Selene could have scooted up and smacked Rengath for such a comment, but she remained where she was, her bubbly demeanor dampened by his answer. "You should, Rengie. Cricket's not forward at all. In fact, she and I just came over here to talk to you.. civilly. That's all." She looked up at Cricket, her smile pursed on her lips. "Right, Crickie?"

Selene received a polite greeting from a boil leaving, and she offered a quick wave to him, before hearing her name called. My, what a busy day! "Yes, dear?" She murmured quietly, looking interested in how she could help the lovely boil. "And oh, another note?" Selene eyed the second boil warily, making an unhappy sound. "What does this one say?" She couldn't help but be intrigued, now.. but she still didn't know if she wanted to touch it.

Sin noticed she didn't want to take the note. What does this one say? Well, the note was filled with a few lines of romantic poem, disgusting enough with few lines, but it's hard to see what does it said exactly.

Should he lie to make her intriguing? Or tell her the truth would be better?

But one thing was clear, he'd better not to tell it was filled with some terrible romantic poem.

Hard to decide lie or not, but he determined to tell the truth to her.

"Well, I don't know, in fact. I can't read them whole."

The noise didn't help him feel much better about having to read it, but it wouldn't hurt her. As he finished she seemed... confused more than anything. He let her take it and shook his head lightly. "I believe... he wrote it. Before stopping the tree." He replied slowly, then looked to the other student who seemed to be having some trouble with their note. It couldn't be that confusing?

He watched at the teacher gingerly took it and moved to hand it off to the one who seemed to be in charge of the booth. Yes, she definitely didn't want them. "I think... he likes you?" He replied in regards to her question of the notes not being frightening. Honestly, if he was going to send poetry to someone, he would only do so if he liked the individual, so... wasn't that the most plausible thing?

Though being liked by a teacher who watched students be bludgeoned probably wasn't the best of things.

Selene's eyes rolled and her lips pursed tightly. "He does not like me. He likes scaring me. It's not nice, he is not a nice man! He should be.. out there scaring the humans - and even then, using gentler methods than the ones he uses on me! Always hiding under my bed and in my shadows and.. and.. he does not like me!"

Selene's head ducked down and she backed away, stumbling against the desk behind her and then continuing until she was behind Rengath. Here, she could hide from the embarrassment in peace. And in a few moments, she would be glad she did.

Rengath's reading of the prose was breathtaking. She always knew he was good, but Rengath read to her in a way that had her gasping for air. It was the most beautiful, romantic reading she'd ever heard, and she looked absolutely entranced, until it all came crashing down when reality hit.

".. That is not for me."

Selene's voice was tiny, and hard to hear. She backed away from Rengath, her hands pressed against her mouth.

"That is not for me."

Her entire body shivered as a sob broke out over this cruel, cruel joke. To hear those words, words she would have loved to be meant for her, those provocative, heart-wrenching words of love, but from him, from him -

"That.. is not.." Selene's choked sob broke free one last time, and she turned to run. It did not work out in her favor, as usual - she tripped on her own clumsy feet, faceplanted into the ground, and stayed there, flat and twitching.

The teacher's response surprised him a bit as she went on about how cruel the man was. Well, in truth he wouldn't put it past that teacher. After all, well... while he had saved him. He was less than pleasant about it. Probably his job to try and keep the students from dying in the forest as he was letting them in. So perhaps she was right. "I wasn't aware." He stated, a bit surprised. Couldn't... some of those things be caused by infatuation? Depending on what the shadowy man did next. He sort of seemed to be stalking her. Though he knew better than to say more at this point.

Especially with how she then seemed to flee from him, to which he merely watched and ended up looking behind him due to. He was now frightening? Or perhaps X was behind him? No, the man certainly wasn't there so...

Eyes fell back on the shorter woman just in time to watch her reaction as the teacher began to recite the second, far better written, letter. Apparently he didn't just write them when students were about to be eaten. She seemed quite left breathless by the sweet words, until she came back to reality. Right, that was from X. Her reaction might have been comical if not for it being a bit sad. And then the attempt at escape as the other teacher spoke up. Which didn't go so well.

...

He stood watching her a moment before taking a few steps over to hold out a hand tentatively to help her up. "He is right. Even if the attention is not as kind." He paused after a moment, before attempting to offer a weak, pathetic smile to the poor shaken woman. It was partially his fault. "I apologize for bringing such a thing." He couldn't offer much more though, what was done was done. It was her problem or sorts.

When she saw the hand being offered, she took it, and pulled herself up. Her face was red, from both an embarrassed blush as well as the slam of her face against the ground. She rubbed her nose with one hand, and patted her clothing clean, shaking her head at the boil.

"It'sssss not your fault.." Her voice, shaky and quiet, had regained it's hissing stutter. She couldn't take in what was going on, anymore. It was starting to break her. "I know he pays attention to me.. but that's because.. he likes to see me cry.. I know it is." She didn't know what to think anymore, but no one could prove her wrong, so she stuck to what she had believed all along.

And not that frightening little fluttering feeling that pretty words always made her feel. It wasn't proper to feel that, especially since X was probably just enjoying a new way to torment her. Much like Cricket said she was doing with Rengath!

Selene sniffed, just once, and then ducked to hide under her hood, while folding the two notes up very tightly and putting them away where she couldn't see them anymore. "People can be so cruel with lonely hearts."

The chocolate he got from Rengath was tasty, AJ wondered if the Professor will allow him to get more. The desk was now much more tider than before, probably some students helped too.

AJ went to the desk and decided to take several boxes of chocolate than the Professor seemed not liking. It cleared another portion of the desk, at least he got some spaces to write his work on now.
