Rabid coughed and squinched an eye shut against the licking. Sucha happy dog. Such a big, creepy, happy dog.
"Yeah, Shivali. Okay, okay. I love you too."
Ike was infinetly pleased with himself. Mummy didn't seem like she was going to kill anyone, and Shivali was happy.
Life was good.

She defenatly couldn't be more happy. She wasn't at the pound anymore, was now living in a place with loads of space to run, dig and explore and had a neat family to call her own
She was defenatly going to do her best to enjoy it all, starting with meeting her new pack properly (sniffs and licks to everyone)

"What? Oh - IKE!"
Len ripped off her headphones and abandoned the CD player, sprinting towards Malachi and tackling him.
"Hey!" She said, smiling as though it had been years since she'd seen him last, rather than days.
"Music!"
Sadako wormed out of Len's grip and scuttled back towards the CD player, dragging it away into the nearest bush by the headphone's cord. At last, it was hers, all hers!
"Crow, Rabid's here,"
"What?"
"I said, Rabid's here,"
"Huh?"
Julian forcibly removed Crow's headphones, much to her displeasure.
"Hey! That was the best part of the son-HEY! Rabid's here!"
Abandoning Julian, Crow scooted over to join the others, grinning.
"Hey!"
Julian followed, shaking his head again and holding the headphones. Ethan trailed close behind, waving to the children and what looked like a giant dog before turning back to his tangled headphones. After a second, he looked slowly back towards Malachi.
"That dog has six legs." He said slowly.

Lenore gasped, looking horrified.
"They were going to kill her? Just to make... that's not fair! I mean, if she was chasing people and eating them alive or something, but...well, even then.... that's not fair at all..." She rambled, blinking in shock. Shivali was beautiful - how could anyone kill something so wonderful just to make room?
Julian burst out laughing.
"Don't worry, I'll take the secret to the grave."
Crow could have kicked herself. Instead, she reached for Liam's hand and smiled, shaking her head.
"Sor-agck. Oof. It's an automatic response to everything." She said, laughing at herself. "I... I missed you too."
Sadako pounced on Skelly, clapping her plush hands together blissfully.
"Where has Skelly been? Did he miss Sadako? Sadako missed Skelly very much, yes yes, very much! Sadako got a present for Skelly - does he like eyes?"

Lenore shook her head in disgust.
"Humans." She muttered, patting Shivali carefully on the head.
Julian recoiled in playful terror, holding his hands up defensively.
"I won't breathe a word." He said, clinging to Rabid and forcibly holding back another laugh.
Crow was suddenly keenly aware of the reason why Julian blushed so often. Feeling unfamiliar heat rising in her face, she gave a slightly nervous smile and looked away.
"Oh, well...ah..."
Sadako squeaked with nervous excitement, clinging to Skelly.
"Skelly doesn't have to get Sadako anything," she said. "Sadako likes giving things. She also likes taking them from other people. Man she took the eyeball from made funny sounds when she poked it out."
She hesitated, looking thoughtful. (Insofar as dolls could look thoughtful.)
"Maybe Sadako should have waited until he was asleep before she took it...anyway, eye is in the freezer. It stays better longer that way."
