His thoughts fed into her head, not because she wanted to hear them, but because he was so close to her. The vicinity with which he entered was enough for her to hear the thoughts in his head without concentration. Without straining or struggling, draining herself of strength. His thoughts flowed through her mind, like an ocean at the shore, the waves lapping at the sand. He was terrified, lost, confused, battling with himself about what to do. Should he take the pastry? Should he trust this woman?

The woman's smile grew warmer as she continued holding out the pastry, "Lior, that is a lovely name," that was all she could manage to say, watching him approach and then hesitatingly stop. He was wise to be careful of her. She wasn't dangerous, but it was her nature. It was unpleasant if unchecked. Her aura was unpleasant, not because she wanted it to be, but because it simply was.

"Your papa is at home right now," she explained, patiently, softly, "But he needs your help, Lior," she made her voice come out as warm as she could, knowing that this boy needed to trust her every word.

At first, she was hesitant to bring up Lior's father, Yuan, up so soon, but she began to pick up that this boy was very close to him. Courageous enough to want to help out if he could. To save his father. Lilith would have to play on that. She had to inform the boy that there was danger, but not frighten him. Speak positively to the young, she remembered from ages ago. She could hardly remember the last time she had come face-to-face with a child. Despite this, she recalled as much as she could, staying calm and warm.

Everything that was against her nature.

A tiny smile twitched across his face before it was quickly lost behind his panda's head as Lior ducked lightly so only his eyes and up were visible. He liked his name too. That's where Papa had gotten his nickname from. That's why he called him his little light. He brightened a little at the comment about his name it made it a bit easier to look at the lady, to talk to her. "Th-thank you." He said voice muffled a bit thanks to the panda. His cheeks turned a little pink at the compliment as a shy streak revealed itself. When she answered his question though he got confused again. Why wasn't Papa here with him? The confusion grew but so did his worry as she continued to speak. Papa needed his help? If he needed his help why wasn't he with him in this place or back home with Papa? "Wh-what do you mean?" Lior asked worry entering his voice as he lowered his panda as he talked. If Papa needed him there was no question in the small boy's mind that he would help. This lady must know what his Papa needed help with and how he could.

Slowly the boy began to move again his tiny legs bringing him closer to the lady. Lior's eyes watched the lady as he came closer but at the same time he tried to peak behind her to see if there was anything in the shadows. Once he was almost certain there was nothing to jump out and grab him, Lior picked up the pace but only a bit. Eventually he came to a stop easily within reach of the woman. He couldn't take his eyes off of her for a moment, those bright purple eyes so different then any he had seen. Only his Uncle Xeny had strange eyes too. His were bright red but Lior didn't understand why. Uncle Xeny had said it had something to do with how he was born and that his didn't have normal skin, hair or eyes like Lior did. Not that the three year old really got it. Listening once more to the soft growling in his belly he shifted a little nervously. "M-Miss...Li-li-....Lily? C-Can I have a pasty?" Lior asked softly not wanting to be rude. Papa would be very mad at him if he was rude to someone who was going to help.

"Certainly, Lior," she again offered the pastry to the little boy. The smell of pumpkin reminding her of autumns come and gone. Leaves falling from the trees, and the cool winds that warned of winter's approach. The memories stung at her heart, but she made sure that the sadness stayed hidden, locked away so that Lior would not see. So that Lior could trust her.

When he called her Lily, she felt another stab to her heart. A nickname of her past. Many eons ago, before everything had changed. Before she was put in this place, as a pet. A feared god. The head of an organization that she abhorred more than light itself. Taking her in the night as they had, placed her on a throne of chains, calling her Mother. The Family wouldn't be the first ones to use that title on her.

She watched the boy, handing off the pastry. Lilith couldn't help but pick on more of his thoughts, his past, his emotions... his very being entered her's. With how close he approached, Lilith was overwhelmed by the simplicity and the complexity. Hand-in-hand, unlikely, but there. This child was everything she had expected and more. Down to the name. To the very name, which meant, 'light'. A Hebrew name.

It was a beautiful puzzle were the pieces were fitting together so perfectly.

