"See that's what you got me for!" Ja'kki struck a 'strong man' pose underneath Kr'stof, flexing her arms in a manner that didn't quite fit with her small five foot body despite the definition they indeed show. She murred softly with pleasure at the close contact with her friend. "You may have the pretty face, but I'm the one who knows her way around a woman." Ja'kki touched her forehead to Kr'stof's cheek and shifted, hinting that he should take his own weight back.
"Let's call it delayed satisfaction for now. Drowing in something sounds like a great idea. Do you know if they actually came or not? I thought they'd planned to but I needed to get Emerath here early so she could get a good sunning spot without fussing over crowding someone else's space."
Already people were walking about with purchases. There always seemed to be a rush for the best stuff while it was still available. Ja'kki wasn't sure what she wanted to spend her marks on, but there was a vinter and she could never pass up a bottle of well made wine. If she had the marks she might just get two, one for her, one for the rest of the Bolts.
Sasar - T'arn's Stall Marks: 4 1/2th
It didn't take him long after leaving Peya to find something else that caught his eye. Another smith, displaying a wholly different set of wares from the Master's stall, had but one thing that drew the handler from his wanderings. Sasar approached and carefully lifted the larger set of wher talons. Wher claws were deadly as is without being razor sharp. The fact that someone had come up with this concept was impressive enough to Sasar (and he kicked himself for not thinking of it first, but then, he wasn't a smith) but then to actually go through and make it.
"How sturdy are these?" He asked, looking up at the smith and giving a quick, if impersonal, nod of recognition as he noticed the goldrider beside him.

Celandine - Lucky Dip/Wandering 4 5/8 marks + flit egg
Celandine collected her prize with a grin, and before leaving the games behind, mentioned to those in the vicinity, "If anyone's luck doesn't pan out, feel free to come and find me. I might be persuaded to part with my little beauty, for the right offer."
The bluehandler winked, flipped her red hair over her shoulder, and limped off to see what was for sale.
Dinah - Peya's Stall 1/2 mark
"Ach." Dinah's expression twisted briefly with disappointment. A pair would be fine, but she was short a 1/4 mark. "Can't do a pair, but I'll take one. Some broken faces are better than none."
She handed over the very last of her marks, content despite her ability to afford a second set. With her shopping finished early, she'd have time to enjoy the party.

Arlii - Leaving Peya's Stall {3 marks + plus a date}
The Crimsonrider laughed, flipping her hair back over her shoulder and gazing at the daggers she had to choose from. "A feisty Queen feline. I stand corrected, darling." She brushed her fingers along the blade of one dagger, thumb briefly checking the edge before she repeated the process with a couple more. "I believe... I will take these two." Arlii carefully picked up each blade and placed them between herself and Peya. "And you will most certainly see my chipper face again a mark past sundown." She grinned slyly at the woman. "Until then... do try not to waste all that fabulous sass on everyone else?"

Tabathi - Wandering {4 6/8 marks}
"Thank you, sir!" Tabi looked over the bags of sweets and choose one after a moment. She backed away from the stall, allowing others to take their places. Tabatsk still carried the plush in her mouth, quite content to hold on to the thing. It made Tabi giggle again as she reached out to scratch at her wher's snout.
My thing? The wher tilted her head up towards her handler.
"Yes, dear. It's yours. If you want it?" Tabi smiled at the tiny creature. Tabatsk made a soft sound at the back of her throat in agreement. Yes. Yes the plush thing was hers!
"What should we do now?" The handler murmured aloud, glancing around at all the people. Tabatsk still stuck close to her side, moving like a wherry expecting a surprise attack. But there was a little less suspicion drifting off Tabs with some of her focus now on the plush.
Yummy smells. Her nostrils flared briefly before she ducked her head again.
Food. That did sound good, she had to admit. She'd yet to eat anything so, perhaps they could browse some of the food stalls? "Let's go see what we can find."

A'nos - G'nar's stall
The harper smiled and showed off not only clean, but manicured powerful hands. Doing the strenuous physical work demanded of a rider didn't mean he couldn't take care of himself. "I was looking at the tawny ones and the spotted ones in particular, I'm afraid your rarest piece is a little out of my price range," A'nos continued with a small smile, reaching out to smooth a hand down the tawny fur of one of the skins. Perfect. "Would you consider selling me a spotted pelt and a tawny pelt for two marks?"
G'nar was pleased A'nos had clean hands, even better he wasn't going to touch the grey pelt, he nodded his approval for the man to handle the goods if he wished but his eyes remained harsh, making sure A'nos didn't mishandle them despite the fact it was difficult to to damage a pelt by just handling them.
"I could go 2 and a quarter mark fer the two" he said, not minding haggling "The spotters aren't rare but they're harder t'find than the tawnies"

A'nos - G'nar's stall. 2 3/4 marks
"Hummm." A'nos considered the deal with his head slightly on one side. He could push for more, maybe try to haggle for two and an eighth, but he knew perfectly well what a good deal he was getting already. After a few moments he smiled and extended a hand to the large man once more. "We have a deal sir! Have you anything to wrap them with so that I can get them safely to my weyr?" It was worth asking.
G'nar was pleased with that, he knew he'd offered fairly and took the man's hand, and his marks. "course i do, how'd you think i got 'em here looking as good as they do?!" he said, not completely snappy but enough that he was mildly irked the man thought he hadn't been prepared for the sale of his items. He got out the covering he'd used for each individual pelt and wrapped the two up, showing obvious care in his handling of them. "Yer takin' 'em now or am i sendin' em to your Weyr later?" he asked, knowing full well carrying two full feline pelts around a Gather wasn't really practical.

