 〠☾ Doing her best to keep a straight face when he responded, she was unable resist a small nod of understanding, as if she felt horrible that he needed to suffer from such a large burden. "Of course." she said when he brought up the ball, her expression shifting slightly to accommodate the business side of her following statements. "It's an annual thing, but this year is an even bigger deal because of the Veil's removal." That was the main reason she expected that this year's celebration would be more exciting than the last few years. If only for Nicolo's sake, she hoped her assumption was correct. "It's the town's excuse to get dressed up, but there's no real dress code." she added after a moment of thought, not wanting to leave out any details. Last year's party had been especially relaxed, but she recalled it having a rather small turn out as well.
"Here-" she started, stepping back and turning to face her car as she dug out a set of keys from her bag. Clicking the button to automatically unlock the vehicle, she opened the driver's door, her gaze sweeping across the seats before settling on her dashboard. She was the sort to stick her mail up on the dash until she got home, but it had turned out to be a useful habit for tonight. Selecting a flyer from the top of the stack, she glanced over it quickly to make sure that it was indeed the right sheet. Turning back to Nicolo, she offered him the paper. "This has all the details. When, where, and such." Tucking a lose strand of hair behind her ears, she glanced up from the flyer, studying his face to see if he had any more questions.

Maxy Wexerg Haha, I'm sure we will razz I'm just gonna post my reply directly to here~  Danny Danny smiled a bit when she wrapped her arm around his, "I'm glad you approve~." He replied as they started to walk together away from Kalula's store. He made sure to make his pace match her's so that that they could easily walk with each other. Wind had started to pick up a bit and he couldn't help but notice that her dress seemed like it would be cold to be in. "Kalula, hold on a moment~." He said suddenly as he slowed to a stop and looked at her. "I think this might help you out~." He said with a light grin as his finger glowed as magic flowed in it and touched her shoulder gently, a magic circle suddenly appearing and disappearing at the spot where he touched. This magic caused the air around her to become warmer just for her, so that she wouldn't get a cold from the cold air, it was a very comfortable warmth. "How's that..?" He asked her curiously with a smile as he looked at her. It was clear that the male had several surprises up his sleeve and magic was one of those things.

lXl Tempus Temporis lXl Alright let's do this! Whoo...widow dating!  Kalula wasn't a stranger to being out with a male and she wasn't shy when it came to touches, that kind of relationship confidence came with being so into the idea of marriage before. She leaned her head softly on his shoulder and reveled in the care he put into her. He moved slow enough to match her short movement speed which was probably difficult for him and the warmth his closeness provided was a fabulous contrast to the cool afternoon air. When he slowed to his stop though she was a bit confused but moments later her confusion reached a climax when a magic circle was immediately radiating from her exposed shoulder. She contemplated running, jumping, skipping away in terror but when nothing immediate happened she froze. Never before had Kalula really been exposed to actual magic, if you don't count the boy she met...aside from her ability to see ghosts she was always used to a human life.
She had no idea what his little magic would entail until a few moments passed with simply standing their in minor scaredy speechlessness. It was then that her shoulder and slowly her entire body began to radiate a certain heat that didn't seem at all intrusive. She could still feel the cool air flowing towards her and everything still felt nice but a warmth on her skin kept her from capturing the cold wind. It was like her skin was warmed to keep her completely balanced temperature wise. "Wow...so that's magic huh...y-you scared me there...I thought my head was going to explode." She resigned herself to continue walking with him but elbowed him softly on his side. "Y'know if you could tell I was cold, a simple gesture of giving me your jacket would have been enough you know." She moved back to leaning her head against his shoulder and sighed softly.
Moments later they were at the restaurant and to be honest Kalula was nervous, it had been a while since she worked on her small talk. Could she even keep someone who knew magic interested long enough for this to work? As they walked in it felt like the spell used on her wore off, it was warm inside so maybe the magic was meant to break when the temperature around her began to match her natural heat. Wouldn't want her sweating profusely from heat imbalance... As per the gentlemanly way she waited for Danny to set up their table.