"I need to send your papa a message, but I cannot reach him," Lilith whispered, hoping the boy would listen as he ate, "I need your help, Lior. I need you to help me send your papa a message. Can you help me with that?" she spoke softly, kindly.

Lior took the offered pastry after shifting his grip on his panda to hold him around the neck so he could hold the treat easier. Taking a bite, a bit bigger then he probably should, the growls of his tummy started to lesson a the sweet pumpkin taste filled her mouth. A pleased little hum left him as he devoured the thing finding it to taste almost better then when Papa cooked. He loved his Papa's cooking and found himself wondering what would have been for dinner tonight. Would Papa eat without him? Maybe he would wait for him...he hoped not. Papa shouldn't be hungry it isn't a nice feeling. Lily spoke softly to him while he worked to finish the pastry. A message to Papa? "What kinda message, Miss Lily?" He asked back up as he finished the pastry. Brushing the crumbs off his hands he paid little mind to the few that stuck to his face. Lior's primary concern was his father. Whatever he could do to help his Papa he would. Miss Lily seemed nice too though he still wasn't comfortable with this place.

"I can't write very well....but I can try...." Lior continued not sure what to say there. Papa had been showing him his letters and Lior thought the song that Papa sang to teach him was silly but fun. They often played the letter game at home to help him learn and now he was very certain that G was for Grog just as Y was for Yuan his papa's name. Was this going to be helpful? Lior didn't know but he felt the need to help rising up over his fear of this place. "Wh-What can I do, Miss L-lily?" He asked almost reaching out to tug lightly at the woman's dress. Lior stopped short though not sure if he should be touching this woman. Papa didn't like it when he tugged on his clothing for attention. Once was allowed but that was only if Papa didn't know he had come downstairs or was lost in a vision. What would this lady think if he did that? Would it be annoying? Right now he didn't want to get in trouble. He was in enough as it was.

This was good progress. Lior was eating the pastry greedily and he trusted her enough to do it, too. The poor thing was hungry, eating the pumpkin pasty in a few bites. She had never seen someone stuff so much into their mouth at once and she smiled with amusement. Lior wiped the crumbs on his off, but not on his face. It was adorable how he looked up at Lilith with his big blue eyes, face covered with crumbs.

Lilith's smile returned to its warmth, "All you must do, Lior," she whispered softly, "is touch my hand,"

The woman slowly held her slender hand out for the child. It was soft and pale like her face, but delicate and cold. The child would most likely notice just how cold she would feel to the touch. Deathly cold. The poor thing. She hoped it wouldn't frighten him.

All he had to do was take her hand? You could send messages that way? How was that possible? Lior knew Papa would write a lot and send letters out with an owl or Grog. Often Uncle Xeny's eagle would come by to Lior's delight. He loved that bird so big and pretty. It was almost a toss up as to if he loved the eagle or Uncle Xery's black bird. Lior didn't see a bird down here so how....There really wasn't much of a way for him to find out other then to do what Lily had said. A wave of nervousness rolled over the young boy why though he didn't understand. Clutching tighter to his bear Lior found himself hesitating again. Lily had been very nice. She gave him food, talked to him and seemed to be the nicest person here. Unlike the Lady who had taken him from his home or the Man who had brought him down here to where Lily stayed, she was friendly. Lior would almost go as far as to say he liked her. She wanted to help his Papa that was a good thing. How could she be bad like the other people?

"Oh tay, Miss Lily." Lior said reaching for her hand with his own. Tiny and warm he felt like his hand was lost in her's when he placed it there. It was cold, very cold and he almost pulled away. He didn't like to be cold but Miss Lily said he needed to touch her hand to send the message. How long did he have to hold it there? Lior decided right then that she needed gloves. This place was not warm enough if her hands felt like that. Maybe he could get her a blanket after they sent Papa the message. Would that Lady or that Man give him one? Lior wasn't sure he wanted to talk to them but he would try. Did Lily know how cold she felt? He found himself hoping she wouldn't get sick from that. Papa always said he had to bundle up when it was cold or he would get sick. That was a rule for everyone....wasn't it?

