Alright, time for the next dance. This one was a little more upbeat, so Artemis leaned forward, eager to see what the contestants might display of their talents this time around.

    ---

What...in the wide, green world was that? She hadn't scored them favorably in the first round, true, but to be honest, she'd not paid much attention to their dancing anyway. This time...it was hard not to pay attention...though it was like a natural disaster: painful to watch, but impossible to look away. As Eros proceeded to drop on the floor and have a fit, Artemis dropped her head into her hands. In an effort to make it stop, she grabbed one of the numbers from the bottom of the pile and quickly held up a 4 for Eros and Diona. "Please, just...let's get on with this," she muttered, still shielding her eyes.

    ---

"Beautiful cha-cha!" Artemis applauded, the next couple having finished their performance. "You both moved so smoothly together, I was reminded of a school of fish, swimming in perfect unison. Despite swift currents and quick changes of direction, always moving together as if one." Then, she paused, a more serious look. "However, I'm afraid you seemed to lose the tempo. While you were in sync with one another, you lost the music. You have such potential. Just pay more attention to your surroundings and perhaps a little less attention to one another. Just a little," she chuckled, holding up a 5 for Anteros and Yukiko.

    ---

Artemis rested her chin in her hand. The pair had started out well enough, bur, for some reason they were failing to hold her attention. Shame; this was supposed to be a pretty exciting dance. "I'm sorry, dears, but I'm just not...feeling it," she shrugged, holding up a 3 for Himeros and Lemon Hearts. "Maybe you'll have better luck with the next dance choice."

    ---

A dramatic contrast to their previous performance, Artemis had to cringe watching Pothos and his partner this time around. Whatever had happened with that other girl out on the floor had the Erote completely off-kilter. "Pothos, dear," she started, fixing her kin with a keen stare. "I'm not sure what just happened, but you're off your game. Get your head back in the competition, or you're going to be letting your lovely partner down. Don't do that." With that, she held up a 4 for Pothos and Prisma, then waved her hand for the next couple.

    ---

Hmm...the lovely young female seemed to be trying her best, but overall, the pair's performance wasn't exactly wow-ing this judge. Still, they were trying, and they weren't doing anything blatently horrible...unlike some of the pairs. With a sigh, Artemis held up a 6 for Dylo and Iris Topaz, stifling a yawn. "Perhaps, add a little personality to your performance? Put those flattery skills to use, Dylo," she urged, hoping it'd draw him out of his shell a bit.

    ---

Hmm...the lovely feminine pair had started out well, but Artemis began to loose interest as the dance went on. Ugh, these parties of Venus' could drag on for a while, normally, but this seemed like it would be a particularly long one, given the current 'game.' She'd completely zoned out for a moment, when the applause signalling the end of the dance brought her attention back to the dance floor. In a fluster, she tried to reach for one of the top cards, but apparently she'd gotten them out of order and ended up holding up a 2 for Iordanes and Serendipity instead of a higher score as she'd intended.

    ---

Chuckling at the antics of the flamboyant God of Marriages, Artemis had to admit, they were putting on an entertaining show. He and the hooved female whirled about the floor, shaking and twisting, generally seeming to have a good time of it as well. "Wonderful performance, thank you," she applauded with a smile. "You do not cease to entertain, do you, Hymnaios? And of course, lovely job by your beautiful partner as well," she said with a nod to Trixie. "Can't wait to see what you show us next round." She held up a 9 for Hymnaios and Trixie.

    ---

Ah, this pretty pair again. The Goddess of the Hunt smiled, watching them move in complete synchronization. They made a pretty couple, and as a bonus, they danced well together. They seemed to get a bit more into the dance this time. "Excellent work, both of you," Artemis praised, holding up a 9 for Thalia and Seiya. "It's a pleasure to watch you dance. Please, keep it up!"

    ---

Still less than amused with the male's choice of attire, Artemis sighed and tried to pay attention only to the dancing, not to the costume. Alright, perhaps they weren't as terrible as she may have scored them in the first round. She felt a little bad for not paying any attention previously...but they still needed work, so not too badly. Perhaps still a bit swayed by her opinion of his dress, Artemis held up a 4 for Kleta and Pelagios. "It was...okay, but you've still got some work to do."

    ---

Oh for goddesses' sake...what was this nonsense? Artemis looked away from the chaos, dropping her head so that she could massage her temples. Venus owed her big-time for this. There was no way that what was taking place in front of her could ever be mistaken for a cha-cha. Clearing her throat rather loudly and pointedly, she interrupted before the 'dance' could continue. "Ahem, err...thank you for...whatever that was. While definitely not a Cha-Cha, it might be considered entertaining...if not dangerous with all the flailing limbs. Fortunately, no one lost an eye, so..." she trailed off with a sigh, holding up a 5 for Aglaia and Ahi in a rush, having meant to grab a lower number.

