The jest was dry but the feline person thing was ruffled and Jing put his hands up in alarm. "Jeeze, you act as if i'm going to try and skin you like the red head over there, relax, pelts aren't my thing." he countered back, sneering at the guy and giving him the one finger salute before feeling the heavy weight of one G and his hand. The hand definitely weighed more than One gram as he pried the limb gently off his shoulder and rolled it a bit. "Right, family. no fighting." he said back. G really had to watch the weight he used when grabbing people.

Perhaps it was the alcohol, perhaps it was a festering need to assert himself in this den of wolves, perhaps it was that Roar was too busy shmoozing to babysit his partner and Ferros wasn't quite quick enough to stop the train wreck.
Jerry stormed up behind Nuk, his scarred expression trembling with assertive A-WOOWOOWOO-lpha wolf, pushing his way around G to give the shapeshifter a sharp shove at the shoulder- the man's skin tingled where Jerry's fingertips shoved. "Is this man bothering you, Miss Candace?"
Not that she didn't have the situation under control already. The important thing was he had the nerve to something at all.

You know, Gargantuan had been not-so-secretly hoping that this day would come. A tiger wanted to love him. Him! Of course, with big kitties came a big amount of weight, and though G was a large man... well, Massacre nearly knocked him flat on his a** on the floor. Practically sputtering with surprise (and delight), G would tentatively attempt to ruffle the big cat's ears, his muscles straining to keep both him and the cat supported.
"N-Noted, ma'am." G managed, trying to lift one hand to doff his hat for Candice, but he staggered thanks to the tiger, and couldn't quite manage it. "He's just a good boy, huh? Who's a good, big boy? You are!"
Yes, baby talk had happened. G just liked kitties, okay, don't judge.
A nod was offered to Jing, quite pleased. There might be tension, sure, but as long as there was no fighting, he was a happy man. "Glad to hear it, bud."
That was when his legs gave out, and there was a spectacular crash as G went tumbling over.

Rin applauded Melvin as he seemed to find his courage and storm right into... the tigers den, sigh. She approached the bar and offered Mass a scathing glare, "You're being naughty aren't you? Do you not want your supper tonight? Go back to your master where you belong and stay there." Such a hypocritical thing to say when her own pet wasn't too far away tucking into a cornish game hen that most certainly had not been intended for them.

Mass liked this man! He was nice, and he showed his affection with sandpapery tiger kisses which weren't all they were cracked up to be with a tongue like a bristle brush. He couldn't purr but he could make all manner of contented snarls - which probably didn't help Melvin's perspective much.
His happiness only came to an end when Rep caught wind of what was going on and stood sharply from his bar stool and narrowed his eyes. The ******** thing was meant to be intimidating and dangerous, not some massive lovable lapcat. He wanted a battle cat, not a ******** cringer. Rin's voice drew his attention even more directly to what was going on and he strode past her on his way to the ruckus
"Massacre you little s**t, I swear to ********> Mass's ears went back immediately at Rep's tone and he extracted himself from Garg immediately. But it was a bit too late, Rep backhanded him rather brutally in the nose and made him back up with a sound of surprise. "Get over there till you grow some balls!" he jabbed a finger in the direction of the bar, where the tiger, somewhat cowed slunk to curl under a bar stool giving him a hurt look he didn't buy at all.
Rep rounded on the rest of them. "And stop ******** feeding him or I'll feed him you."

Riyo appeared flabbergasted at the large man's words, her brows knitting together as she mentally repeated them to herself. He was either very sweet, or very stupid. The woman usually leaned towards the latter.
It was brief, but for only a moment, there was something there besides anger. Riyo never had a family. Not a real family. Being a problem child and too smart for her own good, she had bounced from foster home to foster home until she was finally old enough to live by herself. So it came as no surprise that G's words were something original. Something that had never been said to her before, and the teency weency part of her that still held out hope for some kind of compassion, any kind really, might've been touched.
"Don't. Don't you dare look out for me. I consider it an insult." She spoke through her teeth as her glare intensified, only to be broken by the tiger jumping up on her current opponent. She paused, if only to admire the beast for one last moment, before turning back around. "If I'm in trouble, I will find my own way out of it, or I'll die. It's that simple." And no one would mourn. That was how she wanted it. That was how it should be.

A deep, rumble of a laugh was echoing throughout G's barrel-like chest, and the attention was received with open arms. That tongue felt like it was scraping off skin, but hey, if Mass really wanted to hurt him, he thought it'd be pretty obvious.
It was only when Rep's voice rang out that Gargantuan cringed as well, scrambling up to his feet and hurriedly batting at his suit. Had to make it look nice. The sound of the smack was enough to make him wince, his hand half-reaching out before it dropped. Not his place. Didn't want to make it worse for the poor cat, when he'd been the one to get it in trouble in the first place.
"Sorry, sir." He mumbled, staring at his shoes even as his ears burned crimson."Won't happen again." That was a lie. He'd just have to be a bit more sneaky about going about it, make sure he didn't get himself or Massacre in trouble next time.
Riyo's words earned a blink, and they finally seemed to sink in even as the woman had turned as if to go. "Not meanin' no insult." He protested, holding up his large hands as though to pacify her. Words weren't going to help here, and he wasn't nearly clever enough to formulate them properly.
Well. That just meant he was going to have to keep an eye out for that young girl, whether she liked it or not. Hurtin' her pride wouldn't do him any good, but he sure as hell wasn't going to let her get killed because of it, neither.

