Just as she was about to comment on the elves' sudden, creepy change in disposition, the floor dropped out on them.
And down the students went.

Lumikki heard the boil rather then saw him first, smiling she recognized the voice. It was the same boil from her exam...but in all reality she really couldn't remember his name. Looking up at him she noticed he was asking about a toilet. She started to wave when the elves got this odd idea to start chanting about the toilet. As she looked down at the ground she whimpered, oh this was just great she knew she should have staid home. Screaming as she felt the ground fall from under her. What else could possibly go wrong. Chuppi had managed to snag two more pieces of candy before she was suddenly moved from where she was beneath Bell's skirts.
This was not going to end well, not at all.

Aymet clambered his way over to where the general group seemed to be spread out poking around the walls and door. He felt slow. And bad. The stuff that wouldn't have stopped him till he dissipated now made everything seem heavy. It was the lack of FEAR, he supposed. Everywhere the necromantic magic on his body fizzled and frayed, the bones felt heavier, harder to control. In no time at all he'd be a bunch of dead weight. It'd just take one more punch of that stupid machine...
Sparrow had snuck up on him and he nearly jumped. If he'd been any faster he might have tried to rake his claws right through the poor Reaper. He was sort of glad he didn't have the strength here.
"No, nothing. Just that that stupid machine knocked my arm all the way across the room," he sighed. He flexed it experimentally, feeling for the problems that lurked under the metal gauntlet. "Oh, Jack. I think it's broken."
It was only when the elves began their strange chanting that the dracolich snapped out of his self-pity session to realize everything was rushing up, up, because he and everyone else were falling down, down, down --

And thus Sharra learned that he should never ask questions.
Ever.
He'd been about to wave back to Lumikki, an innocent gesture, and certainly it would have been nice to spend some time with a person that would acknowledge his existence. She, likely, was just as confused as he was. Little did they know that they were about to find out the answer to the question that she had voiced. All because one Sharra Eldwaithe had to open his gigantic mouth and seal the deal for the lot of them. Oh grand. He could try to put the bright side on it, that at least something was happening. But that was most certainly a lie...Christmas would only get them killed, and for what? Joyous reasons, he was certain.
And all because he'd thought to ask one liiiiiiiiittle tiny harmless question!
It always got him in the worst sorts of trouble. The sort wherein he was trapped in the infirmary for the entire Christmas debacle, the sort of shenanigan that had gotten them marooned on an island (he was fairly certain that could probably be traced back to asking a dumb question, probably to their oh so JOYFUL captain at the time), it had sent him spiraling into depression and a rather loathsome and serious bout of self-examination that had left the Nergal boil feeling just a touch uncomfortable.
So as they were sent whisking away down into the depths of Christmas and all its twisted happiness, Sharra had to wonder just where precisely they had been exiled this time. As the demon was fairly certain it wasn't the toilet. Great. Just great.

There had been at least five sentences Belladonna wanted to say. At least, if not more. She was a chatty ghoul after all, but well, that whole floor loss thing was pretty amazing at curbing speech. Not sure whether to hold down her skirt as she plummeted down or grab at Chuppi, the witch only managed a tiny squeak before she went sailing down.
Layers of skirt at least would make a nice landing pad.

There were agreements and disagreements about her kicking the door, but none of that mattered when the word toilet was uttered.

"We are being fluuuuushhhheeeddd!!!!" Terra yelped as as the floor opened beneath them, taking her totally off guard--she had been caught in the middle of taking a sip from the mug of hot chocolate. But she kept the mug as she fell.
