn't want to risk WP getting caught in the crossfire - that would turn things very bad, very quickly.
"Surprise, b***h," she said, gritting her teeth and lunging forward, grabbing the wings at the small of Leto's back and pulling, trying to haul her away from WP. It had been a long time since she'd stared Leto down in their old apartment. She'd been too scared to make a move then - but now she was ready to fight back. They'd come a long way.
But this was going to end here and it was going to end tonight and it was going to end by her hand. Just how it should have always been done.
Europa swung her fist back, her sights set on Leto's face. She'd made a vow about what she was going to do when she got her hands on her, and she meant to keep it.

An incredibly familiar voice was heard behind her before suddenly she was being pulled back and away from the Negaverse General. She spun, and with the grip that Europa had on her buttwings, the fabric tore off into the Senshi's hands. However as quickly as she moved to face the girl, Europa had swung and threw a punch that hit Leto square in the jaw.
Her eyes widened at the sight of the Senshi she was pretty sure she had known well at one point in her life. She took a few steps back, momentarily forgetting about WP who would now be behind her. Her lip curled into a snarl and eyes eyes quickly narrowed upon the other Senshi. "Joining forces with the likes of them? I thought you were better than that." She pushed off the ground with her left foot, throwing her right fist at Europa's face. Through a wide-set grin now that she was close to her, she hissed, "Is it because of my being a traitor to the White Moon that you fight by their side?" Her left quickly followed to jab at her gut.
"Or is it because I killed Kathryn when Ares gave me power?"
If Leto was good at something, it was being a snarky b***h that liked to push buttons. And push them she would.
The wings came off in her hands, and Europa tossed them quickly aside. She'd only need these as a trophy if she couldn't take Leto's heart - and in that case, then this wouldn't really be a fight worth taking trophies from. Failure was not an option, she thought. Failure was not-
Leto's fist caught her across the jaw, and Europa staggered back from the other senshi for a moment, her head spinning. She pressed her tongue against her teeth for a moment, felt nothing loose or broken, and pressed forward again, only to be caught in the stomach by Leto's jab. Europa winced, and tried to push through the hit. Tantalus had already caught her in the same spot, but you didn't make it to Eternal without learning how to take a hit.
"Try both," she snarled at Leto, aiming to return the gut punch with one of her own with her right hand. "I can't bring her back, but I can sure as hell take you down, you face-stealing c**t."
Europa had dreamed of this moment for years, and she wasn't about to waste it. Bravado had its place, certainly, but words alone weren't going to destroy Leto. Europa followed her right fist with her left, hoping to knock Leto back with two hits in quick succession.