Even though, at first he hesitated, Lilith could feel Lior letting go of that fear. Trusting her. He reached his little hand out for her delicate one. Lilith's eyes rolled into the back of her head the moment Lior touched her hand. She had only ever done this once before, and that was years ago. Despite this, she would take the chance. This boy would be the conductor of his message. He would be the connection between her and his father, Yuan.

Within her mind's eye, she pressed herself into Lior's mind. Projecting herself through his seer mind, she connected herself into Yuan's head, forcing a vision, "Don't be afraid," Lilith's voice echoed in the mind's eye, "but you have no time to delay,"

With the vision, she forced through a flash of images that she collected over the years that she had been trapped. Images that The Family thought they were blocking her from receiving, but the younger members were weak with the practice. They didn't protect all the memories, all the visions, from her mind's eye.

The first set of images to flash through Lior's, and thus Yuan's, mind was the face of a young boy, with purple hair and eyes. Dangerous, wild and evil intent in his eyes. This image faded away and was replaced by a sign that read 'Little Hangleton'. Speeding forward, she presented an image of a cottage, outside of the town. A memory she had borrowed from a Family member. Then, the images fade away. Lastly, she provided an image of Hogwarts, speeding down to Hogsmeade, to a dark shop. The man would know where this was. Lilith provided a clear image of this shop. Another memory borrowed.

Then, she was done. The images were sent, pushed through Lior to Yuan. It took a lot out of her, and she looked at the young one to see how he was doing.

It felt like someone was pushing against his skull and frankly he didn't like it. His eyes watered for a moment and a tiny whimper left the toddler before his eyes rolled back. Lior stood perfectly still at that moment as his body reacted just the way any older Seer did to a vision though his wasn't quite a normal situation. Things flashed in his mind, distant but very close at the same time. It was like he was seeing thing through Lily's eyes instead of his own. Who was that boy? Where were those places? Through her mind he could tell what the sign said but wasn't sure how the sounds rolled together to make sense. A village came into view and a shop though he knew not where it was or what it was. Papa must know though why else would Lily send it to him? Papa would know what to do with those things even if Lior didn't. He was good at puzzles and even better at games, after all he always won when it came to hide n seek.

When she pulled out though the pain returned and a tiny whimper left him. He swayed a little as his body started to shake from the effort. Lior had only had one vision in his life and it had been while he slept. Papa had been right there to comfort him and get his body to calm down. This time though Papa wasn't there. His teal eyes got watery again and now his stomach was upset....maybe the pastry wasn't a good idea. He never had pumpkin before. Without a second thought the small body moved forward to the kneeling woman. Tiny fingers clutched at her dress as he buried his face against her still shaking. She was cold but at this moment he didn't care. Right now he was feeling very much like a two year old and he was supposed to be a big boy. A small sniffle left the boy but he did the best he could not to cry even if he didn't understand a thing that had just happened. "D-Did he...g-get it?" He asked his voice barely a whisper.

Tired as she was, her exhaustion could not be put first yet. The child was scared, tired, in pain. All these things she knew, because he was telling her. He didn't know that that's what he was doing, but it was. Lior was telling Lilith everything that he was feeling and thinking. The poor dear.

She gently stroked the toddler's hair, trying to calm him down. His little body was shaking against her. He had done a lot by being the conductor in this exchange of memories. The little child had a right to be tired, to be afraid, and so Lilith let him do whatever he wanted at that moment. She continued to stroke his head, then his back.

"I do not know, little one, but I hope so," Lilith shifted slightly, the chains rattling. She was still trapped and, until someone came to rescue her, she would never know - truly know - if the message reached its destination.

She gently rocked the child, "Rest, Lior," Lilith whispered to him. Soon after, she began humming a lullaby to calm Lior's nerves.

Everything was coming together. Everything. Wife of his was happy with the child she requested. They were selling Miracle like mad, the demand was amazing. At this rate, everyone would have a bottle in their house. And that was his intention. For every house, every person, ever child to have a bottle. To have a sip of Miracle. That's all it took. Just one, tiny sip.

And that wasn't all, he wanted to release three new types of potions to the market. Why not? Make money on the side of everything. Just a little, anyway, considering half would be going to Xilan and his men. The money was a plus, but it was not the main reason for Miracle. No, those reasons were far more important, far more sinister than making a buck.

