Another test of strength... Ev wasn't looking forward to this at all. But at least she could seep her roots into the ground in their natural form to try and anchor her down...hopefully they wouldn't be torn from the other side of the ropes opponents. Muka dug his talons into rope, got near the end, and pulled. He didn't really like the mud from a fashion stand point, but he had to admit it was fun to muck about like scarelings. Xaejil wasn't especially strong but she was determined to do well. This was one of Jove's least favourite activities... With other students at least. While playing tug of war with his foxfires was a required activity for owning any canine minipet, the thought of losing because he really truly lost was painful for the little pup. He was fine letting his foxfires think they had won when he let go of their toy, but playing with other students who could see his physical weakness for what it was? Not fun at all. Jove gave it his best shot, wrapping not only his hands around the rope, but also a half dozen invisible tendrils as he pulled his hardest. Feats of physical prowess really were not Elium's strong suit, as was fairly obvious from the fact that he was a jacking beanpole. He took a position near the middle of the block of Undead, frowning worriedly as he got a grip on the rope. Joachim was rather thrilled that they had won the quiz portion of the tournament. Reapers of course were intelligent, well most of them were there were some that were still highly questionable in that area. However they were still losing despite the win, the undead was in the lead. Which was why he was currently at the tug-of-war match. The rope was burning his hands however every time he peered over and looked at that the oversized puddle of mud he cringed. No these new blue leather boots were far to pretty to end up in the pit, to hell if he was going to lose Joachim thought as he pulled even harder. His heels dug into the dirt as Merel cheered him on. Though it was times like these she wished she was more of a body versus spirit. Lizzy's strength was not in physical strength, and she was actually expecting the monsters to win this challenge... But that's not an excuse to not put her back into it.
