Alexa's hat was soaked and now her hair was starting to get really wet. She looked about trying to see if she could notice any sort of shelter nearby. Things weren't looking good since she couldn't see very far. Vincent noticed that Malorne had seen something. He kept up with the Sawsbuck while upping the heat he giving off in hopes of helping keep his trainer dry.1/3

  Rasha, being a fire horse, was extremely displeased with the downpour. Her ears were pinned back, and Shina hoped they found shelter soon. A shiver ran through her, and she hunched lower in the saddle. 6s Rolled: 1/3

As the rain poured down on then, Anise looked around to see how her pokemon were fairing. Gypsy was trudging along, Oki was adamantly keeping pace, but Felix wasn't immediately visible. When Anise turned to look for him, she found he was lagging behind, and his smaller paws seemed to be more prone to slipping on the rain-slicked stone. Without a word Anise recalled him. She wasn't sure he'd hear her if she asked if he'd like to be recalled, and she'd rather be safe right now.

@mewroseWHOMP! Starlily ducked under a lowish branch, but not quite far enough to keep said branch from hitting Joey. Unprepared for the sudden branch, Joey tumbled right off of Starlily's shoulders, landing with a splat in a muddy puddle. Joey shivered and picked himself up. Great, now he was cold, wet, and muddy. Starlily continued on a few steps, then turned back, apparently surprised to have lost his rider. "Dooos?"Joey rubbed the stripe across his chest where the branch had hit and smiled for his pokemon. "It's okay Star! It was an accident, and I'm all right!" he said. ((NASHI USED EXECUTIVE MEDDLING AND INCREASED THE 6s ROLLED COUNT BY ONE!)) 6s Rolled: 2/3

Paige trudged along with the group, pushing her bike along the path rather than attempt to ride it. The young trainer hadn't said much since that morning when they broke camp. She had sleep solidly, exhausted from the traveling (something she wasn't use to!) but her sleep had not left her feeling refreshed the next morning. She'd managed a bit of food, and to pack up her overly large bag but her energy flagged. Next time maybe she wouldn't bring so much stuff.
Struck by a moment of morbidity, Paige gave a weak laugh. Maybe this was just her way of bringing her possessions to the afterlife with her. Do as the ancients did. Between the trees, the lighting, and the potential for flooding, the little nagging voice in her mind was positive they were going to die.
Ivory on the other hand was having the time of her life. Sure the storm had her a little wary, but the buizel was frolicking about in the rain, bouncing between trainers and pokemon alike with bright, excited noises.

Anise saw a boy get knocked off his pokemon (a Rampardos? probably not easy to stay on at the best of times) and fall at least four of five feet onto the ground. Alarmed, she opened her mouth to call out to him when she saw him move about and speak up to his pokemon, apparently having not taken any serious injury. Little kids did seem to come off better from falls like that than adults did. Still, he didn't need to risk another tumble like that. She tugged on Gypsy's mane to get her attention and asked, "Let's head over to the kid that fell. I want to make sure he's OK. And maybe you could give him a ride until the rain stops?" The Zebstrika snorted, but nodded and trotted over to the boy. As Gypsy stopped near Joey, Anise called down to him. "Are you OK? Anything feel hurt?"

Alexa noticed a girl with a large pack pushing a bike near them. "Hey Rydia I'll be right back." She called out. She nudged Vincent to get him to move towards Paige. "Hey there! Do you need some help with that pack? It looks a bit big for you to be carrying in this weather." She called out. 2/3

@mewrose"Huh?" Joey wiped water out of his eyes and looked at the lady. "Oh, um, no, I mean yes, I mean, I'm okay!" Joey said. Starlily whuffled and nudged him a bit. Joey winced, because he actually was kinda sore from the tumble, and his chest hurt where he'd smacked into the branch, but he didn't want to make Star feel bad! He patted the Rampardos. "Star just didn't duck far enough, and I didn't duck at all, so the branch knocked me down. I'm kinda even wetter now though," he said, futilely squeezing water out of his shorts, only to have them become drenched again moments later. "Uhhh....is this your Zebstrika?" Joey asked. 6s Rolled: 2/3

@Nashi
Anise noticed the wince, but the boy was able to get up and move around easily enough, and nothing appeared broken or bleeding. Nothing appeared to need immediate attention, and she could treat bruises or the like later.
"Yes, this is Gypsy," she answered, patting the Zebstrika on the neck. "Would you like to ride her until we get out of the rain? I'm sure your Star is excellent at carrying you, but it must be hard to stay on a Rampardos in such slippery weather."

@mewrose"Well...." Joey thought about it. He really didn't feel like climbing back onto Star, and falling again would really hurt. "Okay, but only until it stops raining!" Joey said. "And Star, you can go back to your pokeball, because we don't both have to be wet, okay?" Joey told Star, looking anxious. Starlily whuffed at his small trainer, and nodded. Relieved, Joey recalled the Rampardos. Eying the Zebstrika, he considered what to do. "Is, is it okay to just climb on?" Joey asked the pokemon. Nashi used "ADVANCE PLOT!" It was super-effective!

The wind howls through the trees, driving the rain like tiny needles. The flash and boom of lightning and thunder is nearly simultaneous. A few people and pokemon have noticed a change in the terrain ahead, a dark, looming solidness. Maybe a cliff? Before you can get there, the heavy rain starts to become even colder…. Stinging hail joins the mix, and the faint trail you have been following fades out completely!
Quote: 1: Something hard hits you! Ouch, that’s going to leave a nasty bruise! 2, 3: You search unsuccessfully for the trail. 4, 5: You notice the underbrush seems less thick in one spot…. 6: Your character/pokemon finds the trail again! One 6, or three 4 or 5 rolls will advance the plot!

@Nashi:
"Sure, that's fine," Anise started to say, before being cut off by a boom of thunder. The rain started to fall harder, making conversation quite difficult. So to help get them moving faster, Anise just held out a hand to help the boy up.
Oki had been hovering, wanting to make sure his trainer was safe but also wishing they could move on. When he saw what his trainer intended, he headed over to Gypsy. He stood alongside the equine pokemon, then crouched and stood steady. He looked at Joey, then gestured towards his own back, offering himself as a step stool for the small boy.

@mewrose"Thanks," Joey said, scrambling up. He had barely gotten settled when the rain suddenly changed to stinging pellets of hail! "Ow! he yelped, huddling down and clinging to the Zebstrika in case it bolted.

@Nashi:
Anise helped Joey up and made sure he was settled safely behind her. "Hold on to my shirt if you need to," she told him, half yelling to make herself heard over the storm.
As soon as Joey was seated, Oki moved ahead a few feet to try and scout the way. Fortunately he was able to find the path immediately. He came back and barked at Gypsy, leading her to the steadiest footing and, hopefully, to shelter.

The trees give way suddenly to a cliff rising up in front of the group. One of the pokemon finds a crack in the sheer rock, and darts in. The group follows quickly, eager to get away from the hail that has started pelting everyone with bruising force. The opening is a bit small, and larger pokemon barely squeeze through, but after a relatively short distance, the crack opens up into a large cave. Relieved, the soaked group makes camp.
As the excitement wears off, exhaustion sets in. Everyone is soaking wet, cold, and most are fairly battered from the hail. Thanks to the efforts of the pokemon, several fires crackle, hissing and popping as the wet wood is consumed.
