Nick yawned at Thursday "Hmm.... Your pokemon seems pissed off. Better take care of that mental issue. Nick lowered his voice a little so that he could speak to himself.....If only I wasn't too late..... I wouldn't even be here right now. He returned to his normal speaking voice I'll be seeing you soon Nancy." Nick summoned spiritomb, he and all of his pokemon melded into the shadows disappearing.
Meanwhile.....
Matt look up as it started to rain, he pulled up his cowl and said "I think this is where we part ways, I know your team is incomplete but I need to check on....things. You know how my dad's a scientist right? Well you see these eyepieces, I suspect Team Gamma stole his research. It's something like an upgraded pokedex, it records and analyzes all data on pokemon, it has a log for every pokemon it has recorded and its moveset. Just portray that you're playing gameboy pokemon, the health meter, level, gender and stats are shown. It is very expensive thats why normal goons don't have any." Matt explained his dilema, his dad hasn't been heard of for a couple of days. With pokemon experimenting going on Matt feared the worst.
Meanwhile....
There was a metal slab with an eerie creature on it, it looked half-human and half...........dito, like something from a horror movie it always had a creator. Scientists were scurrying inside and outside of the room, one scientist called for Dr. Tenebrae on the intercom Dr. Tenebrae, you are needed at Lab A Section 2. Apparently only Team Gamma Personel were the only ones who could hear the message. Nick walked into the lab Ah Nick, we have just completed a huge problem, now the subject can revert back to its original form from the transformation, now our grunts can change into their other half it will. Nick could careless but he was an important person in Team Gamma so he listened to his rambling. Chambers were filled with mutants, the one in the center seemed like a Mewtwo, the one in the legend but somehow altered.

Dr. Tenebrae answered and a chilling smile spread across his face. He had to change the Trick room setup to allow him to reach the Lab though so he grabbed a few idle goons to accompany him, just in case. He hummed as he strolled through the myriad passages... and right past Apollo and his loyal friends. May tried hiding behind Neku but no one was fooling the doctor.
"You there!" Dr. Tenebrae released his Porygon again. "You will not interfere with my data."
The goons prepared to fight too. (So that I only have to focus on one character's pokemon against the mad scientist while the rest take out the generics.)
"Man, that's..." Kujo was at a loss for words. That was a horrifying thought, that Tenebrae could have his dad or anyone's family hostage really. "Good luck... I'm going to do my best. Tenebrae must be stopped but I need to rest. There anything else I can do for you? You've been helping me and my sister out, there's got to be something."
We need to go talk to more Guardians too. The Unown said.
(I forgot to write in his departure. Oh well, his meeting with Viola and Ranei was not necessarily at the same time as him being here.)
Thursday squeaked out a profanity in pokemon speak.
Nancy and Claves left the entrance. There was no way Nancy was going in without fully healed pokemon and some revives.
Nancy nodded. "Yeah, I'm going to check back with the police station to give them more exact directions and a warning then I'm going to the Pokecenter. I... I need to make a few calls." she sniffed. "I saw him crying so I thought... If he was there because of family being threatened or something why would he be such a... such a jerk? I shouldn't have gone into battle this upset. Take care Claves. Thanks for being a good friend to a fellow trainer." Nancy reached for her X-Transceiver and found the "Home" contact. "I'll call you if I find any more hideouts that need to be blown up with angry voltorbs, okay?"
Darn dramatic weather was not helping her mood either. The coat was waterproof but no hood was a pain.
Neku, Apollo and Kenji would be the ones battling. Apollo led with Gibby his Gabite. Kenji led with Charmander. Neku tossed out Mach his Machoke. " Before we battle I have a deal. If we win you let us out, if we lose we stay here, forever." Apollo proposed. He was pretty confident in himself and Kenji, and this was a perfect time to see this Neku guy's strength. " Don't make a deal you can't keep!!" Kamina shouted, "Helpfully" from the side. " They're gonna win, don't worry." Lucina said to Kamina. " Yeah believe in them." Iris said.

