Bullseye's response was a low snarl, the Tala making no other actions. Smith was going to pay when he got free....ohhhhh yes.

Smith took of his glasses and set them down. "Well now, let me say this, you are quite the fighter. I am indeed impressed." Smith moved closer to Bullseye and looked up at him, "I am in need of your brute strenth Bullseye. And with that I will give you whatever you want as payment." He spoke bluntly with Bullseye, nothing like how he spoke with Cypher.

"I don't play well with others..." Bullseye growled down at Smith, eye twitching. "I'm happy I impress you, but I prefer staying a loner, thanks."
In some nearby bushes, a small rustle could be heard. Cypher, fresh from his meeting with John and Jane, was 'hiding' out there. He was of course drawn to report back to his master, but his failure made him rather reluctant to show his face.

"Is that so...a shame really." Smith let Bullseye go and began to walk back to his waterfall cave. "You'll be seeing more of me Mr. Perfect Aim, expect that!"

"Oh I look forward to that............not." Bullseye let Smith go with a warning snarl before going over to his rock and flopping down onto it to reflect back on today's events.
Cypher meanwhile, slowly came out of the bushes and followed along behind Smith, tail tucked and ears flat.

Smith could hear Cypher behind him..."You failed didn't you?" Smith sounded more dissapointed than angry at this point.

"Yes...." Cypher whined a bit, head lowering. "I'm sorry sir.....I tried!"

Smith was too busy plotting his next move to bother with Cypher's failure. "Catch us fish, I don't care how long it takes you, but if you don't bring back enough there will be punishment."
Upon reaching the cave Smith re-lit the fire and laid back in his spot thinking about today's results.

"Yes sir..." Oh great, he'd have to try and catch fish now?? Once back at the cave, Cypher squirmed out of his coat before diving into the river in an attempt to get fish. Flailing around in the shallow water however, was a horrible method of fishing.
It was quite some time before he even caught anything, and the only thing he had managed to come back with was a rather small fish. To him however, it was huge, but to an adult sized Tala like Smith it'd seem pretty puny. Shivering, the pup dragged the fish into the cave, coat resting on his back.

He stared at the fish Cypher brought in in disbelief. "That's it? You're horrible at everything you try you worthless pup!" Smith stood up, quickly left the cave, and used his batch of tentacles as a net he caught seemingly enough fish to feed a small army. Dragging in the haul he dropped it near the fire and stared at Cypher, "Learn to do this, and because of your failure to catch our food, you must cook every single one of these fish, understood?"

"But I...." Whimpering, Cypher sat within the cave as Smith carted in his haul. "I tried....I've never fished before!" The pup timidly approached the fire, eyeing all the fish. "Okay....." Nudging the first of many fish to the fire, Cypher poked at it a bit, trying to remember how John and Jane had cooked back home.

"You need to start pulling your weight around here! I won't tolerate failure!" He laid back down in his spot and watched Cypher as he cooked every last fish.

Cypher was silent, too frightened to speak, and too busy attempting to figure out how to cook.
Half of the pile ended up rather burnt, but after a while the pup got the hang of it. By the time he got to the end of the pile, the fish were turning out perfect, and Cypher himself was rather hungry. As he nudged the final fish into the 'done' pile, Cypher looked over to Smith, ears perked slightly for what he hoped would be praise.

Smith snagged a fish from the 'done' pile with one of his tentacles and took a bite. "Not bad. You wasted a lot of fish though. But you did good, go on and eat now, then go to bed." Smith ate a few more fish then went into his all too familiar stand-by mode and began his plotting once more.

Tail wagging, the pup grinned for the first time in a while. "Thank you sir!" After eatting a few fish of his own, Cypher let out a long yawn. Padding over to his chain, the pup put it back on before curling up next to the fire for a nice night's rest.
