Sigh. Sigh. Her expression became flat, though her tone was still polite as she propped her hands up on her hips. "I don't mean to be rude, sir, but--W-WOAH! Let him go!"
The baku flinched in shock when the smaller ghoul's arms came into her line of vision, her fingers closing around the minipet's neck scruff. She saw the imp swing her hand--the one holding Avery--back, and immediately tried to lunge forward and stop her, one hand reaching for the mini and the other hand trying to close around Popo's wrist.
..."Try" being the keyword here. She tried very hard.
...She wasn't going to even try asking for a balloon agai after this. If his answer magically changed to yes after possibly being flung across the booth, then she would eat her own metaphorical hat.

Avery made one face that clearly said how he felt about the snot nosed brat as she seized him by the scruff.
And though Xiu tried to prevent the ghoul from flinging him across the booth, her attempts were in vain.
He may or may not have hit Vaith in the process.

BOOM BOOM BOOMIt was hard to resist being drawn towards the sound of popping, so Taima didn't bother--after all, if it was something dangerous, more people would be running away from the booth instead of drifting towards it. Probably. This was Amityville, after all. Taima waded through a sea of glaringly pink and sparkly booths until she found the source of the noise. There didn't seem to be anyone there aside from other students and some minipets, who seemed to be both angry and as in charge as tiny, adorable poofballs could be. It was easy enough to figure out the point of the game after watching others play it for a moment, and Taima picked up some darts, aiming carefully before throwing them.

Poppy watched him fly across the sky, like a majestic flying... thing. Yes.. she had won this fight. Balloon or no balloon. She had won.  Aw Hell yes, she knocked out a reaper in the process. Popo pumped both fists high in the air, a look of pure pride and determination on her tiny yet stern face.

BOOM BOOM BOOM At least her last attempt had earned her a few points, but as she finished up her turn, Astra heard the commotion behind her and when she looked to see what was happening, she squeaked out of surprise. Another student (who may or may not have been short then her, holy jack!), was throwing the minipet professor.
...Well, either she was being very brave, or very stupid. And while a prank was always fun, it wasn't very good when you were in plain sight and could be identified. Especially by a professor. And professor Red too.
Astra decided to take her leave because, she didn't want to be around for the fallout

There may have been a whistle of appreciation behind Popo, as a short bandaged student stood watching the show. He was trying to pop balloons but stopped halfway, distractedly resuming with only half of his attention.

Just as she saw Avery fly out of Popo's grasp, she heard familiar, merry laughter behind her. Scowling, she turned to face Vaith, and was in the midst of holding a finger up and scolding him about how this wasn't funny when the reaper was suddenly nailed in the head by the minipet. The only thoughts that resounded through Xiu's mind at the moment was a very loud, JACK DAMNIT.
She scrambled to catch him, her legs buckling beneath his weight as she tried to keep her unconscious friend upright. Unfortunately, the baku's small stature made it hard to do so, and she struggled to prevent Vaith from slipping out of her grasp while she herself began to sink lower and lower beneath his weird. It slowly began to feel like her only options were either to let Vaith thus to the ground or be crushed beneath him.
..................Or she could maybe throw him onto Avery and hope that he broke his fall--no. No, that was terrible.
In the end, she just stood there and slooowly began her descent onto the ground as she tried to figure out what to do. Meanwhile. the little imp who had caused all of this trouble was unhelpfully standing off to the side in a victory pose.
...
She turned to eye the mini. "Still alive?"

Out of extreme consideration, the nameless student kicked Vaith promptly off the poor ghoul who was trying to carry him before the ghoul's legs buckled in the end.

He sort of look like he knew Vaith by the way he kicked him. Or not.

She smirked and gave a thumbs up the the unknown boil who'd approved her antics. Ah.. sweet chaos all around. Popo stretched and yawned, her hands then coming to rest on her slim hips. Time to blow this popcicle stand.
