Voluptas would give these dancers credit where it was due.
The Worm? Much more amusing than the Waltz for sure. Plus, the people she was watching seemed to be, overall, better at it. She felt herself going for the higher scores more than she had in previous rounds. Perhaps something about it just made it a novelty, but...'
Himeros and Zest appeared to be decent at the worm--nothing more, nothing less. Their ability to move their hips at a ... semi-decent level seemed to translate into how they moved their bodies in a similar way for the worm. She gave them a solid 5 for their performance, a suitably average score for a suitably average dance.
Pothos and Apple Bloom made her laugh. Apple Bloom showed an enthusiasm for the dance she did not see from her exasperated partner, but Voluptas found just watching her depressing and gloomy Uncle Pothos do the warm absolutely hilarious. Apparently, she gave points for utter hilarity, because she ended up giving them a 6--a score a bit better than the average.
Her uncle Hedylogos and his faerie partner were really nothing Voluptas wanted to write home about. She had already seen something a little better in the prior two pairings, so she gave them a 4. They could definitely try a little harder.
Hymnaios, compared to the prior two rounds, just looked miserable. Apparently the worm was not his thing--nor was it Naomi's, for that matter. Horrified by the useless flailing they called the worm, Voluptas had no chose but to boo and give them a 1.
Iordanes and Minuette at least flipped some of that horrible worm dancing around, but it was nothing like what Apple Bloom and Pothos were doing. She found herself pushing her pen around, yawning as she watched the two of them. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't exactly what she would call, well ... good. She'd give them a 4. Barely below average seemed to fit that kind of mediocre performance.
Ah, her Aunt Aglaia! Voluptas had been keeping a keen eye on her, wondering how much she had learned from Venus over the year she had stayed with her. Yesterday, she had managed a performance worth a perfect ten with her partner Kratos, and today, she seemed to repeat it. She cheered loudly, throwing up a score of 10 for their amazing rendition of the worm.
Excited from the last performance, Voluptas let her eyes fly over to Euphrosyne and Lucius ... only to be gravely disappointed. What .... what was that? A snort of derision left her lips. Pathetic. It definitely was not worth following up the performance of rhythmic flailing she had just seen. 2--and she was lucky she didn't give them a one!
Now the next performance... this was far more interesting! Seeing what Terzjian did to make himself perform so well at the worm was something that Voluptas could admire. That was the way to use what one was to one's advantage! If he was naturally better at the worm, why not be natural? Kleta was not nearly as good as Terzjian was, which was why she granted the two a 9. No matter how creative and interesting Terzjian was, she could not justify a perfect ten for them.
Phaenna and Hiroki seemed to be perfectly matched for each other. Every time she had watched them so far, she had been fairly impressed, and this time was of no exception despite the fact they were performing the worm. Therefore, like she had previously, she gave them a high score, this time a 9 to match the prior couple.

Strawberri Stardust Apple Bloom giggled as she caught sight of Pothos doing the worm. "Isn't this fun?" she asked her dance partner and laughed. She was probably flashing half the dance hall but she really didn't care. She was having fun for the first time tonight and she hoped this would make Pothos more relaxed, too. Really, how could you not be relaxed after this!?
But she was smiling. That was kinda nice.. he guessed. "Well, if you are having a blast... then.. I guess that's kinda... cool." he said, even managing to give her a first real smile since the dance started.... that is until a foot from someone else worming along managed to sneak its way far to close to his face for comfort.
Holy dear great mother....please let the night end with all limbs intact!

Apple Bloom grinned when Pothos finally gave a real smile. They probably looked super silly wiggling on the floor, but it was totally worth it if he chilled out a little! And then someone got too close to him for his comfort apparently and the look on his face set her off laughing. "Oh my sun and moon!" she said, cackling. "The look on your face!!"

What was wrong with his face?! It was a perfectly normal acceptable face... or so he'd like to think. He hadn't realized that he was making any kind of face when the invading foot attacked and he stared at her wide eyed and frowny faced. "What.. whats wrong with it?!" he asked, reaching up to touch his cheeks and eyes and boop his nose. Yep, all still there...

She giggled and sat up, rubbing her face a little. "When that foot came so close," she said between bursts of laughter. "The look on your face was priceless!" She took a deep breath and tried to stop laughing. It was probably rude. "Relax, there's nothing wrong with your actual face, Pothos! It's a pretty nice face, actually," she said and giggled again.

He blinked....
"Oooooooh.....ooohh..... I'm sorry..."Stupid. Of course he had made a face at the offending foot... how silly of him. Too much worming! That was his excuse. Yep. He was sticking too it.
But his he apparently had a pretty nice face! ... What do you even say to that? "Thanks! You're face is pretty nice too." he nodded. Or well tried... it was hard to nod and worm, too many casualties waiting to happen. But he had her laughing at least!
