((... wink I want to make a joke about Gatz esspecially wanting to run survelence on a few "private areas" he can think of xd --but I understand your point. I'll try to remember the next time I think about trying something like that. 3nodding ))

Day 2. 9 Days Remain. Quint woke up, a piece of paper stuck to his face. He had fallen asleep at his desk again. Taking it off, he quickly tossed it into the trash after seeing the decent amount of drool on it. Quint did the essentials; took a shower, brushed his teeth, ate breakfast. He didn't see much of anything he wanted to do, so calling his bats, which were at the time playfully fighting near the ceiling, he left his room. It wasn't really a question of where he was going, because that had already been decided. It was what he was going to do that day. There were only days left until the biggest fight of his life, so for right now he would live like there was no tommorow. The sun was bright; there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Quint's wings stretched out, and off he was. Before he thought about it, he was already past the Akumu Forest. "I wonder what's going on.."

Morrigan had not returned home after she had left Quint's suite. In fact, she had left the island, hoping to find Quint's monster to see for herself. It wasn't hard; she had a general idea of what direction to head in from the information Quint had displayed to her; after that, she simply followed the trail of smoke and destruction.
Morrigan saw entire cities had been evacuated along the way there in preparation for the monster's attack. Apparently, they had wisely assumed that it was traveling in a straight line, and was continuing to do so.
With this kind of reasoning, the island itself should be receiving some kind of evacuation notice soon.
As dawn was breaking, Morrigan could see Quint's monster from her position in the clouds. It had taken her all night to get there, but the view was worth it. She saw that the military was no longer attempting to directly confront it, opting instead to fire artillery shells at it from long distances on either side of it's assumed path, ceasing fire as it entered a city and resuming as it left on the other side. Even without the military bombardment in the city, the monster left it looking like a war zone.
Morrigan thought she would smile when she saw the wreckage it was capable of. Instead, she just stood there, hovering in the air, and watched in awe.

As it moved from town to town, Fluffy thought about the many ways he could kill Quint. Simply eating him was too boring, but steaming off his flesh one limb at a time sounded like a fantastic idea to the behemoth. It moved through the city slowly, mouth salivating, causing the very rocks beneath him to dissolve.
Once leaving the city's limits, a sudden barrage of shells and grenades came upon him, courtsey of the military. Fluffy didn't even flinch; it had been done plenty of times before, and while he used to retaliate, he figured that now they were firing on him just for the satisfaction of doing it, as if they were getting something done. The troops stopped their fire, waiting for the next city he would go to. A city ahead of his projected travel was already evacuated, and it was repopulated by the military, who would wait. And fail.
A lake now lied out before Fluffy, the distance between him and Quint only about 140 miles of water and land. The first steps into the water caused a bit of alarm in the beast, but as he submerged himself into the salty ocean, he felt almost at home. Though he couldn't swim, and quickly sank, his body not only didn't need to breathe, it also didn't have real "organs" to need to keep at a certain pressure. He attempted to swim with the wildlife, but they all wouldn't even get close, opting to run at first sight. So alone he went, at the bottom of the lake, thinking that every step he took was one closer to the person that would end his torment.

Quint's phone ran. It was Gatz, calling to see how things were coming along with the plan. As the alchemist didn't seem to be in at the moment, the head of security left a message asking Quint to call him back.

Quint unlocked the door to his room, this time greeted by his answering machine's steady beeps. Hearing the message from Gatz, Quint gave the number that was stored a call.
The phone rang as Quint walked to his computer..