    ---

Ugh, even if she wasn't dragging him around the dance floor, Euphrosyne was showing no more personality in her dancing than before. And Blizz looked to be some combination of confused and terrified. "Blizz, please try to stop being so afraid of your partner. She's not going to bite. And Euphrosyne, could you relax a bit? You're dancing as if you've been turned to stone. Smile. Relax. Have fun with this! It's only dancing!" she quipped, holding up a 2 for Euphrosyne and Blizz.

Wolfs Heart
Kleta looked at her partner, Pelagious, "Well, that wasn't completely horrible," some of the judges did not like their routine, which considering their role reversal made sense, Kleta wasn't exactly fond of it either. However, some of the judges had at least been entertained by their show. The green goddess was sad that her sister was already out of the competition, she'd have to stay in and represent the Spartan graces. Beyond that Kleta really wanted to win, she wanted the mortals to see her in all her fame and glory, to cheer for her, and call on her for her blessings. Kleta disappeared for a moment in fantasies of the cheering masses, and then she broke out of it to focus on the task at hand.

The waltz had been easy, all she had to do was lead her partner around, and do a twirl or a dip every once in a while. With the cha cha... there was a lot more individual work, not to mention flirting, her cousins would surely be better at a dance like this. "Ok... Pelagious... for this next dance, you need to move your hips a lot, like so..." she swayed her hips, and then placed her hands on his hips and moved them like they were supposed to go. It looked a bit awkward to see such a serious goddess teaching such a flirtatious dance. "And well..." This was going to be a disaster. "I won't be able to lead you Pelagious, you can do what I do though and it will look good."

Pelagious nodded, not really sure where this hip shaking thing come from but he figured he could do it. After all, was it not like shaking his hips at other people in rude gestures? Watching Kleta shake her hips, he mimcked the motion, only half coming off as a robot instead of a latin lover.

As time went on, he got more into it, shaking his bottom and jerking his hips and throwing his hands in the air. And trailing all over the dance floor looking for his chicken.

Every now and then he would grab Kleta and give her a dip, almost dropping her a couple times. To say that Pelagious was a bad dancer was yet another understatement.

Kleta had to smile and nod her head in approval, at least he was adding some flair to it, it was the most she could hope for since she really couldn't teach Pelagious how to do something so... coordinated as the cha cha. "You're doing well," she told him, she gave him a curious look as he strayed all over the dance floor, the next time they came together she whispered, "what on Telrunya are you doing?"

Kleta was in shock the first time he had dipped her, she would have feared for her life if she had one to lose. Kleta almost choked up, but kept herself composed, "warn me next time," she coached the pae. The second time was just as frightening, but this time she slid her leg around his seductively. It was awkward considering the male was wearing a dress, and Kleta wasn't exactly the "sexy" type. She in part did this as part of the dance, but her primary motivation was to keep him from dropping her.

Ahi heard his name, he stopped dancing as the music did and looked at the female he was dancing with "What is eliminated?" he questioned her. He didn't move off the dance floor just yet, "Did Ahi win?" he perks up a little more, the ruby would be wonderful, but even more treasure would make the water pae that much happier.

Pelagious blushed again, having been caught on his search. Stopping to wait for the next dance to be announced, he apologized. "I'm just trying to find a chicken. It seems my luck has turned sour..." he pouted, somewhat miffed his magic fruit had led him astray.

"But I guess I'll just focus on our next dance." he said. Waiting for the next dance to be announced, he turned to his green partner and asked "So what is your speciality? You wouldn't happen to inspire good points with the judges, would ya?" He gave Kleta a devilish eyebrow wiggle.

Alright, foxtrot! Yes, okay, he...sorta'...remembered this one. Okay, only slightly...

Still, he had a gorgeous partner, and they'd done well together so far. She was a pleasure to dance with, and he had no complaints about getting to spend so much time in close company with a lovely lady. Grinning, he turned to her and asked, "Are you familiar with this one? It's very light, can be quick, and the key is to keep your feet in line, stepping in your own footprints, like a fox."

He led her onto the dance floor when their turn came, starting out slowly so that she could catch on. Unfortunately, he should have been a bit more worried about his own feet. Trying to 'step in his own footprints' as he'd advised, he caught his toe in passing his ankle and promptly kicked his own foot out from under himself.

He quickly let go of his partner, so he didn't pull her with him, as he flailed a moment and tumbled on his backside. "...ow." Cringing visibly, the fallen Erote shoved aside his embarrassment and climbed back to his feet. "Don't suppose that's going to help our score any," he grumbled.

Foxtrot? Seiya wasn't familiar with this type of dance, but tried to work it out from the name. Well, he knew what foxes were, and a trot was a way of walking, though on all fours, right? That would be an awkward dance.

Maybe it was something more abstract. Light and quick like the fox, but still on two feet. Other than that, he couldn't imagine what he was supposed to do.

"Well, I do believe that you might have to lead a bit, my dear," he said, bowing to Thalia to start the dance. "I can take over once I get a feel for it."