"Yay! We're going to beat the bad guys!" May sent out Banana, her Minun against a Goon's Emolga.
Tenebrae frowned a little seeing he'd be up against three trainers at once. Oddly he kept only his Porygon 2 out which should have raised a red flag. "You are mistaken little girl, you don't have a prayer as long as I am in charge here. You are too unobservant to take out the generator gems. I'll have to make this quick seeing as it eats psychic gems... Data, Agility. System: Activate setup P." He had 15 minutes left of gem power but had to gloat anyway.
The walls shimmered and holograms were replaced by different walls. Data dove into the floor and Tenebrae stepped backwards into what should have been a solid wall. It was easy to venture a guess as to why he'd named the layout for the trickroom setup P, Data had access to an unfair stat boost here and could be anywhere.
With luck the pokemon would have to hold back to avoid hitting allies in the confusion created by the goons. One other goon was using a porygon to take advantage of the setup and Tenebrae was observing from a separate room accessible only by navigating clockwise.
"Lock on: Machoke. Prepare the beam."
Data used lock on from his hiding place in the south wall but could not remain hidden forever, he had to emerge to fire the psybeam at the machoke. ♪
(All three of them against Tenebrae defeated the purpose of the generic goons. I'll just give him +35 terrain advantage. I'd forgotten they actually found Neku's pokemon somewhere, it must have been storage near their prison.
Porygon2 is holding a leppa berry, level 41, and has psybeam, agility, conversion, and lock on. Ability is download. Be very afraid. I need to make the movesets for the rest of his pokemon too.
Nick walked out of the lab and saw Dr. Tenebrae battling 3 trainers "Do you need any assistance Dr. Tenebrae? Is there anything I can do? Nick asked gingerly, he leaned on the door as he watched Dr. Tenebrae perform his work. Nick looked at his 6th pokeball with content, what was he going to do with it. He then released Meta and gave him a rare candy, surprisingly he Meta started to glow. Meta just evolved into a metagross. Nick recalled Meta and sighed, he was so bored battling seemed boring. He layed down with his head being supported by the door.

Mach was on guard waiting for what was coming. Neku would give him the word of when to dodge. Apollo had Gibby use Dual chop on a goon's Golem. Kenji had Rush, his Charmander, use Scrath on a goon's Zangoose. " Where could his pokemon be hiding?" Neku asked himself.
(Is Nick doing the villain stuff because he's bored or because his dad was kidnapped? Is Nick Elite four material now in less than 100 posts? Is Nick actually Gary Oak in disguise?! Did Mach dodge?!)
The Porygon2 gave a frustrated little snarl at missing then melted back into the wall. Five seconds later he reappeared, this time on the ceiling and fired another psybeam at the back of the Machoke's head.
"Well.... I do want to go see the latest at the lab. Would you mind distracting them while I go there? If Data faints, call me and I will adjust protocol for your Metagross." Dr. Tenebrae left the security room humming and abandoning his pokemon to fight without direction, the jerk. "Sit upright too, we fired a girl yesterday for such behavior. Keeping your wits about you will prevent unpleasant surprises."
It will only take two minutes, reasoned Tenebrae. He also planned on getting footage from the door camera. The data readout on his computer told him there had been an attempt at intrusion.
Nancy left Claves and trudged back to the Pokecenter. Even though it was only mid-afternoon she felt drained enough to sleep until morning but felt that would be unwise. She paid a visit to the nurse at the counter who asked questions about the girl's well-being which were dodged and ducked verbally by Nancy. She didn't feel like pouring her heart out to more complete strangers today, she'd met the quota for that already. Marple was retrieved from the PC box before heading for the stairs.
Once in the rented room she released her pokemon and booted up her email account while talking to her team. They just listened, Emerson knew exactly what was happening. Nancy talked to get everything out and sort her thoughts but the others were just puzzled as to why she was asking them all these difficult questions.
Then she called the police station and her parents as planned. She was too tired to argue with the inspector and took his word that the problem was being taken care of. Her parents were unfortunately worried and demanded she come home immediately, they didn't know about the Darkrai and she'd left out some of the details that were similarly unbelievable or outright dangerous.
Once that was over she began an exhaustive search for information: Nick was wrong about her slacking off. She was hunting and dozed off at the keyboard which meant her pokemon had to drag her over to the bed so she wouldn't sleep on the floor.
She'd found news articles pertaining to the work of Nick and Matt's parents. Suspicious activity reports. Tabloids looking for legendary pokemon that didn't really exist. Odd little coincidences.
She'd found ideas.
(I think I'll drop the annoying commentary question barrage in the future.)

