She wasn't a fan of the snowy theme but the hunt of fish seemed like a good challenge.
Xaejil stood beside the pond and waited as the fish came up for a breath. She darted for the thing but wasn't even close. Apparently she wasn't much of a fisherman.

The demon ghoul had to watch others before she'd attempt to bait the hook herself but she seemed to tie the shrimp on with no problem.

Once it looked like a pom looked at her bait but... no go.

Besides the goldfish like Poms, there were some Halloween like swimming underneath the clear ice, she could barely make out some moving vague silhouettes.
Should she try it?
The answer was no. As she made her first step, she fell into the cold water. Arynek was glad that she didn't bring the Meowstache with her.

Jil definitely didn't like to be teased by minipets. She didn't seem to heed the librarians warning about the ice but found herself an unhappy victim when it cracked and she fell into the icy water.

The pom goldfish she had caught earlier was starting to look very lonely swimming about in its bowl. Edel supposed that it wouldn't hurt to get it a companion, returning to the frozen pond once more.
There it was, the old looking fish had appeared once more. The ghoul had only taken a mere step towards it, but it had already noticed and swum away. It may or may not have also given her a look for disinterest.

In her eagerness to hurry over to where a small school of poms were gathering, the frost demon experienced an unimaginable embarrassment of slipping on the ice and landing flat on her back.

It had yielded her success before, so after the frost demon had enough of making a fool of herself she retreated back to the booth to grab a fishing pole and some bait. The knot was firmly tied around the shrimp, and the bait dangled in the air, ready to be sacrificed to the poms.

Alas, in the bout of over zealousness, the frost demon had tugged on the line too hard and snap! -
the fish was gone.
Edel was rather disappointed, but decided she would come back again after visiting a few other booths.
