He smiled even if he felt exhausted and anxious. "That's okay. I'm actually going to try to save room for dessert for once." More that his stomach had shrank to the size of a pea and he wasn't sure he could use his fork anymore. Right now, he just wanted to make Rin happy.
"We can't have a house like that but maybe we can go to a zoo sometime or a aviary someday. The weather is getting warmer now. We can make it a date."

Rin let out a soft genuine chuckle and completely ignored his ended use of his fork, "Aviary for me. Dog pound for you. Doesn't hurt to pretend for a short while."
With careful planning and cutting Rin finally managed to polish off the rest of her plate. She ate more, but she still had plenty of room left for a hopefully chocolaty end to this meal.

The waiter returned, taking their plates and glancing at Melvin when he saw there was still some left. "Is everything okay, Sir?" He asked, to which Melvin rose his hand and use the other to touch his stomach.
"Oh, everything is delicious. I just eat every little and wanted dessert. Tell the chef that everything is great." He informed him, to which the waiter, seeing that Melvin was just a bit paler than before, nodded and left.
"I'd like to at least pet a real dog once this year. I would love to adopt and just take a dog to a santuary where I could always visit it." To pretend that it was his own and that the dog would want to see him when he returned.
The desert arrived. Delicate chocolate lava cake with strawberries and a thin piece of caramel standing upon it. A light drizzling was poured over it.
"Wow. They go all out."Luckily with dessert, they all got a new fork.

"Yeah, it's a shame there's no fair way to go about it. I imagine the dog would be sad and neglected most of its life with an arrangement like that." She huffed a light sigh which twisted up and did a 180 into a happy little squeak at their deserts. Okay, this made up for the sad feels.
She split her cake open with a fork and the dark chocolaty innards spewed forth like a slain enemy. It was satisfying. She made a second incision and removed the dripping piece and with yet another delighted hum savoured it.
Rin was in decadence heaven.

He didn't touch his cake, instead weaving his fingers together and watching Rin as she just hummed over her fork, completely happy about her little, sugary death cake. It made him happy and he felt accomplished that he had planned well.

In no time at all her cake was all gone. Leaving behind nothing but a few chocolate splatters on her otherwise white pristine plate. She allowed the last piece to simply melt away in her mouth, which it did deliciously.
"That was amazing," she finally spoke as the flavour faded.

Far more relaxed this time with a fresh, clean dessert fork, he started cutting off a piece of his own cake, tilting it in order to keep the gooey insides from dripping and then held it up. "Would you like some more?"

Rin stared at the fork. Then Melvin. Then the fork again. She wanted to be polite and not a complete pig but come ON. This is unfair. With a soft throaty whine she finally gave in to temptation. "Yes please."

He was happier to see her enjoy his cake then he would have been to even eat a piece of it. He probably would only take a bite, wince at the intensity, and push it in her direction anyways. This way seemed far more romantic, and with the music and little tea candles flickering on their petal-covered table, it just fit.
He leaned the fork over to her, much in the same way as before. "Then eat it - slowly." He informed her. "I need to get my dessert out of it too." He made sure to lock eyes with her. He wanted a performance.

Rin's light blue eyes locked right back for a split second before they slid back to the treat, half lidded. She flashed a bit of tooth in her smirk as she replied, "is that so?" There was a clear tone to her voice as she found this to be quite amusing. She emitted a soft rumble of complaint, "I'm not going to beg if that's what yrrrr afterr~"

"Oh no, no. I don't need you to beg. I'm offering the cake. I just want you to eat it - savor it - seductively. It may not be a Popsicle or something as phallic as that, but do try and use your imagination. I'll give you cake and you can entertain me on how you eat it. It's a challenge." He proposed and then poised the fork, a glob of chocolate about to drip, in front of her. "Are you up for it or are as chicken as the birds you like?" He teased.

Oh Melvin, you are secretly one sick son-of-a-b***h. Rin has no choice but to give you that... and... well, a bit more. "Challenge accepted." Her voice had all but crooned as she leaned in at the offered fork. She gave him one last defiant glare. I can't believe you are making me do this you evil jackass. Then, she took the offered piece carefully in her mouth and then failed miserably at that challenge; simply snatching the piece more carefully than before, teeth never touching fork.

He watched waiting for some nice playing around with a tongue and some elaborate licking, but what he got was just a very delicate way to eat cake. He watched and tried not to show his disappointment. Instead, he only gave a soft smile. "You never ....went down on anyone before, have you?" It was actually kinda cute to think that Rin wasn't as experienced in these things as he first thought.
He took the plate the cake was on and handed it over to her to eat at her own measure.

Rin sputtered a bit at his question before looking absolutely scandalized. Don't ask s**t like that in public. In a fancy restaurant. ******** christ Melvin. She stared at him with with wide mortified eyes. "Shhhhutuuup." Adding insult to injury, he had apparently decided she was not worth feeding further for her short comings. Annoyed, she slid the plate back at him.

He laughed outright at this, looking at the plate and at her wide-eyed shock. He in no way found it inappropriate considering most of the couples here were giving each other bedroom eyes and were probably messing with each other under the table cloths. "I didn't expect you to be so embarrassed." He said, very amused. "We're both adults. We've messed around. I didn't think this would get to you."
At the pushed cake, he just looked at it and then her. "Not interested anymore?" She said she loved chocolate after all, and he could only guess the question had bothered her. He cut off another piece and held it out. "I don't get a chance to embarrass you like that often. I'm surprised. It's kinda cute."