Mach took the hit on the back of the head. He fell on his face. " Mach!!" Neku shouted then looked at where the shot came from. The pokemon was gone. Neku was angry now. " The only reason you're winning is because you're hiding , if you play fair I guarantee I'll win!!" He said, as his Machoke got up. Apollo and Kenji finished off the rest of the goons. The only enemy that was left was Data. The boys figured that if all of them were paying attention they could take it. They waited for the next strike.
Data tentatively stuck his head out of the west wall to see what was going on and to use Lock-On on Mach again. The Porygon2 realized he was looking right at Banana and Banana was looking back so he beat a hasty retreat before he could get a chance to use lock-on.
Seeing as Banana was currently trying to electrocute the wall he'd been in, he tried the floor behind Banana and had to be visible for 3 seconds to properly lock onto the target.
Aim and....

Tenebrae was doing his best Mad Scientist cackle as he looked at the ditto person with glee. The other scientists felt a little worried about this except for two in the corner who were taking bets as to how many minutes it would take for the Doctor to stop cackling.

Just as the Porygon shot the beam Gibby jumped in front of Mach, and took the hit. Then Rush used ember and shot a small ball of fire at the Porygon. Ineffective, maybe, but if they keep it up eventually the porygon will faint. " Thanks." Neku said. " No problem." Apollo said, as they waited for the next strike.
Data found himself on the receiving end of a face full of fire which is not pleasant for a normal type pokemon. Should he use Conversion2? "Pory? Porygon?" he inquired looking for his trainer but found Matt instead. Oh well. Tenebrae trusted him to do this.
Data tried the same tactic again thinking that they would not expect him to appear in the same place twice in a row. Unfortunately the little girl named May was not to that point of logic yet and was watching the spot convinced Data would appear again and Data got quick attacked for his trouble.
Data then tried a different spot on the ceiling to use Psybeam from.

" It's getting weaker guys!" Kenji said. Gibby awaited for the psybeam to be launched at Mach. If Gibby wasn't there Mach would've fainted by now. " There!!" Neku said, pointing to the ceiling where Data was. Gibby jumped in for Mach taking the hit again. Rush used ember again just as planned. " Please hit!" Kenji shouted hopefully.
Data disliked the fire to the face and didn't feel any better about it the second time around. He ducked back then reappeared at another wall and fired a psybeam indiscriminately to avoid having to take time to aim.
This was also a target rich environment.

Nick did a situp "Yeah yeah boss." He threw out Quagy, that moment Quagy used Earthquake. The entire hallway began to shake, every pokemon was damaged by it. Nick gingerly stood up, recalled Meta and walked his way around the wall by taking a left and eventaully flanking them while Quagy followed. He peered around the corner and saw their team of pokemon "You guys don't seem that strong. Wanna battle me?" Nick asked, it was odd for a villain to ask so politely. Apparently Nick wanted a three-on-one, but he's done worse before.
All the pokemon out took damage. Kenji's charmander took the most though. " Sorry but they're kind of in the middle of something." Lucina told Nick. " Yeah so if you could-There!!" Kenji said. As Data popped it's head out of the ceiling. This time Gibby went in for the final move. He used dragon rush. " Where'd that jerk go?" Apollo asked himself. Gibby walked over to the Machoke. " Gab?" Gibby asked. " Mach." Machoke told him. " Now back to our escape problem." Kamina said. " How're we supposed to get out of here?"