Danny Danny was smiling a fair bit at her reactions at his sudden use of magic and couldn't help but grin a bit at her comment about his jacket. "I wouldn't make your head explode, that would be a waste of your beauty~. As for the jacket, isn't that something one does on the walk home~?" He teased in reply after she had elbowed him in the side. He smiled softly when she leaned her head against his shoulder again as they started to walk again, the male humming softly as they walked. They soon arrived at the restaurant and entered it, the magic wearing off on Kalula after they had entered. Smiling a bit, the male went up to a man in front of a door holding what seemed to be a guest list. Danny was smiling cheerfully as he spoke to the man as he seemed to pull out something like identification and showed the man holding the list. It was at that moment that that man face went pale as he looked at it then at Danny with his cheerful smile. "A-Alright, f-follow me please, sir and miss." The man with the list said in a slightly flustered voice, talking to Kalula as well. Danny moved back over to her and walked with her to their table, Danny had moved behind one of the chairs and moved it out a bit so that Kalula could sit in it. Once she was seated, he sat in his seat across from her, "It's great that we were able to get a table, right Kalula?" He said with a kind smile as he looked at her. The man with the list had quickly gone back to the entrance of the restaurant, still pale in the face as Danny took a moment to look at the menu.

The male's compliment made her feel really special, it had been some time since she actually had someone to compliment her this way. His word choice really reminded her of her old flame, he too refrained from calling her cute...sticking with words like beautiful, which really made her happy. When the male moved to show his identification Kalula was a bit surprised by a few things. First she was surprised at how fancy the place obviously was, there was a list, a person waiting at the door and everything. The young ghost whisperer had no real notice that Danny was one willing to take her places with extravagance. The whole episode with acquiring the table also had her feeling a bit suspicious. Kalula was starting to assume that aside from simply knowing magic, this guy was some strange TV monster of some sort. Would he end up asking Kalula to make three wishes or something to bring him from the spirit world to eat people? The stuttering male helped the two to there seat and she couldn't help but revel at how pretty this place was. Danny even pulled one of the chairs out for her. He really knew how to make a girl feel special, did he really care about her that way?
When she sat down she marveled at how beautiful the table was. It was adorned nicely with a silken tablecloth, the silver was shining brightly and above them was a silver candelabra that seemed to accentuate the light in Kalula's face. "Yes...I've actually only eaten in a place like this once...I gotta say I love the fancy atmosphere..." She looked over the table into his eyes that were shrouded in the shade provided by his hair, to be honest the male really was rather dashing, if he was a wishmaster demon lookalike she would have to know now or else be smitten.
"So, I'm not one to beat around the bush so I gotta know, what exactly are you? Don't worry I'm pretty tolerant by now so unless your something bent on my destruction I have to know. The way that guy acted around you, was pretty terrifying. Neat, but terrifying." She moved to place one of the napkins softly on her lap.

Danny Danny was also enjoying the rather fancy atmosphere this restaurant had, but he found all sorts of food places, fast food places as well, interesting. He nodded a bit when she said that she had eaten in a place like this once and that she enjoyed the atmosphere, "I agree, it makes a great change of pace being in a place like this with another person." He agreed with a light smile as he looked her back into her eyes. He couldn't help but chuckle a bit at her question on what he was. "I see, well since you asked, I will tell you~." He said with a light grin and suddenly gave her a light bow, "My name is Danny, King of the Dragons of Faranth Errol. It's nice to properly introduce myself to you, Miss Kalula." He said in greeting with a kind smile as he revealed his true identity. "And don't worry, I have no interest in destruction, and as for that man there, it seems that he recognized the seal on my identification~." He added with a light tease in his polite voice. He then thought for a moment, "Is it bad that your date is a dragon..?" He asked her curiously as he looked her in the eyes with a kind smile.