Jessan - T'arns stall 5 marks
Jessan loved Gathers. Jessask didn't feel the same and she'd been tired - thus, the wher stayed in their own home. The human side of the pair, however, prettied herself up in a nicely tailored dress, let her hair flow free, all of those silly selfish things people did when they wanted to feel nicer than they were. Too many nights in the 'Pit made her feel a bit grungy sometimes, even though only Jessask frolicked around to rip people apart. People milled around her, crowds and laughter, talking, and goods.
Oh, and the goods. Jessan all but zero'd in on T'arns stall, his lovelies. A certain bit of his stall stood out, clearly, beautiful, her eyes latched on to those wonderful wher talon sheaths. "Those," she said without preamble. "Are absolutely lovely. However did you think of them? May I ask the price?"

Kr'stof - Whatever Ja'kki wants 4 7/8 marks
"It's true! That's why we keep you around. That, and your excellent swinging arm," Kr'stof chuckled, keeping close to her until Ja'kki moved away. Kr'stof righted himself, brightening right up again. "Thank goodness for that. I wouldn't know the first thing to do if a pretty lady such as yourself asked me out for an evening of joyous company. I am all up for some wine, though, if that's what you are aiming for. It's been so long since I've had some ridiculously good wine. Shall we? Do you know where they are? -- and no, unfortunately. S'lar has been even quieter than myself lately. And Merrill... I don't know. We ought to find them, regardless."
He touched her elbow, still smiling despite his words. "Come on - let's go get some things, precious."

A'nos
"If you would keep them back I would appreciate it, but I wouldn't ask you to bring them to my weyr!" A'nos replied with a little shake of his head. "If you ask Jareth to tell Acriculeth when you want to close up shop I will come and collect them and take them up. I can always return to the festivities afterwards." If there were more deals like this out there he wanted to get to them first so avoiding the detour for the time being would be an advantage.

G'nar
"Fine, i'll keep 'em back here for you, send word through Jareth when yer comin' for em and i'll have 'em ready" he told A'nos, not realising how much of a good deal the other man had gotten, it was his first time selling anything, his sister usually did that but he'd offered to sell today and she'd forgotten to tell him what to put the prices at. He might not sell any of the other pelts but at least it meant there were two less pelts crowding his and Jareth's Weyr, he had a small number of personal pelts he kept as decoration and usefullness. Only one as nice as the Grey pelt though, which was why it's price was so high.
"That is absolutely perfect. The woman has vision that can see through anything," D'ei leaned in to take the right size of boots, watching as the paper was wrapped around her goods. The brownrider took the package with a muttered 'thank you' before she moved back. Serdek got another small smile before she left. Walking proved to be somewhat awkward with the large cloth wrapped gifts tucked against her. Crowds didn't hinder too much, people moving this way and that while D'ei kept from their way, as unobtrusive as she could be.
She had better things to do. Like find her weyrmate, for example. The tall greenrider had to be somewhere.

TawnyAngel
(Hey Tawny, Mokah had asked for the price of the fancy wherhead daggers, onto the plain ones. I'm gonna RP as if she was quoted the price for the correct item.)
Mokah - attempting to haggle at Peya's stall 5 marks
Hmm, 4 marks for the fancy daggers? That was the majority of her money, but on the other hand she wasn't sure if she wanted anything else she saw. Mokah picked one up and turned it this was and that to examine the detail on the hilt, then slid it out of its sheath to test its weight and check the blade. She hadn't much experience with weapons of any sort, so she sheathed it and instead examined one of the plainer knives for comparison. It didn't take long to tell the blade on the fancy ones were superior. But could she justify the price?
She picked up one of the brass-handled daggers again and lovingly ran a finger along the eye-ridges of the wher. To Peya she said, "These are quite fine daggers indeed, clearly superior in craftsmanship and works of art in their own right. The color quite nearly matches my wher, too." Never mind that brass had more of a yellowish tinge, and her wher was decidedly more of a copper shade. It was gold-ish, and that was enough for comparison. "But I'm afraid it would cost almost all of my coin. I don't suppose you could come down on the price just a little bit?"
Peya accepted the money from Dinah and grinned. "Come to me first next gather," she suggested with a wink. "Feel free to try the knuckles out until you find a set you like.
"Don't worry," this was directed with a little smirk to Arlii as she departed, "there's plenty of that, and of me, to go around. See you later!"
Turning back to Mokah Peya gave a slight shake of her head. "I'm sorry, sugar, but quality costs. I can offer you a drink though but not tonight - I'm already engaged. That dagger comes with a fine sheath too bear in mind, and I guarantee its quality. You have any problems bring it back and I'll make it good as new for you."

Mokah - Peya's stall 1 mark
Mokah gave Peya a polite smile and said, "I'll pass on the drink, thanks," before returning her attention to the dagger. It was a very nice weapon, one she hoped to put to good use. And out of all the items she'd seen so far at the Gather, it was the one she wanted the most. It did leave her with a little to spend, enough for something useful or slightly nice. Or tasty. After spending a moment or two more convincing herself, she said, "Alright, I'll take it then." She pulled out the required marks and handed them over.
"Suit yourself," Peya replied with a little smile, not at all fazed by the polite rebuff. Accepting the marks she nodded to the ornate dagger. "Put it to good use for me, won't you?" She wasn't much of a fighter herself but that didn't mean she disapproved of violence, so long as it was for good reasons.
