Danny nodded quickly and then picked Gene up and threw the ghost ghoul over her shoulder. "Okay bye Mot!!"
And then they were off.

Harrison scowled and punched the button with his thumb again.
"Come on, Machine," he growled at it, trying to distract himself from the feelers, which were still ramrod-straight.

"It's no going to be much better you know." Rep offered, eyeing the meter. "Though wow. You got a high one this time...does that mean your face is as good looking as my a**?" He gave him a ridiculous grin.
"Maybe its your fancy headgear."

Harrison scowled deeper, "Maybe it was you fiddling with it."
Something about this machine was screwy. He waited for it to meter out a differential.
"Well hot damn," Harrison said with a toothy grin, "Looks like we're barely qualified as compatible."
High five.

Gabriel might have been bouncing Sibyl on his back when he walked into this next booth, not really paying attention to what the booth itself was about so much as how funny the sounds Sibyl made when she got bounced was. It was kind of ridiculous, and it had him trying really hard not to laugh out loud. He slowed to a stop in front of the booth, and bent in to let her get a look. "Wanna play this game? Looks pretty harmless." Gabby wasn't reading the rules very well. Shhh.

It was pretty much guaranteed every time Sibyl was bounced she squealed, clinging to Gabriel and laughing each time. It was like she had completely forgotten about the last booth. Good, because it wasn't her favorite. She clung to his back as he leaned in, reading over the rules. For science? She didn't really know anything about science. But she liked affection! She was dynamic! She was all these things! Yes! "Let's do it!" She released Gabriel to slide off his back, waiting for the boil to tie Mr. P's leash to a post or something before she led him over to stand under the domes. So what was going to happen? Would it be super awesome? Would it prove they were going to be best friends forever? Because that much was clearly obvious. Sibyl didn't need a silly machine to tell her that! This booth definitely had her approval more than the last one did.

Gabby had just finished tying the leash off when Sibyl was already in the contraption, and he almost tripped trying to get in before the timer went off and she went through it alone. He barely made it in time, wincing at the flash, before the numbers started showing up on their screens. He looked at his, then hers, and made a humming noise. "We're pretty close." He murmured, though his voice soured at the end. "Don't know why you got the higher number, though..." Everything was a competition to Gabby. Everything.BY THE POWER OF SCIENCE! Andrew was walking by when the Beeb started nawing on his shoe. He frowned at the thing. "Stop it!" he grumbled and kicked it off. What was with the lizard?
He looked up at the booth and sighed at the contraption. "I don't suppose it would work with us lizard thing? I'd show you that we don't work."

It had become wandering and people gazing time again, a few games had been played - some more successful than others - and a new friend had been made. Olivia had wanted a little more to do, playing at the booths actually was rather fun.
But now she found herself back at the wondrous machine that gave readings and the sort. The one time she had done it hadn't told her the greatest of results, but that hadn't deterred her in the least. It was more fun watching it work than anything but now she didn't have anyone to try it with.
She spotted him out of the corner of her eye. Talking to the small little lizard creature by his side. Could she? She didn't know. They didn't have to get close for this to work after all. With a little hesitation, Olivia made her way over to Andrew and stopped a few feet away from him.
"Would.. you like to see it work?" Blunt and to the point. Good going Olivia.

Huh? He glanced at Olivia. When had she? Oh oh well. "Sure we can do it together." he shrugged and stepped up onto the machine. He stared at it watching the numbers. The beeb sat there, watching. Perhaps in jealousy. Perhaps that was it's natural stare.

It made her glad, if not very awkward, that he had accepted the offer to go into the machine. Perhaps it would lift his spirits up - or crush them to fine dust if they didn't turn out right, and he took it a little seriously like some of the other students. (He was also doing her a favor of letting her see it in action).
Careful of where she stepped, and keeping her distance from his tail, Olivia made her way to one of the tube areas of the machine. And once again found herself fascinated by all that it did. All the turning and pinging, all the noises that clattered. It was all so neat.
And it was over so quickly, once again. And the results ... well, weren't that great... again. But, Olivia kept up a happy smile and held it for the boil, who was still some feet away. "Maybe it sees the complications," she said with hope in her voice. She still didn't take too much stock in the numbers.
Maybe it didn't work because she was dead...

They were so close! What did the chart say? Giggling excitedly, Sibyl read it quickly. "'This could be something really good for both of you'. Yaaaaaaay!" She hugged Gabriel for the millionth time in the same day, catching the tail end of his concern then. Eh? Oh, her number..um... "Beeeeeecause...oh! I know! Because I love EVERYONE~!" Sibyl announced proudly, loudly enough for everyone at the booth to hear. Yes! Sibyl loved everyone! That clearly must have been why her number was so high. "But your number's really high too! See? Yay! This means we'll be best friends forever, right?" How could anyone say no to such a happy face?

Jackdamnit, how could he say no to such a happy face? He was legitimately trying to think of any way, any at all, that didn't make him feel like the lowest piece of dirt in existence. There was none. "Yeah." Gabby sighed in resignation, wrapping one arm around her for the first time since she'd met him, in an actual hug. "I guess that's what it means." He murmured, a soft undertone smoothing over his agitation. Still.. even if they were compatible, he couldn't leave things as they were. He had to win.. something.. DAMNIT. He picked her up with the arm around her, and plopped her back in the booth. "One more time. JUST ONE MORE." He was addicted. It was like gambling. Only winning got him nothing. So really, it wasn't. But it was.
