damn Kurt Angle for showing everyone a way to counter the triangle without powerbombing out of it......point being, Jarel is unable, especially with a weakened leg, to stop Nuke from pinning his shoulders to the mat.
one....two....thr....
in order to kick out, Jarel releases his attempt at a triangle choke, barely escaping the three count. He begins to get to his feet again, though his difficulty is noticeable thanks to his hurt left leg

Nuke got lucky there, even he could admit that. He scrambles backwards, holding his neck, and grabs hold of the bottom rope closest to him.
The ref comes over to check on him and, upon seeing that he is still fit to compete, awaits the next set of holds and counters that have been predominant in this match.

Now on his feet, Jarel moves towards Nuke, albeit with a limp and looks to grab both of Nuke's legs, then attempt a stomp to the abdomen

Nuke tries to hold on to the ropes but that clearly won't stop Jarel, who stomps through hard in to the gut of Nuke!

Instead of releasing Nuke, Jarel looks to pull him up, using his legs of course, and drop him hard to the mat again

Coughing from the abdomen stomp, Nuke just had no response to Jarel's follow-up move as he is lifted up and slammed down on to the mat. He reaches back and grabs hold of his neck and head, feeling them start to seize up a little.

Jarel has a plan, believe it or not, and it's time for a bit of payback. He looks to drag Nuke back to the center of the ring by his legs and glance out at the crowd. Old school fans cheer as they see what he's going for, attempt to cross nuke's legs over his own and go for a sharpshooter, a move he'd won a couple world titles with in years past

Nuke is dragged across the ring still holding his neck, and too late realises that his legs have been locked over. He immediately attempts to get out of the hold but it's locked in - center of the ring, Damone has Fusion in a painful Sharpshooter!
The pain was excruciating as Nuke clawed at the mat, just trying to gain any inch towards the ropes that he could, the ref in his ear the entire time asking him if he wants to submit.

the crowd is on their feet, hoping that Nuke will tap out to the Dragon. Jarel, meanwhile, can do nothing more than attempt to sit back on the hold, even as nuke attempts to claw to the ropes

The hold really was locked in well, a sublime execution of a classic pro-wrestling submission hold. Nuke was now gaining some ground, and was starting to get to within half an arm's reach of the bottom rope!

Jarel's bum leg perhaps prevents him from holding his ground as well, not that he'll release the hold. He's going to make Nuke claw his way entirely to the ropes.....and then maybe he'll think about letting him out

Nuke squirms and edges forward, occasionally reaching back and grabbing his neck from the pain earlier as well. Then, with one last lunge he managed to reach the bottom rope, gripping on with both hands and forcing the ref to tell Jarel to break the hold.

Jarel doesn't exactly want to release the hold, a bit of payback for his own torment via the ankle lock around the ring post. as such, the ref has to begin his count
one....
two...
three...
four...
Jarel releases the hold finally. After all, he came here to win, not get disqualified. Now he steps back, just a few steps, waiting for Nuke to stand to attempt to send him out over the top rope with a clothesline

There was just no give with this man. Nuke had to struggle through another few seconds of sheer pain before the hold was released.
Using the ropes to get back to his feet, Nuke slowly made it to a standing position.. right before being clotheslined over the top rope! The crowd cheered in elation, loving seeing Jarel take all of the momentum away from Nuke.

Jarel steps out of the ring through the ropes as well. a count out didn't suit him either, but he was right at home outside of the ring. Waiting for the Nuclear God to stand, he would attempt to lift the smaller man up in a military press, only to drop him across the security barricade
