Minerva slunk into the dark hole feet first. She landed with a splash in two feet of water. "How nice and lovely," she groaned and grabbed a set of night vision goggles from her bag.
The tunnel twisted and turned, disguised as a normal sewer, if a person did not know what signs too look for. Minerva followed along the path, reading numbers and small codes hidden in the brickwork of the tunnel.
She found the door after half an hour of searching, as she suspected it was sealed shut. The defences of the base had been activated and the doors were melded closed. She started pulling out her equipment, it would probably take a good day's work just to get open the entrance, then she'd have to overide the defense system to unlock the rest of the doors inside.

Minerva hung up the phone after Blitz called, and slipped it back into a holster on her belt.
The front of the base had a nice, perfectly round hole in the door, the sides of it still smoldering. She picked up her equipment and walked in, being careful not to set off any of the defence systems, before she got to a computer.

Minerva finished typing the override codes into the console, the ones she had conveniently stolen, along with a few other things, when her commanding officer had been killed by a group of villains. She smiled as the defence system cleared, and she shut off the innerlocks, keeping her from moving throughout the base.
She then activated the sercurity cameras, checking everything out before she went anywhere. She looked over the rooms, pausing at one when she noticed a young girl in a life support tube. "hmm, that's new."

Minerva pulled up the girl's records on the computer, and scanned them. "A Super/Demonic breed, eh Miss Laurel? I can see why they were studying you." She typed in the commands to wake the girl, knowing it would take at least 24 hours to do bring her fully out of the induced coma, at least 24 hours to avoid shock to the system. "It would have been safer for you to leave you in there, kid, but your powers can be useful."

Laurel awakened in the dark. Normally, this wouldn't bother her, since she could see in the dark, but there was nothing to see - just darkness, and a sense of being enclosed...

Minerva walked into the containment room and started draining the storage device. "Waking up, are you?" She tapped the glass quietly. "good morning, sunshine. Here I'll play some music for you. It'll help your mind focus." Minerva plugged in a CD player and pushed play. "Dream a Litte Dream" Started sounding throughout the whole base.
"...stars shining bright above you. Night breezes seem to whisper 'I love you.' Birds singin in the Sycamore tree, dream a little dream of me."
Minerva whistled to the song as she leaned a chair against the wall, planning to read a booke while she waited.