lXl Tempus Temporis lXl Surry, I copied and pasted the same OOC from earlier. XD I keep forgetting to delete it.
"Oh no...like I said, I'm tolerant...I hope your not insulted by my asking, I just felt that if we were going to...actually start a relationship...my knowing would be a pretty good first step." She didn't know if this date actually meant anything, though a corner of her thoughts was pretending that it did. She was taught not to assume that a male's kindness meant he wanted to go steady immediately. "Why me though?" She said softly before a waiter slowly moved around to their table in order to take their drink order. Her thought was cut short unfortunately and she looked to one of the menus to see what tasted good. "How about some of that peach cider, it's a bit pricey but I can pay for it, I like to treat myself every so often." She nodded to the waiter before they turned to take Danny's drink order. The waiter nodded to the couple and moved to retrieve their drinks after stating that they would be back with them in a few minutes and be ready to take their orders then too.
She retreated to her thoughts again and looked to Danny. "Why me? A king could have anyone right? And your so..." She blushed, taking a minute to take in his physical qualities was not a good idea in this light. "Why would you want to go out with a simple bookkeeper? Especially one that's so...frumpy." Another horrible word her brother liked to use.

Danny Danny smiled lightly at her reaction to finding out who he was. "Of course I'm not insulted~. It isn't that much of a secret to begin with, but I generally don't tell people who I am because it's usually not really relevant topic~. And a relationship does sound interesting." He replied with a light chuckle. He blinked a bit at her question about why her, but before he could answer, the waiter had shown up to take their order for drinks. "I refuse~. I am the one who invited you here, so I will pay for it~." He said with a smile as he looked at her before looking at the waiter. "I'll have a Ginger Ale please." He said to the waiter, choosing a drink that was surprisingly cheap, but that was because he enjoyed the taste of this particular drink. He looked back at her as she rephrased her earlier question, which made him chuckle a bit. "Don't call yourself bad things, I personally think you are quite the beauty~." He teased her with another smile as he looked her in the eyes. "And what's wrong with being a bookkeeper? Books are a wonderful thing. As to why... hmm~, well I was first drawn into your beauty and I think you are very interesting. And there is something about you that makes me quite attracted to you~." He replied honestly with a light smile as he continued to look her in the eyes.

She was relieved when he said he wasn't insulted, guys usually hate it when all there issues are out of the open on the first date. She should have assumed that mister confidant would have stayed such. She was a bit shocked through when he agreed to pay, they were both adults here so she was definitely ready to pay for her share... if he was dead set on it though she wasn't going to anger him by being persistent. "Let's just say I'm humble...I'm used to making fun of myself." The way she saw it; it was easier to handle the teasing of evil peers if she was easily able to tease herself...
Her eye's lit up just a bit when he kept on with his spiel over her. It was like he would never look away, the safety of his gaze beckoning to hers was something she hadn't seen before...even in him. Ah...How dare she compare Danny to...she pursed her lips and shifted around in her purse awkwardly as if trying to change the subject. "Do you have a book about wooing women or something..." She stopped sifting through her back to look back at him with a blush that stated her embarrassment, good embarrassment of course. She liked the way he complimented her. "I'm starting to think you're doing something...I haven't felt this special in ages."

Huehuehuehue. :U Danny Danny smiled a bit when it seemed like that she was going to let him pay since he was the one who invited her to this place. "Well, I think you shouldn't think that way around me because I'll deny any bad thing you or anyone says about yourself, you know~?" He replied with a light grin as he looked at her still. She seemed a bit embarrassed with how he kept looking at her and not even around the restaurant at other people. He laughed lightly at the change of subject, "I didn't know there was a book on it~. I was only being honest and just being myself. Dragons have no reason to lie, we just do what we want to enjoy ourselves...and I am doing just that, enjoying my time with a beautiful lady named Kalula." He replied with a light tease in his voice as he grinned a bit as he saw her blush. "Well, I am very happy that what I am doing is making feel special because I'm having quite the fun as well." He added with a kind smile as a small, barely noticeable, blush appeared on his face as well as he looked at her.

