Illo began to laugh easily. It was a genuine laugh, not some fronted confidence.
"Well-that's the funny thing of it," He said after a moment. "-I don't know any of that. Really, your machines got to me before I could even learn their name. I was just fortunate enough to see the swamps around me before I was confronted." He paused, he was thinking each word out as he said them so that the scripts both mental and physical were in alignment.
"It's true, Shinigami-sama sent me here to check you guys out. But it seems like you're the ones asking all the questions, if you ask me... You mustn't be afraid of me-or are you?" He kept his gaze on the grey one.
"If you have nothing to fear from me, and nothing to learn, and my group is in taters to say the least, then why are you so cautious?"
At this point he turned around, and pretended they weren't there at all. He walked to the back of the cell and began to mummble radical, incoherent rhythms to himself. It was indeed time to get serious. If he was of no more use to them, then he would be dispensed in a moment. He needed to be ready for that. As soon as they opened the screen he would teleport to safety, and if they didn't, he would have to blow the lid off the place.

Athena stared at him for a moment as he spoke though she did not rise to his subtle taunt. "I see. So you know absolutely nothing and are of no use to us. Unfortunately I do not have permission to terminate you on my own authority; I must ask the good doctor for that. I will be back momentarily." Athena turned and walked off, her footsteps fading down the long hallway after a few moments. Bella-Donna watched her leave before turning to look at Misa V2 and Illo. Just then, two of the pod-like spores that hovered around her hovered away to a panel on the far wall, staying by it. Bella-Donna looked at Illo's third eye, then at the spores, then the panel. "I'm going back out on patrol," she told them before she turned away. "Bye-bye Bella!" Misa V2 said, waving to her. "Later," Bella-Donna said as she walked away, heading in a different direction than Athena. Soon her footsteps faded as well.

Illo continued to babble at the back wall. His forhead was beginning to glow brighter as his nonsensical chant sped up. Now he was up to 15%, it won't be long until he was at 20, and his abilities would be out of his control.
He could feel vague shapes moving out and away from where the two were standing, but the screen was still blocking his vision. Through the distortion he could feel something was still there, although he couldn't place it. It seemed to hover back some feet with a hum, like a robotic jellyfish. Whatever they were, they wouldn't survive the explosion to get him out, and neither would Misa.
Misa, how long do you think it'll be before they come back? I need to know. His thoughts were racing around like a boiling lobster.
If he could just get through the screen...
For now he tried to time his power-up with their return. Surely they would kill him, and he would have a surprise waiting for them.

"There might be," Misa told Rei as they continued to move. "I'm sure there's some kind of control device for it inside the labs, though I have no idea where. I'm sure it's very well protected." The creature roared again, shaking the ground as it flew by. It quickly circled around and in a moment it came straight towards them. "Get down!" Called Rielly from behind them as she dove under what looked like a wrecked truck. Misa quickly slid under some kind of ruined shelter and Tessa crawled in after her. "It'll see you if you stay out in the open!"

Illo was containing his rage well. He had a plan, but needed a way to start trouble. Then after a moment he noticed the picture outside the cell becoming clearer. He could see the floating masses, and hopefully could interact with them too.
He concentrated, trying to knock them against the wall, but to no avail. So he tried a different approach. He then focused what energy he could around the screen, projecting an image of an empty cell. If they stay still, they would be invisible, prompting Athena to come back in a hurry.
No, no. I'm not crazy. I just want to get out of here.

As the group hid, the Black Warden flew by, scanning the area once again. Though its light washed over Kaoru in knife form, it didn't seem to react. It continued its scan, barely missing Rei as she huddled against the wall at the last second. The scan hovered back and forth a few times and then with a roar and a beat of its wings it was off again, continuing its patrol. As soon as the monster had flown off, Misa, Tessa and Rielly came out of hiding. They had clearly done this before. The three of them began running towards the main wall where Rei had huddled up against. Misa grabbed Kaoru as she ran by, pulling him out of the wall and bringing him up to the main wall with the rest of them. She tossed him to Rei before looking back to the wall and kneeling down. "Here," she said, pointing to some small, faded white letters painted onto the wall. They read "Access Hatch CF87". "This is where-" Before she could even finish talking, there was a *click* like a lever being pulled and a *woosh* of air as the hatch panel slid back and to the side, revealing someone on the other side.



The girl was kneeling down as well, having just activated the hatch panel from her end. "Good, you guys made it. Quick get in," she told them in a lowered voice as she backed away from the hatch so they could have room to come in. She looked at Rei and Kaoru. "My name is Bella-Donna," she told them. "I'm assuming you're the WeaponMeister team from the DWMA. Your friend is here. He's unhurt but probably not for long. I left him a way to escape but he hasn't used it yet. They're holding him in the prison cell block below the main labs." She waited for them to enter, not wanting to linger out in the open long.
