ChaosKnights Zero the Crimson And to add insult to injury, lets make it so that Juha and the Vandenriech were actually trying to save the world and the Soul King was actually a villain. That's right, I just turned this typical shonen story about a hero saving his friends/family/the world into a dark series that lets you think you're following the hero, when in actuality you're following the villain. But what would bite more is that Ichigo would have to choose which family. His Quincy side? or his Shinigami side? At first Uryu manages to convince him to join their side and in the process he kills Rukia and then while in a grieving state the soul reapers convince him to join their side and it proceeds to lead to the previously mentioned scenario.

By the time it's all over, he's the only one left standing. No more Quincy, no more Shinigami, and no more soul king. He's the only one left in the heavens.

ChaosKnights Zyphiel I guess that might happen too, but seeing how this "final boss" in the last arc of the manga is supposedly uber op, Ichigo might need help even if there isn't some plot armor or weapon. Though I don't understand why the Quincy want to go to the soul king's world. Perhaps to absorb his power? That, or it could be that the quincy have some type of grudge against the soul king, but absorbing his powers seems more plausible to me.

If he does succeed, he'd prob be the most op soul king in the history of soul society since he's got the power of quincy and he'll get the power of shinigami

But as shonen goes, Basch will succeed in whatever his task is to which it will force Ichigo to be at his absolute best.

An perfect ending to a complete tragedy unless you choose to continue it by following the efforts of Karin and Yuzu.

Rather, it feels as if most shonen manga forces the protagonist to go past his best in the final battles of any arcs. So Ichigo would somehow most likely go past his current god form to be even more op.

Zero the Crimson Whom, having lost their minds after losing their beloved brother, each choose an opposite faction and attempt to completely annihilate the other. Karin who became a Shinigami. Yuzu who became a Quincy. Two sides destined to fight each other till no one is left. Ichigo who is still broken over what he has done watching the world apathetically from the heavens not lifting a finger to stop any of it.

And thus chaos is born again, probably only to be stopped when the sisters combat one another and Isshin jumps between them and gets killed in the process.

But that would also cancel out the whole "giving up power for the sake of good" idea, since that was in the Aizen arc as well.