G went crashing down. Jing figured the g focred from being so tall just crushed the guy under his won weight or something.
it was either that or he was a total loon. "you think you can manage standing on your two feet for a while longer?" he asked apprehensively.
you know, family and all that jazz.

Jerry made his..wonderful arrival, shoving Nuk and getting in his face. It took everything Candace had not to facepalm. "Jerry, no. It's fine. We were just talking." She reached out to put a seemingly gentle hand on his shoulder, instead gripping it tightly in warning and leaning in to whisper in his ear. "Go back to your drink and when there's time later I'll give you a nice reward." Candace's voice was a purr as she offered a reward that really would not be coming, releasing her hold on the man to instead kindly pat his shoulder and step around him. She liked this new man, he was different.
Rep spoke up and distracted her, smacking poor Mass on the nose and upsetting the poor tiger. Her eyes widened and she practically bristled with anger. That idiot. She'd have to find a nice big steak to give Massy later, that poor thing.
"Now if you'll excuse me, I think it's time to meet the newer faces I see around here." She needed to get away from Rep before she slapped him and she needed to get away from Jerry. She nodded to Po who followed close alongside her, the taller woman's hand hovering close to Candace's lower back as she guided her through the large room.

Problems. Rep was getting irritated with Mass and the attention he drew. Jordan sighed, nodded to Melvin, and went to perform some damage control. He moved over to Rep, slipped his arm around the red-haired man's waist, and smiled at him. "They just want to admire that magnificent pet of yours," he purred. "You're showing off, aren't you? Let them have a good, long look. If nothing else, Mass will have a nice snack later."
Ferros appeared behind Jerry again. "Miss Candace," he said calmly. "Is someone bothering you? We can have security take care of it, if you so desire."

Melvin had not come to the tiger. He stood where he had been, only using the chair in case the tiger decided to go on a rampage and decided to dine on everyone before coming after him. Tigers didn't care who Harrison was or his assembled group and would be fine with tearing them all apart.
When the tiger was hit and sent to it's corner, Melvin set his chair down and slowly sank into it before holding his sides and taking deep, long breathes. Then he thought that deep long breathes were a very stupid concept and popped a blue pill instead.

Jerry's face went red and his glasses fogged up as Candace hissed in his ear.
"I... ah..."
Ferros was looming. He swallowed deeply.
"Um."
Images of special surprises were dancing in his head, bathed in romantic candle light...

Rin sighed, she was too late. She shook her head at the white tiger cowering from its master. But how long can that game go on, really? How long. Her gaze lingered on Rep's tiger skin coat just a bit too long before falling back to Melvin. Well, at least he was trying, she shook her head.
Byr looked more confident once Mass was sent cowering under the bar. He wanted Rep's attention more than any smelly beast. There appeared to be some form of intervention however and Jordan seemed to now be in the way. This was going to be a while... his gaze traveled and traveled... and hellooo~ He eyed Tracey up and down from afar. It was such a shame that they hardly ever needed his... attentions... but they had it all the same.

Rep seemed to freeze mid furious tirade, giving a moment's leeway as his brain processed who would have the balls to put an arm around his waist in such a propitiatory way. It didn't take long to figure it out as a familiar silken purr sapped the anger right out of him. He went from poised and dangerous to borderline submissive, looking away as he mumbled.
"Aye. I just. He's too friendly sometimes, you know?" He was well aware he couldn't be over-affectionate in public, at a meeting like this it was downright unprofessional. But he had never been a professional kind of guy. He dropped his hand and gave Jordan an entirely inappropriate butt squeeze.
"Maybe he'll learn eventually~" he crooned.
Tracey was watching Jerry get scolded with vague interest and even gave Byr a wave.

Ferros' call to her stopped Candace's departure to check out what he wanted. Ah, she liked Ferros. She smiled, her eyes darting to Rep and then to Jerry. Someone bothering her? "Thank you for the offer, Ferros. I'll keep that in mind but for the moment my answer to your question would likely find me not in good graces with certain people." So she would wisely keep her mouth shut this time. Po rolled her eyes.
"I'll let you know if she changes her mind, 'Ros." She told him with a respectful nod, nudging Candace further from the bar now. Po's priority was to get Candace away from things that were a threat to her girl, and right now Jerry was definitely a threat, and Rep was often an annoyance. Playtime with those boys was over.