Her smile must have looked pretty radiant right now. It had been so long since someone saw absolute unbiased good in her. With her eyes on her she listened to him talk about how she actually was special. His attempts to make her happy were very well placed and his voice was weaving her into relationship security. "I gotta say, I'm having all of the fun right now." She said with a soft laugh as she moved to play with the menu, his constant reassurance of her better qualities was embarrassing her, in the perfect way of course. When a new waiter arrived she carefully looked at what was on the menu. She wanted to refuse anything to expensive so she assumed her choices wouldn't be broad but considering the wide arrangement of beautiful dishes she was actually at a loss for choices.
"Hey, your a man right? Wanna try ordering for me?" She teased before closing the menu and slipping it towards him. For desert she knew exactly what she wanted but she wanted to give him a nice little boyfriend test.

Maxy Wexerg Sorry for the wait, things have been hectic for me :U I'm now in college, finally. :U Danny Danny was smiling quite a bit again when he saw her rather radiant smile. "I'm glad you are~." He replied with a noticeably cheerful tone in his polite voice. She seemed to have a tough choice on what to choose before handing over the menu to the male with a teasing test, asking him to order for her. "Oh really then~, lemme try~." He replied as he looked at the menu for a moment before gazing at her intently with a light smile. He was silent for almost a minute as he gazed at her. His smiled suddenly widened a bit as he turned the menu to a certain page and turned it so that she could see the meal that he had chosen. "How about this Filetto di Maiale alle Mele~?" He asked her with a smile as he pointed to the picture of the meal. It was a pork loins that was wrapped with bacon served with cooked apples. He was watching her curiously to see what she thought of his choice. Of course, he had no idea what kind of food she liked to eat, so this was, for the most part, a random guess, but it didn't change the fact that he put a lot of thought into this choice.

This guy was so smiley and confident. It was almost sickening to watch how easily he dealt with everything and anything she did. When she slipped to him the menu he was quick to look over it before looking over to her cute little smirk with a smile of his own fitted perfectly with intent. He seemed so content with her, not exactly amazingly happy to be with her but something about the way he smiled to her was enough to let her know he was really enjoying himself. If only for a little while she would allow herself that luxury too.
When he showed off the dish he would order for her she was a bit surprised. It was something she had never had before but she had seen it in a few of the international cookbooks advertised in her store. She had half expected him to get her a salad or something but instead he got her something both delicious and filling. Exotic...and pricey. "The apples should be a nice touch...I must admit my weakness for fruit." She said with a soft giggle before nodding to him, letting him know he made a fantastic choice this time around.

Danny "I see~. Looks like I did pick the correct choice then." Danny replied with a rather satisfied smile on his face as he looked at the waiter and gave him their orders, him choosing the same thing because it looked good. When the waiter was gone, he turned his gaze towards Kalula again. "So, Kalula.. Why don't you tell me a bit about yourself?" He asked her curiously as he looked at her and seemed to have thought of something. "We can do it this way, you can tell me something about yourself and in return ask me something you're interested in about me. We can easily go back and forth this way so we can learn more about each other as we wait on our meal." He added with a suggestion on how they could learn more about each other. "Hmm, so.. What is your favourite colour?" He asked her, starting with his first question as he looked her in the eyes. He was interested to find out what kind of person Kalula was, though from what he knew about her from speaking and watching her, she was so far the type of person who could easily keep him interested, so he naturally wanted to know more about her.

"Am I supposed to ask the same question, because I want to ask you something else." A nice shimmer of light danced across her eyes as she leaned forward with an inquisitive air about her. "You told me your title before, what exactly was it again? What do you do sir?" In an attempt to be cute as a button she put her elbows softly on the table before curling her fingers under her chin to hold her head up as she looked over to him. She had to admit, he was interesting her as well.
