I wish I knew more Finnish. Right now, I only understand basic words like please, thank you, yes... that sort of thing. xP
It's weird, I learned how to write and read a lot of Japanese characters, but I still can't grasp Finnish. gonk I guess it's because I can't find a decent way to learn it. I don't even remember exactly how I learned Japanese, actually... xP

Well, they do say that Finnish is a hard language... (and I agree with them)
But learning basic words can't be bad. So, keep going 4laugh It's a good start.

It's so funny to watch Finns talk, though. They just keep babbling on and on. rofl And in the songs that I listen to that are in Finnish, they sound so pretty. I've already learned one, but I'm still working on the other (you know, Ikkunaprinsessa, the one in the other thread).

Hum o.o I only know really basic words too.. like who what where when why him her us they.. dog book.. xD shoe table.. random things like that.. Oh, and how to count.. and colors.. ^^ and random things like that.. <3
As for Finnish bands.. surprised I really like Apulanta.. Uniklubi is neat too..

I found a place: Anyone know how reliable it is? I found a whole bunch of Finnish phrases, but it doesn't tell you how to pronounce them. And I get the feeling that it's missing those dot things over some of the letters. Just a guess. But now I have something to ask the guy at school (if I ever get to know him): Lahdetko ulos kanssani?

(I like them atleast, so you might too..) PMMP, Indica, and Tiktak. surprised And you said you liked metal, right? ^^ Check out Kilpi, and Kotiteollisuus.. hmm.. eMule is a good program that has lots of finnish bands, that I've found so far.. ^^'

I don't know why, but Finland became my dreamland a year ago...
I'm dieing to go there... My friends think I'm crasy. sweatdrop
And I also have some difficulties with learning Suomi by myself...
