Xver sighed lightly and didn't really even look at Leumas "Kiki is right... I would have left him for dead..." he replied without any real care for his words. The man continued to lean on the wall "You still don't understand me though." he added as if sarcasm. He just seemed to lean against the wall after that, as if nothing had just happened at all.

Pelleas coughed as he stopped and then fell on his knees. He clutched his throat. He was surprised he was alive, frankly. He looked at the others.
"I...thank you..." he said, breathing deeply. "I...apologize...I'm sorry...the man had power over m actions..in truth, I never wished to fight you or your kin..." he said, staying down.

Xver nodded to Pelleas "You're welcome... stay around as long as you want... just don't get in my way." he responded coldly. He just shrugged at Leumas afterwards. He tossed her a packet of money that he had in reserve "Get yourself a drink..." he muttered to her, then turned to Kiki. He looked at her with a neutral expression "Are you okay?" he asked, his words showed worry, though his expression was monotone.

Leumas said, sounding offended, but took the money anyway
"I won't be helping this guy, though; I don't appreciate getting whipped unless it's in the bedroom."
She said, referring to Pelleas as "this guy" and smirking at the last part.
"He forgot about the other admirer pretty quickly..."
She muttered under her breath as she re-entered the tavern and ordered some whiskey.

Xver's eyes suddenly widened when he saw Kiki with a bottle of water "What is that!?" he asked with some surprise. What are you doing to him? Don't shove liquids down his throat!" he said in a rather alarmed voice. Water didn't really exist naturally on Aetes, and while there were a few alcohol beverages in Aetes, they looked very different form water.

Xver let out a sigh "I don't trust stuff like that..." he muttered. He stayed against the wall afterwards, he didn't want to really talk to either Kiki or Pelleas. He just stayed out of it, he didn't want to get involved at all. He had even lost interest in their conversation after the water.