Looking at one of the men off to the side, all the man said was, "Son of mine, take two of your brothers or sisters and collect blood," he crossed his arms, smirking, "The mermaid and the centaur, specifically. Bring the blood down here for experimentation,"

Was he getting too greedy? Was he rushing things? All he knew was that he hated Arachnid with every fiber of his being and the mixture that had come out of him drinking the phoenix... it was beautifully haunting. Dangerous and powerful. Just like vampires. Everything they did... even everything they created was like them.

He needed to get more vials out into the market.

The man bowed obediently, "As you wish, Father of mine," Father was trusting him with this job, and he would try to do this, to please his Father and brothers and sisters. He would make them proud to call him a brother. This, he could do, fearlessly and without protest. Despite the fact that a centaur was a dangerous creature when frightened. Such a powerful kick, such a fierce spirit!

He turned, a brother and sister following him closely. Up the stairs they ascended. A darkness enveloped them as they reached the room where the hostages were. Right in the center of the room, there they all waited, silent, angry at each other and themselves. The stress of being trapped, with no chance of escape was getting to them, and this man thought it hilarious to watch.

The dagger was handed to him, silently. Examining it, the man nodded in approval. It was a beautiful tool that would help The Family in their cause. Next, the man drew his wand, "Petrificus Totalus," he announced as he waved it at the centaur. The spell erupted from the darkness where he stood.

Emerging, flanked by his two followers, the man approached with the knife ready. He was following Father's orders, doing his job. This centaur had to have some of her blood taken.

She felt her limbs snap together, as if an invisible force prevented her from moving them apart. Single Chaser Werewolf Gryffindor Fourth Year

Ⓡⓔⓜⓨ listened intently when she heard footsteps. Who was next to get tortured? In a weird sort of way, she hoped it was her. She was being crushed under the immense weight of her guilt. She should have told the other girls to stay. What if one of them was going to get fed to Mr. Terran? She was scared, not only for them, but for the centaur, mermaid, Mr. Terran and... Sehza. She shivered in her seat, still trying not to struggle, but it was hard not to want to move the chains. They were scalding her flesh worse than any fire could. She wanted to give her apologies, but could not find the words to say. Worse yet, another stranger was there to hurt one of them.

The process was very quick, believe it or not. Just a small cut on the centaur's side, drained most of it into a small pail that one of the followers had. When they had collected what he thought was enough, the young man pulled out a vial from his pocket. Uncorking it, the followers were quick to prop up the centaur. He simply provided her with a few drops of the blood, and corked the rest.

They all backed away as he unpetrified the creature, "Careful of her kick," was all he said as he turned away from her. They had finished with the centaur for now.

Next, the mermaid.

They did the same thing, except they didn't need to petrify this one. Just needed to pull her out of the water, and the mermaid was at their will. She was weak, not very strong, even when she flashed between beauty and beast. Merpeople were not known for their strength when removed from the water. Which made it easier to get the sample of blood from her. Still, just for safety, they had their wands pointed at her threateningly.

When they had finished, he fed her a few drops of the same blood he had fed the centaur, replacing her back into the water when she had some. She simply slid into the water, bashful, perhaps, of them.

They had what they had come for, and they headed back down to the blood room.

ℋeather was bored. It was torture in itself just to sit here, waiting, wondering what they would do to them next, and to whom. The speck of dirt on her shoe that she had been staring at was the only thing she would watch. She couldn't look at the others, for when she did, she could only picture what evil things would happen to them in this place. Then, she heard a spell being cast, and a body hit the floor. It could only be the centaur, for everyone else was either tied to a chair or in a bathtub. Someone came over to said bathtub and took blood from the mermaid, slicing her side once and collecting the fluid that flowed through her fishy veins. "What are you doing to them? Why do you need their blood?" But before she got an answer, he was gone, disappearing into the mysterious staircase that led downwards. Heather sighed, and looked to the mermaid. She opened her mouth to ask her if she was okay, but instantly closed it and lowered her gaze to her show again. All I can see is her, on the floor, screaming and gasping for water that would never come... Her thoughts were not helpful at all, so she silenced them, taking interest in the speck of dirt on her shoe once again.
