Kurogane looked up from the male. It was then that he noticed Stormy had put up a barrier. Why had she done this? Was there a need for it? The black wolf started surveying the area around them subtly. He noticed the wolf from before. The one that had no scent or rather a scent of nature to him. After discovering this wolf, Kuro still wondered why Stormy had placed a shield around them. Suddenly faint chill breezed through. Someone else was there and just as the husky demon processed that much, the other being was gone. Was he dreaming? No, the other being, a wolf as well he assumed, was able to coat the scenery with ice. He was taken aback. However since the other wolf had ran away, he figured that whoever it was, they were not worth him worrying about them at this moment. He had to keep his act up.

Kurogane nudged her slightly. "You've got nothing to worry about." The words came off uneasy only because he was trying to be careful of his wording. He tried to be as kind as possible to her. He was not scared but confrontation was something he tried to avoid for one particular reason only he knew... Kuro looked back up at the wolf on the hill in plain sight. Why was he here Kurogane wondered.

As the chilled wind brushed past the group Salt's mind whirled back to life. It was almost as if faced by the demon his mind just clicked off. He refocused and saw Kuro distracted with Stormy and noticed the strange wolf ontop the hill they spoke about. He watched them a moment and nodded more to himself "I don't want conflict. I'll be the first to admit I can't defeat a full demon, nor do I want to try."

"You'll be a good leader," Kurogane spoke back to the younger wolf. "At least you know what is foolish and what is not. What is your name?" He was not aware of yet another presence approaching. However a small growl did arise from his stomach. He gave an embarrassed smile and decided that he does go hunting. "I'll go get something to eat if anyone is hungry. Or if you would like to come, I won't stop you. Just keep up if you can." He wasn't expecting anyone to go but he didn't mind if he had company. His body began to change and become ghostly as he vanished into his shadow. His shadow then darted of into the direction the icy one's form last was.

Sera stumbled blindly, a combination of the searing pain between her temples and the exhaustion from the long distance she had run. Despite her exertion, the air was freezing in her lungs, making her gasp as they struggled to breathe. A thin pattern of frost had formed over patches of her fur as if she had been in a snowstorm-

Finally she could go no farther; she tripped on a patch of ice that sprouted beneath her feet and went sprawling in the dirt.

What do you want from me? she screamed silently.

From the darkness within her mind came no reply, yet the presence that had so rudely interrupted to her life was still there, like a ghostly weight. Unseen, but felt as clearly as a morning after heavy rain...

At some point she had closed her eyes and she now opened them. The strange feeling of losing control over her body and its new-found abilities had faded and now she just ached all over. With a groan she rolled back onto her stomach and clambered to her feet.

The overwhelming feeling of deathly cold was gone. Never had she thought she would come to fear it. Since she had been a child it had called to her, the water, the frosty air- Somehow to her very core, she had understood it and used it, and it had known her in some mysterious way that stretched far into her soul. But now it was if the element had turned away from her. Had gone silent...

Sera suddenly realized how viciously hungry she was. The sudden expenditure of energy had left her running on empty. Possessed, crazy, or whatever state she was now, she had to find something to eat.

Feeling depressed and frustrated, she reluctantly turned her nose to the air for food. After a few minutes of closed eyed focus, she was rewarded with the smell of a rabbit, not far. She was downwind; should be easy enough. A light snack to hold her over in any case.

Pushing her doubts aside she wearily trotted in the direction of the scent.

Shadow had picked up a scent and followed it finding a gathering of wolves he made his way down the path and stayed a distance away and just watched them his curiosity wasnt that strong to why they were gathered he just watched and waited. "Things are so different now what else has changed?" He was a larger black wolf he didnt care much for pointless crossings and useless actions he just kept watching until finaly his curiosity was peaked and he made his way to the group.

When He saw the female make eye contact his eyes which were completely whit shined and he remained where he was figuring they were on the hunt and felt a tingling inside of him, it had been so long since he last hunted with a pack and in a group he started to follow them keeping a distance but also close enough to keep them in view.

He stopped and said simply "Not too many in your hunting party thought I would lend a hand." He turned to face her and his eyes were completely white. "I don't wish too fight I find unecessary conflict pointless." He was of formidable size but the scar on his right eye stuck out from anything else when he said that.
