It was the clinking noise that drew Thackery to the next door he chose, because it sounded a lot like keys. Needless to say, he found himself disappointed when he discovered that it was only treasure.
Boring.
He regarded the statuething with an expression that was completely unimpressed, arms folded as he watched him play with some weird beads-and-sticks thing,
"Okay. And I won't even damage myself, so yeah!" He stuck out his tongue, but it went unnoticed.
As he hopped towards one of the coins, he found some kind of tail on the ground. Intrigued, he tucked it into the back of his pants and snatched up several floating coins.

The first room that Freya decided to hop into once they reached the next floor, was the most depressing thing ever. Everything was BLACK! Whoever had designed this room was blind. Or crazy. Or maybe both.
And then she saw the gargoyle, with his weird little tragic looking outfit, and decided that yes, the answer was both.
But there! He held out the key, and she tried to grab it, but he was asking for something first. Something.. kindred?
She opened her mouth to ask him what he meant, but instead, it all came tumbling out of her like some terrible, terrible poetry reading.
"Souls drownings in the dark seas of lonely abyss, come closer until yeh falls in, down...
down.....
down........
There's nothings left of us but a stain of black, burned by the bright searing rays of hope. Hope is an illusion, it does nothing but melt us until we are six feet down.

Down."
Was somebody playing the bongo drums? She hissed at the darkness, snatched the key, and shook off the disgusting feeling that the entire room had just given her. What a loser.
Nobody ever told Thackery to avoid eating strange food he found sitting around, so when he discovered a mushroom just lying there, he popped it into his mouth and slowly chewed.
Woah, he was like...a giant now! He easily scooped three coins into his hand.
He had apparently chosen the wrong door this time, because just after opening it a clawed arm reached out and almost took his head off!

He wasn't giant now. As sad as it was, it wasn't as sad as the platform he landed on - it was really slippery somehow. He scrambled to prevent himself from falling.
The creature roared, and charged. Ge managed to get a little bit of a hit in... but the attacks from the hippogryph were leaving him feeling a little funny?

A more decent hit, but this time he was pretty certain that the creature had something funny in its talons. It made him feel weird...

Almost there. Remi too could see the creature visibly weakening. It was moving slower, less true of itself. Still stubborn as hell, but what pony wasn't?

Finally when he felt it HAD to be done for... the creature decided otherwise. Charging him, its beak almost right at Remis face... the creature burst in to ash and instead remi felt a little 'ploop' on his lap as the key fell from the remains.

He kissed Freya back, "I love you, too." There was an air of confusion to his tone but he went with it as they all moved on now. Now he went through a door that seemed so black that it made him feel rather down in the soul already.
Still he went through.
There were many more moments of confusion and suddenly when he moved to spoke poetry spilled out.
I hate him so, he is so haughty, He laughs at my disgrace each day. My brother he fills me with black dread, My brother I wish he were dead.
He keeps taking things from me, Telling me I am a useless waste. I tell him that I am going to kill him, Then grind his bones into paste.
After all, glue has a use, Unlike his worthless sack of skin It is simply refuse.
Suddenly he got a new key and he was told that it could have been better. Just what did he expect of him? Kettil quickly turned and walked out.

Without a word, Freya's key went into the hole. "MAAAAAN, this place needs a serious interior decorator. Yeh thinks I could be one of those one day, Hooter?"