As soon as it was safe, Penthesilea let go of her ribbon-facemask, but she was already throwing her hands up in response to Chariklo's attack - even if it wasn't actually doing anything, because the buffeting wings or whatever they were did not seem to abate even with the protection of her armguard-gloves.
"Merde!*" She swore when her arms were pulled down and locked against her sides. Of course, of course there was some goddamned White Moon idiot fighting beside the Dark Mirror, and now this one was getting in her way. "Get off me, putain,** I'm with the Negaverse!" She stomped backwards, aiming for the foot of the girl holding onto her.
Natron stepped backwards far enough to avoid the blade, but not enough to avoid the boot to the gut - however, with that, he twisted the chain of his kusarigama round Lellouch's leg and yanked, attempting to take her off her feet. She was right, he wouldn't kill her, no matter how much he wanted to. That didn't stop him from posturing and boasting. Especially since she had the gall to bring up Cait, to bring up the one thing he regretted about being an officer. If he had been less loyal, less bound to being a General of the Negaverse, he would have offered to give her to Leto and the Dark Mirror, so that even under another name, Cait would survive.
He hadn't. Instead he had done as she'd asked, called Zinkenite, and supported her as she made the choice to kill the person she used to be.
"Oh really?" He asked, a slightly insane smile crossing his face. "How do you know I haven't given up? That I haven't accepted that whatever little family we had is one now? Maybe I just want to finish severing ties, and delivering his sister's starseed seems like a damned good way to do that."
"You know nothing, Lieutenant," Persephone snarled, stumbling backwards from the kick to his leg. "I am a corrupted Eternal Senshi, equal in rank and power to a General, and you - you are a recruit who never sohuld have been given the dark gift of Chaos, and I hope whatever General recruited you is ashamed to have done it." She snapped a booted foot out, aiming for his gut - heel first.
Her intention was no longer to reprimand, frighten, or educate. No, now it was to kill.
"I'll leave if Leto or Remarque sound the retreat, not before," Tantalus said, his voice steely. "And I've already done enough of keeping myself safe at the possible expense of others, thanks." How many times had Damocles had to intervene to save him? And now most of the Court was here, because he had called for help, and they were all in danger because of him.
He exhaled. Ida didn't deserve his sharp words, not at all. "I won't make a promise I can't keep," he said, "and you seem to have plenty to do, keeping your teammates safe. Besides, if it comes to it, I have one more shot of magic, and I can send someone on a lovely little wild...apple chase, if I need to."
The girl in Acubens' arms trashed a little and Acubens almost laughed. Calm down little fighter, just relax. She almost didn't hear the girl's response over the sound of the Dark Mirror girl's attack. Almost. When it did register in her mind the blood shunted from Acubens' extremities to her core. Her face paled and her knees went a little gooey. So this is what her court had resorted to? They were teaming up with absolute evil to exterminate neutral?
In the next moment, Acubens' foot was stomped on, causing her to shriek in the senshi's ear, what with her mouth being so close and all. She tightened her grip again, leaning in close as she ignored the ringing in her ears and the pain in her foot.
"Well in that case," Acubens muttered darkly, nuzzling her nose along the shell of her victim's ear, "you have to go."
She let go of the senshi after that. But only for a moment before she slammed both of her fists into either of her ears. It had happened to Acubens once, a long time ago. She couldn't hear for the rest of the night and her balance was shoddy at best. She wasn't sure how hard she was hitting back this time, but with any luck at least it disabled her opponent a little.

It was impossible to breath after such a blow, much less speak, and blood found its way through his closed lips when her boot dug in deeper. He seemed surprised to see his own blood and maybe that's what finally caused him to become aware of the terror growing within him.
She made him bleed. She intended on making him bleed more. She intended on killing him! He should have been horrified at the realization of his own mortality, and yet... he said he'd die for White Phoenix's cause, did he not? He felt fear swelling inside of him, but there was no regret in there. Fear that he had let White Phoenix down, yes, but not a single ounce of regret would be found, even as he felt himself dropping to the floor. He had hoped for some strength, wanting to wrap the string of his weapon around her throats in hopes of taking her down with him, but there wasn't enough to even lift his arms.
He was going to die. She was going to kill him. Yet, he found himself smiling, and he had enough strength to do two things. The first was to bring a hand to his chest and rip open his garments to reveal the skin beneath. Ultimately a useless endeavor, considering one could easily slip their hand through the garment, bones and flesh to take what they desired. The second was to spend his dying breath cursing her name and very existence, and spend it he would!
"N-no... you... you're the one... who brings shame to the Negaverse... you should have died... you... are the one unworthy... even now... all you've done is kill one... little... lieutenant. That's all... you are... a traitor... who killed her own to protect these parasites. Let everyone know... that you chose the Dark Mirror Court over the Negaverse. That... is the ultimate treason..."

