"Hold onto that until your first field trip and see if something else doesn't come to mind then."

Rosc finally looked up from organizing the kit when Cricket explained what the chalk and orange liquid were for. So he was right, it did have something to do with how the water had filled up the tubs and stopped at that line. He didn't feel the least bit scolded that he hadn't asked because, well, he already had a suspicion. THought he probably should have but... It was a darn good suspicion.
And when it came to the orange liquid, he was quite glad he had picked something that was familiar to him.

Lumi's idea was a good one, if it worked, though he nodded in agreement just the same. But then he sort of felt that would be a waste of it when you could just use gauze. Then again, things might just leak through the gauze.

"It could also be used to make a little bit of water go a much longer way, right?" Like it had in the FEARHealing workshop. Though, really, that felt like something of a waste of it, filling up tubs for washing. Unless it was easy to come by. "Could help with dehydration. Or if you needed to make just enough of whatever liquid for one be enough for several, would the reforming work if you put the liquid in a larger container and then drew the line?"
Or did that count as maintaining?

Millie looked down at her own assortment of objects on her desk.

"Now that you mention it. What ARE some of these used for? ...
The syringe is maybe a FEAR dispenser? No, that's not right. We already have one of those."

Should I have taken the FEAR injection pen instead?

Millie soon found herself frantically second-guessing herself as her eyes darted across the table at all the items. Taking the injection pen would be silly. What would a reaper need it for? Why did I take this pen light? Will this eyepatch be useful at all? Maybe I should have gotten something else.

With her eyes still darting around and trying to quell her frantic thoughts, she may as well be honest.

"I'm still not sure what the potions do..." Millie said meekly.

Then why did you take them?

12. A hot glue gun that seems to run on FEAR (ouch)
13. The Black Potion - this doesn't look safe at all, and Cricket just smiles when you ask about it.
14. tube of anti-burn gel
15. A syringe that is capped and has a thick orange liquid in it. Cricket seems hesitant to be giving it out to the students, but....

Cricket might have shot Millie a look as she muttered about the Syringe. She'd just touched on the properties of how it burned limbs off.

"That is one use for it, if you're trying to use water sparingly for whatever reason, or have to ration it." Cricket answered to Rosc's suggestion.

Lumikki's mention of Insanity brought a small frown. "That is not a liquid. This chalk cannot contain that which is not a liquid, unfortunately." she answered. If it could, she would have been using it on students long ago.

"I was thinking more if someone didn't have a lot to begin with," Rosc replied, one hand moving to rub a bit at his blindfold, where his right eye would be, half in thought and half because it felt a little sore.

"I just remembered when you filled up the tubs with water in one of the other workshops." A glance around the classroom, without a head-turn, told him a few of the students here had been at that one. He shrugged.

...Now he was somewhat curious. Lumi must be contagious.
"And the other two liquids, what do they do?"

"The wipes sound like a good i--wait, what?" What was Tomo thinking of?! "Er, well, yeah! Good and versatile." Sweet Jack, not even he could think of something that would require getting into tight spaces with a wipe!

"And then, that leaves..." So many more boxes. Thackery got the feeling that Cricket might not be pleased if they just had bandages and some antiseptic in their kits. "...maybe we could pick the prettiest things? Do you think that would work?"

He felt like this might be influencing her in the wrong direction, but picking the pretty things hadn't really let him astray. Yet.

But she'd managed to erase all of his doubts, like she always did. He stood tall and perked his ears with pride, because that's what kings would do. "Yeah, super strong! But not too strong to need backup." He leaned forward, grinning, ears pointed towards her. "And that's where you'd come in."

Roch, on the other hand, was staring at the orange syringe with a scowl. He could see some reasons to use it, if there was absolutely no other choice--

"If a guy's stuck under a rock, I'd rather off him than take a leg," he said. "Would it work on hunters?" he asked Cricket, not yet ready to give it up. "Say we take one or both their arms off with it. Or better yet, their heads?"

Terra stared at him in shock--then shook her head, because hunters were not real... right?

Cricket gave Roch a very calm look.

"You say that as though they will always respawn. I'm sure you have a classmate or two who could attest to the fact that we do not always come back." she made a few pointed glances, but said nothing further. "So if you would rather kill someone permanently than save them at the loss of something so tangential, that is your call. However..." she looked towards the syringe.

"You can put that back. You will not be leaving with it." she sounded quite irritated by this point.

Tomoko had legitimately not actually thought of anything concrete for that kind of use, but it was the thought that counted, right? She was just trying to be prepared.. just in case. Still, she flinched at the angry sound of the nurse's voice, scooting closer to Thackery and making a small whimpering noise. Clearly there was some angry talking going on.

"I'm just not gonna touch the last box..." she whined. It sounded like bad things happened with it and she wasn't willing to put up with the nurse's angry mood to try and get anything shiny. Instead, she carefully picked over the potions, picking up the gold and purple ones and giving them both a curious swirl.

"They're the same colors as us!" Beaaammm.

Roch stopped, his face blank in a patent way as he remembered what had happened on the island.

"You're right," he said. "The big black guy didn't come back." But he didn't argue as he headed for the boxes, putting it back where it had come from and grabbing a thing of anti-burn gel instead.

"Big--" Terra stopped herself as she saw the dark expression on Roch's face. Whatever had happened, it didn't seem to sit well with the older reaper.

It seemed that her point had been made, and Roch had accepted it without further ado. "No. Humans never respawn." she answered. "Which is why we teach you to be careful with them." She held little love for the hunters, but if they illustrated what Roch needed to know, so be it.

Carefully, Cricket pulled a trio of her centipedes out of the sixth box instead, setting them on Roch's desk without another word.

Roch has been given a 16th item for his kit - they somehow fit without futher fussing.

Roch picked up the centipedes, treating them rather gently. "These can be used t'talk t'you, right? Like that time in the healing tent. Do they do anything else?" He let them climb over his hand and forearm, watching them with a slight smile. It seemed getting new little buddies had cheered him out of his memories.
