Ash blushed slightly at her teasing, but nevertheless considered whether this fellow could be trusted... for all of five seconds. "Well, he's obviously not with Team Rocket - that's good enough reason to trust him for me. Besides, when I looked at him I got that tingly feeling in my brain that usually shows up when I meet someone I should know. Besides," he added as an afterthought, "I'll have Charizard keep watch in case whatever this Mewtwo guy is turns out to be hostile."

Ash scratched his head. "I dunno... choose one at random?" he suggested sheepishly.
Pikachu shook his head in exasperation before taking Charizard's and Venusaur's Pokéballs and sitting on them so that the two Trainers couldn't let their Pokémon out. "Pika," he told the two trainers firmly, crossing his little arms and trying to get across the message that Mewtwo could be trusted.

(Yes, he does have their 'balls - that's the whole point. xd
NO! NEVER! DON'T MAKE ME SIC OMEGA ON YOU! HE'S LEVEL 100!)

Ash shrugged, taking his Pokéball as well and walking to the meeting place even as Pikachu explained his experiences with Mewtwo to Eevee.
As they reached the meeting point, a familiar exasperated "voice" could be heard saying, Yes, I know you prefer being on the offensive, but learning Barrier is still a good thing should you ever need to block a Special attack instead of dodging it."
"Pikapi! Pikachu, Pika!" Ash blinked and looked at Pikachu questioningly, only to get a shrug in reply.
For the love of... we've gone over this before! A shield isn't cowardly, it's a defensive tactic! Pure offense won't win every battle!
"PIKA PI?!? CHUUUUU!"
The two couples came over just in time to see something Pikachu could never have imagined in a million years: what appeared to be a human version of Mewtwo getting electrocuted by Pikachutwo... which was not only rather humorous, but also completely killed any would-be intimidation factor as a pink Persian watched on with interest from off to the side.

(My Adamant Mega Mewtwo X... challenging the Elite Four repeatedly is very, very good training. twisted )

Pikachutwo blinked and stopped shocking his trainer, turning to the group and brightening as he recognized Pikachu. "Pika!" He hurried over, and the two Pikachu began the Traditional Pikachu Greeting - a long, complicated greeting involving backflips, front flips, high-fives, breakdancing, headbutts, and at one point, reenacting a battle scene in kimonos.
Ash stared at the two Pikachu a moment, then decided not to ask, instead heading over to Mewtwo. "You okay there?"
I hurt... everywhere... was the raspy reply, Mewtwo still twitching and sparking every so often.

Mewtwo managed to reach for the Oran Berry and eat it, the Berry's healing effects helping him recover, and he stood. Thank you, that helped immensely. Anyway, I contacted for two reasons. The first reason is that I heard of your troubles with Team Rocket and wished to help. From what I can sense, Ash appears to have some latent psychic abilities; I can help him train them. The second reason... he turned to Ash, dropping something into the boy's hand.
Ash blinked and looked, seeing a familiar red-and-white orb. "Er... you're giving me a Pokéball?" he asked, puzzled..
Mewtwo nodded, his "voice" sounding a little amused at Ash's confusion. Sort of; it actually has a request attached, though even if you reject my request, I would still appreciate it if you would safeguard that particular Pokéball for me.
Ash blinked again, only getting more baffled. "Er, okay... what's the request?"
That Pokéball is mine; I want you to be my Trainer.
Cue Ash staring blankly at Mewtwo, trying and failing to comprehend the situation.
The two Pikachu, meanwhile, finished the TPG and hurried over to the others, curious about why Ash was doing a rather impressive impression of a Magikarp.

Pikachu nodded, looking rather sheepish.
Mewtwo nodded slowly. I see... yes, I suppose it's only fair. I knew of Ash's amnesia already - an amnesiac's mind feels different than one with all their memories - but the partial memory restoration solution did not occur to me. He waved one three-fingered hand over Ash's forehead, eyes glowing slightly, and the young man's eyes immediately drooped as he was hypnotized. Remember Mewtwo. Almost immediately, the droopy-eyed look was immediately replaced with the glassy-eyed look that indicated Ash was remembering something.

After another moment, Ash blinked before focusing in on Mewtwo. "Mew...two?" he asked slowly.
Mewtwo inclined his head slightly. I go by Chiryoku now, but yes, he confirmed.
Ash broke into a grin. "It's great to see you! How've you been? How are the other clones and Mew?" he asked with his usual enthusiasm... and apparently completely forgetting about Mewtwo's - or rather, Chiryoku's - request momentarily.
I'm fine, as are the other clones and Mew; I'm a Pokémon Trainer, you know, Chiryoku informed Ash with a small smirk, patiently putting up with Ash's overenthusiastic questioning.
"Really? That's awesome, we should have a battle then!" Ash looked between Pikachutwo and the pink Persian who was still watching them from the side. "These two would be your Pokémon, then? And how did you get a pink Persian?"
Yes, well... the Persian was originally Meowthtwo. Apparently a few hairs wasn't enough to create a complete clone, and so the cloning machine gave it some of the DNA pre-programmed into it - in other words, Mew DNA; it just didn't show until he evolved... at which point his fur turned pink and the coin on his forehead turned into a pink diamond for some reason... I mean, the pink fur I could understand, but his coin becoming a pink diamond makes no sense... anyway, He's 75% Persian and 25% Mew. I call him Jacques Clouseau, or Jacques for short.
"Jacques? Why Jacques?"
That got Chiryoku to pause and blink. ...Come to think of it, I'm not really sure... it was really just the first name that came to mind when I saw he was a pink Persian. Anyway, on a similar note, Pikachutwo is called Synapse now, since -
Mewtwo was promptly interrupted by a strange background music as Jacques walked over to the group with just the right amount of swagger to his step to look amazingly cool, a pair of blue shades having spontaneously appeared over his eyes, much to the wide-eyed bafflement of those watching bar Pikachutwo (a. k. a. Synapse) and Chiryoku... though their lack of bafflement was mostly due to their having gotten used to it.

(...I know the Pink Panther reference is ridiculously obvious... but once I got the idea in my head, I couldn't resist. The only thing stopping me from making it a Purrloin or Liepard is the fact that there is no Purrlointwo or Liepardtwo. xd )

Ash blinked, then looked rather sheepish. "Oh... right. Anyway, yeah, Mewtwo's a friend," he confirmed, smiling to his girlfriend.