Feel free to end his miserable life in the next post.
Canopus was never too ashamed to admit that she had closed her eyes when Labyrinthite struck at them again, and despite how terrified and confused she was, she did take comfort in knowing that she had Avior's arms around her. However, that comfort was shattered when she saw how much blood coated his arms, and the sight of blood, her friend's blood, struck something primal within her. Whatever control she had over her emotions was lost, but there was no time for her to react or think. Suddenly the ground beneath her shifted and she felt herself rising up. Avior was saying something and she just barely caught it over the swirling emotions and thoughts running through her head.
He said something about the rafters! She moved without thinking, looking down and ahead only at the path ahead of her, and though she managed to jump onto the rafters, she had to fall onto all four and cling to the footing of the rafters. Avior's blood stained her garments. She could feel it soaking her clothing and sticking to her body, but she tried not too look at it. She tried not to look at anything. She was too scared. Her mind had shut down, and all she could do was cling to the rafters, praying that no one would find Avior or her.

She nodded at Acubens and looked around for the ones she described. Well she found the madi gra one (Remarque), but so had Acubens. The senshi she'd been talking to before was surrounded but those power signatures. Andronicus winced and turned back to the colorful one who was fighting with a.... walking nymph? She honestly couldn't tell but she jogged up behind them and went to smack Thraen in the back of the head with her mace.
"HEY. Leave the party senshi alone!" It was only after she was there did she realize the power level different.

Was it her birthday? Had the gods decided to grant one of her many wishes? Well, okay. No. Probably not. But Chariklo was sure as s**t not going to look this particular gift horse in the mouth.
Okay, granted, she hadn't expected any White Moon senshi to come and try to help her. And she actually felt really, really bad that the kid got caught in her magic. But oh! What a joy it was to see that same kid hold on to the ginger like a friggin' leech!
Darting forward, she reached out to catch long hanks of ginger colored hair, intending to twine it around her fist in preparation for some simply vicious yanking. And just to make it even more fun for herself, the mohawked senshi swept one log leg out, aiming for the back of Ginger's knees. Losing one's balance whilst trying to avoiding being scalped would hurt.
Chariklo hoped it hurt a lot. Because that was just the beginning of what she had planned.
Die Fluegel der Freiheit
Sweenys_Revenge
Chariklo is grateful and thinks she might like Acubens a lot.
Penthesilea swore again when Acubens shrieked in her ear - she had hoped that stomping on her foot would make Acubens let go, but no, apparently not. And damn it all, she'd found someone who was not only dedicated to the Dark Mirror but determined and willing to hurt Order senshi to defend them.
Acubens's nose against her ear was far, far too intimate for her to be anything like comfortable, and she stomped backwards again, aiming for the same foot.
"You're the one pickin' sides with freaky mirror zombies," she snapped.
The fists against the sides of her head were unexpected and the sudden loss of anything even resembling equilibrium, combined with Chariklo's leg against the back of her calves, meant that she was already going down. The only thing keeping her from collapsing was Chariklo's hand in her hair.
Vaguely, she considered that she would have to remember that move, and that perhaps she might want to cut her hair at some point, because it was far, far too much of a vulnerability.
Persephone smiled. Well, she could give this Lieutenant credit for his dramatics, certainly, and dramatics were something she would always be fond of. So, in the end, was dying for what you believed - so when she withdrew her boot, it was to reach a hand out to catch him, and cradle his body.
"It's too bad that you won't have time to learn the truth, little Lieutenant. It really is. You could've grown into a proper soldier someday, with all that enthusiasm. But you're wrong. Your darling, precious White Phoenix has made a mistake, and it is one he will be punished for. You, unfortunately,m are paying for his poor decisions with your life."
Her hand snaked out, sinking into his chest and gripping his starseed. She held it for a few brief seconds before she jerked it out, and lowered his body to the ground. Before she stood, she closed his eyes - as she had once seen her past image do to another person who had been given a merciful end.
She took a moment to examine the starseed. "Maybe next time around, hmm, Lieutenant?" She asked the tiny glowing gem. For a moment, she considered crushing it - but no, to end his life not only now but forever would be far too cruel. So she slipped it into the layers of her sashes, where it should sit comfortably until she could get it home.
